This is a good meal to have if you are on Lake St. Mary's and want something quick to eat. It's nothing special, but it is good bar food. I personally wasn't hungry and ordered off of the kids menu and the serving size was big enough for me. Overall it was a good meal and our waitress was young and attentive.

For my 1300th review, I was to talk about the amazing experience my family and I had at Boardwalk Grill! We came to Boardwalk Grill on our second foray into Celina. Although reviews on yelp are mixed, I heard great thing from several people I know about this place. They were right, yelp was wrong. Let's talk first about the ambience and decor of the place. Its welcoming, laid back, very cool kinda place. Totally captures that wonderful vibes of a great lakeside/beachside bar. Its right in front of Grand Lake, and you get this great breeze. There seating inside and up on top... but you get a good breeze regardless. The staff is friendly, helpful, engaged, and hey have hustle. We had no wait to be seated and our waitress got our drinks order immediately. Just an example of engagement, when I ordered the Nutrl Classic Lemonade Vodka Seltzer, she asked if I would tell her how it was as she would like to know for future customer recommendations. I had never had it, and it was crisp and refreshing! Perfect for a hot summer day! I did tell her that. My mom got a pina colada, my brother was the only one who did not get an adult beverage, he got a soda. She absolutely loved the pina colada, by the way. Ordering our apps was a little more difficult, only because there were so many great choices! We got the crispy garlic shrimp, and the shrimp was fresh and flavorful! While we munched on those delectable shrimp, we made our orders for our main courses. My mom ordered some chicken tenders and fries, my brother ordered the boardwalk burger and fries and I ordered the brisket smash burger. Per the menu, "the brisket smash burger is an angus beef burger and angus smoked brisket piled high with a rich white American cheese and grilled onions, and special sauce on a grilled white bread." I got mine without the onions. My brother and mother loved their food. I had a piece of the chicken tenders, I think they are some of the most delicious tenders I've ever had! The brisket burger, thats special! The brisket was tender, the burger was cooked to perfection, even the bread was buttery and crunchy... just a perfect dish! I can guarantee you that my family and I will be back!

Took a chance on Boardwalk Grill for dinner mainly because it was close to our hotel and who doesn't love eating by the lake? It offers open-air seating with an excellent view of Grand Lake. The place was hopping on a holiday weekend and the wait staff kept pace. Husband and I both had the fish tacos. The fish pieces were battered and fried. Tasty and would order again. Overall a great dinner and will return if we're ever in that area again.

The atmosphere is awesome, the service is great. This is a great place to drink and watch the game or listen to the live band but their food so disappointing. The only thing that was good was their sidewinder fries. Nachos, nothing impressive there... beef was bland. The cuban sandwich, was like a deli sandwich..a waste of money there but like I said a great place to drink.

We waited over an hour and our food never came out! 2 apps, a drink and 3 pops was over $70! Ended up leaving out of frustration.

The burger and fish tacos were delicious, the beer is reasonable to be a waterfront restaurant.

As a seafood lover, I was sold just based on the name alone The building itself is pretty cool. We were told it dates back to the 1880s and is the 2nd oldest building in Indiana behind some other one in Indianapolis. You can definitely feel the history when you walk in. The place is small, with only about 14 tables, and everything is packed in pretty tight, but that's part of what gives it character. The old bar immediately grabbed my attention and looked like it hadn't changed much in over a century We started with the Parmesan baked oysters, which were outstanding and surprisingly fresh for being in the Midwest The homemade clam chowder was loaded with clams and flavor. It was so good it didn't need anything added to it. We also ordered a couple of smoked Old Fashioneds that were a great way to start the night I wanted sea bass, but they were out, so I went with the walleye fish and chips. It's honestly hard for me to pass up fish and chips when they're on a menu, I'm glad I did. The fish was well-seasoned and on point My wife went with a seafood combo that included seafood au gratin, bay scallops, shrimp, crab, applewood bacon risotto, and baked in a lobster creamy sauce Being in Fort Wayne for just one night, this ended up being a great find. The food was excellent, the service was friendly (Shoutout Lindsay) and the whole place had a nostalgic feel that made the experience even better If you're passing through and in the mood for seafood or live locally, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

