I don't often repeat reviews unless something is very different since the previous review(s). This is one of those times. We had an art show to attend in Sidney and stopped here for dinner afterwards. It's a beautiful restaurant in downtown Sidney. I started with a cup of clam chowder. Salty and creamy, it was very good. Next I had the Ahi Tuna dinner. The tuna was a bit overcooked but still delicious (and also salty). But the veggies were way overcooked, mushy and served cold. Yuk. The rice was also way overcooked and a mush pile, yuk as well. My SO had the Ahi tuna appetizer as her meal and the Greek salad. The tuna was coated both sides with a thick layer of wasabi and completely overpowered. She tried to scrape it off. The salad was ok but lacking any feta (again, a Greek salad). Service was painfully slow even though it was not busy. (3/4 of the tables were open.) Given that, the bill was over $100, I would certainly expect more for that price. We randomly ended up in Sydney on a Monday evening. After looking through Yelp, we decided to give The Bridge a try. We lucked out and it was happy hour. Their martinis were half price (I think!). We both had a dirty martini with blue cheese olives! The starters were half price too. We ordered the tuna which was really good. It was served with wasabi. For dinner we both ordered the special, a 10 oz New York Strip. We split a wedge salad. The bread and garlic butter were wonderful! I could have feasted just on that! Our server, Madison was very helpful and thoughtful. We were really glad that we could pay our check right from the table using the QR code. We would definitely go back! read more

The food was OK. I've had better at Bob Evan's. I felt like there was too much hype for what it was. I had the beef stroganoff and it was subpar at best. The noodles were from a box or bag and way overdone. I've had better from Hamburger Helper. : ( read more

The 10 oz seared rare Ahi Tuna was fried well done and hard as a brick. The server saw that it crumbled into dry chunks as I tried to cut it with a knife. He said nothing. I was embarrassed because I recommended the Bridge. The vegetables were cold. The service was friendly but very slow. We were seated by the door to the patio; the door with the broken closer. It slammed shut over 100 times while as we tried to enjoy the conversation and the evening. Being seated facing the front window the light was too bright and the contrast made it very difficult to see the faces of the company that we were with. Turning the table 90 degrees would solve the problem. read more

Best place around north of Dayton. Steaks and seafood compare to any big city 5 star restaurant. Best Happy Hour with great prices, food and drinks. Largest Bourbon Selection with over 100 Bourbons. Amazing Service, with every visit making you feel like family instead of a customer. Always a great experience, especially great when they have live music on the weekends and for special events. The owner will stop by to say hello and that always makes us feel even better. The ambiance of the entire place is from the owners vision, and his skills are amazing and he really knows how to make you feel right at home. Since the new owner took over, the place is fantastic EVERY time I visit no matter WHAT I chose on the menue it is fabulous. Good food, great music, very clean and worth every penny. Friendly staff and I like the way the owner always makes an appearance and he is a real joy! The restaurant belongs in the Short North in Columbus, but I understand the building itself has a lot of history concerning the building of the Big Four Bridge. The bartender was excellent. She turned a nightmare of a situation into a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but could have left a bad taste if it was not for the her handling of the whole restaurant. What an epic Valentine's Day failure. At the time of making reservations, we were not told that they had a limited menu. Our evening started with spinach artichoke dip served with potato chips, not the French baguette per their menu, followed by salad where we requested no onions, but yet the salad reeked with the smell of onions. Our main entrée the Italian fest came out at best, tepid and missing marinara on the pile of cold spaghetti. What a great way to drop more than $100. read more

Sidney Ohio is not a restaurant mecca. Fortunately my girlfriend is a retired local teacher from the area. She introduced me to this gem. This restaurant could easily blend in Dayton, Columbus or Cincinnati. Drinks are excellent and food is quality and premier. read more

The food was good, but not excellent considering the price. The 4 of us are and with tip was about $225. Only one person had a couple beers. We also got free dessert for a birthday and anniversary celebration. I had a burger which was a good portion but no flavor. One person with us had surf and turf and she said the shrimp tasted odd. The other two enjoyed their food. The service was good and friendly. The restaurant is very pretty. I made reservations asking for a booth. We were seated at a table instead. They didn't follow my request, but the table was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend the restaurant but being a big fat wallet. read more

Stopped in Friday evening around 5:30pm to find the place nearly at capacity with just 2 seats left. Very nicely decorated for the winter. I was seated immediately and decided to order from their downtown restaurant special. I ordered the artichoke dip with crunchy chips, house Caesar salad, 8oz sirloin (medium) and carrot cake. Total bill was $25 plus 20% tip. Great deal. The artichoke dip was about a 5 out of 10. I've had this many times and previously it was a 10. Caesar salad was cold, crisp and refreshing 10. Sirloin steak was perfectly grilled to med. However it was the worst steak I ever had. It had a texture as if I was trying to eat a sponge. The exterior was so tough I could not stick my fork into it! Even with the weighted steak knife I felt like I was cutting through a piece of wood with a saw. I finally cut it in half, side to side, to see if I could find which way the grain went. I'm not really certain what to say. It seemed to be more sponge like. Also it had no flavor. Salt and a little of the herbed butter (excellent) that came with the bread made it bearable. I'd give this steak a 2 only because it was perfectly grilled to temp. The meal came with mashed potatoes and veggies. I dislike gelatinous type potatoes. HOWEVER, these were very tasty. Ended up with a slightly sweet taste to them. So that canceled the density of the potatoes. Now...the carrot cake. OMG. Somebody did that right. Moist without oozing oil. The icing was so smooth and delicate. I was amazing. If you want a good steak go to Aldi's by their Ribeye, and pan cook it while basting with butter. I didn't say anything about the steak because I was short on time. I was asked if it was cooked to temp. but never asked how it was. read more

Let me start by saying the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We have visited the Bridge in the past for the Christmas Eve buffet and it was very good. This year not so much. To save a lot of words, here is a list of what management should consider for future years. 1. I have no problems with a 20% tip, but let people know about it first. 2. If you are going to offer the buffet, have the proper staffing. They had no one to welcome you and match your name with the reservation. We were a good 20 minutes late getting seated and no one communicated anything to us. The young gentleman who was sort of acting as the host was also responsible for bussing tables. 3. The buffet was lacking choices in the salad dept. No relishes, crackers, or other salads other than 2 types of tossed salad (different lettuces). 4. If you advertise a prime rib buffet, have someone to serve it. The prime rib was in a buffet pan already cut and hard to plate. It was also not very hot but that was part for the course as the mashed potatoes and other entrees were cold. 5. The buffet was too meat heavy with not enough vegetables. Canned corn was not a good choice. 6. Desserts were weak. Mostly cookies with a few pieces of cheesecake (no toppings) 7. Had to request bread with the buffet. And then only received 2 pieces (one roll and one piece of ...... garlic bread?) 8. Some type of drink other than water should be included with a $35 per person buffet. I really feel this buffet was not nearly up to the standard of previous years. read more

Hands down the bridge is the nicest restaurant in Sidney (surrounding areas) the ambience is high class, the decor is updated yet gives that old restored feeling. The old style bar is awesome and is very unique. Service is quick, friendly, and very professional. The menu is loaded with deliciousness. Because I've been dieting (not a yelpers dream scenario) I opted for the Caesar salad with a side of steamed broccoli. Holy mother of god is the Caesar dressing the best I've ever had. I order an extra side order and it's amazing. Thick, creamy, bursting with that Caesar tangy flavor. Spot on bridge, spot on! I had high expressions going in because of what my family and friends said about it. It's great, just great. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food your receiving. My husband and I went to The Bridge for the first time for our anniversary. The food was good - not great - and the service was very good, but for the two of us, we dropped almost $200! For 2 meals, even with a few drinks is outrageous. We didn't get to see too much of the restaurant, but what we did see was very pretty. Not sure we'll go back any time soon, but it was a nice experience. read more

I was told that wood plank cooked steak is what they were known for, so I had the 4 oz. fillet mignon. It was delicious. I added steamed broccoli which was great. Green beans were not so great. House salad with home made dressing was delicious. The bourbon selection is FANTASTIC here. read more

This is generally one of my favorite restaurants when traveling in the area. Unfortunately it did not live up to my past times. I get that menus are limited but two of their best appetizers (Ahi Tuna and Million Dollar Bacon) we're not available. Extremely disappointing. The calamari was adequate to good but it had more lettuce than calamari. The ribeye was excellent. Ordered it medium rare and it came out closer to medium but it was flavorful, juicy and all around excellent. However the most disappointing experience was with a $40 steak and you ordered green beans you would expect FRESH green beans and not canned. WOW...that was a HUGE miss. How does that make it to the plate of a higher end restaurant this isn't Applebee's. Wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and paces the evening well. PS the chocolate layered cake is a MUST! read more

Used to be one of our go-to dinner spots with an extensive and original menu. Decent selection of craft brews and friendly and efficient staff. Now the menu is short, moderately expensive. Food is plain, only one or two crafts brews on tap and service is SLOW. We showed early for our last dinner (5pm) and they were already out of crab cakes and it took 45 min for our dinner to arrive after ordering. It's unfortunate as the Bridge was a hidden gem in Sidney a couple years ago. Save yourself the disappointment and go to 17 West in New Bremen. read more

The Bridge has a diverse menu and a friendly waitstaff. It's in a lovely spot in downtown Sidney where one might not expect a restaurant of this caliber. We can talk about so much about the architecture, history and what not. People who served were super nice. Nice location snuggled in Downtown Sidney. Yesterday, I enjoyed the spicy shrimp which has a very nicely seasoned breeding and the Ahi Tuna which was AMAZING! For my main course, I enjoyed the "Bridge" burger which can easy feed 2 or more people. Although next time I'll order it with my bacon fried hard, It was delicious also! Today, we stopped for lunch before getting on the road to head back to Detroit. I'll be trying the crab cakes. read more

This is Christmas Eve and we ate at the Bridge in Sidney Ohio. When I made the reservation I was not informed it was a buffet. This was a problem because we had someone with us that was slightly handicapped and if I had known it was a buffet I would not have chosen The Bridge as our night out for Christmas Eve. The food was mediocre at best the salmon was very dry and the beef seemed a bit tasteless. The service was awful. This mediocre meal was priced at $40.00 each and they added the tip which I felt for the service was exorbitant. I am a former resident of Sidney and I expected much more from this type of restaurant. To be sure my friends will know how dissatisfied I was with my experience. read more