The restaurant only holds about 50 dinners and the tables are uncomfortably small & close together. It's also located in a neighborhood that might make some people take caution. On the flip side...The Oyster Bar offers 130 years of history in a uniquely older facility that features fresh high quality seafood along with outstanding service. You decide what you value and how you want to spend your dinning dollars. The Oyster Bar is located south of downtown area on Calhoun Street. The vintage building is well signed, lighted and offers an easy-in-easy-out side parking lot. The restaurant only holds about 50 dinners with a limited number of tables and a small bar. I would suggest that you call and make a reservation as The Oyster Bar is a fairly popular place to dine. Inside the building has retained the historic look. The foyer is very small...just like walking into an old house. They feature lots of dark hardwoods and a vintage looking bar. The tables are located very close together as you would expect in a small area. I think the tables are smaller in size as it was difficult to accommodate all the dishes, menus, glasses and cell phones. The white table linens and attractive "sea going" decor help set the experience. The staff on this night was very friendly, professional and helpful. They made us feel welcomed quickly. The waitress was great about removing dishes, refills and stopping to check on us. It's easier when all your tables are close together. Overall the food was excellent. Fresh seafood in Fort Wayne isn't common place. The food creations were delicious & creative without being all that unique. You will find a fairly broad menu to meet most dinner's choices. Here is a run down on the items we ordered: -Calm Chowder: very creamy without being overly rich to taste; moderately thick in consistency with a mild clam flavor; several larger pieces of clam meat; very good taste -Oysters on the half shell: beautiful presentation; oysters were fresh taste; no salty or "sea" tastes/smells; a small dab of sweet cocktail sauce and ground horseradish were nice add; oysters were outstanding!! -Fried Hushpuppies: no corn meal breading here. The outside was lightly fried and slightly oily to taste. The inside was slightly sweet, soft and moist. The chipotle aioli sauce has a very mild southwestern flavor that accented the sweet breading. -Crab Cakes: two fairly large cakes packed with real crab meat; gently fried; the fresh seafood flavors come through nicely; another very good dish! -Seafood Au Gratin: plenty of chunks of scallops and crab buried in a delicious lobster cream sauce and layer of mozzarella cheese. The sauce was creamy and mild without being rich. The seafood pieces retained their original flavor. The cheese topping was nice and gooey which held the seafood & sauce together nicely. Delicious dish!! -Diver Scallops: large and plump scallops cooked perfectly; very tender and moist without a "fishy" taste - nicely done!! I very much enjoyed the dinning experience. I love restaurants that retain and feature an older buildings character. I appreciate high levels of service and outstandingly delicious food. Especially when it comes to fresh seafood!!

Unfortunately, the larger dining room on the other side is the complete opposite--sterile, plain, and uninspired. It could really benefit from a decorator who could bring it in line with the vibe of the bar and outdoor areas. 17 West positions itself as the nicest (and essentially only upscale) restaurant in the New Bremen area, but it falls short of that goal. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Salad sandwich with mashed potatoes. What arrived was a croissant that looked like it came straight from the IGA bakery, topped with a single sad leaf of lettuce and a thin, pale tomato slice. The chicken salad was scooped with what appeared to be an ice cream scoop and simply plopped onto the bread. The result was a bland sandwich with almost no spice or flavor. The mashed potatoes were presented the same way--scooped and unappealing. Overall, the presentation was cafeteria-level at best, and I've had better sandwiches in hospital cafeterias. My wife ordered the Firecracker Chicken. Her side salad was tiny and unremarkable, and while the chicken leg itself tasted decent, it was still just a sauced chicken leg. At $22, it felt significantly overpriced. 17 West likely wouldn't survive in a larger city with real competition. In the New Bremen area, however, it benefits from having very little rivalry, which allows it to stay in business despite the clear mismatch between its prices and the quality and presentation of the food.
