Looked on the internet to find a sushi joint but also somewhere that offers tradition meals. Come to find out sushi is only offered twice a week, which was not stated on their website. My son was highly disappointed. He decided to order the Alaskan crab leg meal and $60 later he was served two crab legs. Needless to say my teenage son had to fill up on bread to get full. The patio was nice but very noisy with traffic. Couple speakers on the patio would have been nice to drown out the traffic and random kids walking by. The bill was $230 (including the tip) for a family of 4. For that price I would have expected the food to be better or at least a decent portion size. read more

My work brings me to Sidney and I came here for dinner with my colleague after 14 hour day. The restaurant is charming, in the downtown strip of Sidney (across from the local theater with their own Sidney lighted sign, too cute). I think they are low in staff, our main course took some time and we waited a while to cash out. When you have waited tables before you just can't be rude to wait staff so I was patient ... Just happened to be going to Sidney around lunch time and so looked for a good place to eat. The reviews looked decent so we tried The Bridge. It was somewhat of a disappointment. Between the two of us, we had the onion soup (good, fairly typical cheesy French onion style), the beef vegetable soup (way too salty with what seemed like frozen or canned vegetables--certainly not fresh veggies), Caesar salad (rather plain with not much dressing), and a spicy chicken sandwich (over-cooked, dry, and without much flavor except for the heat which seemed much like a fast food version of a spicy chicken sandwich). The service was adequate except the server kept telling us she would be "right back" with various items and then would come by after a while and realize she hadn't brought what she said. A bit spacey throughout. All in all, the experience was nothing that would recommend a return trip. Too bad. It's a nice space and menu that seemed to have some promise, but just wasn't a good experience for us. read more

My two brother's and I (groomsmen) enter the party room for dinner. Everyone gets seated before us. There are seven tables, six of which are set with napkins, silverware, etc. Us three were stuck sitting at the seventh table because all other tables were filled up with other family and friends. Now let's get to the GOOD STUFF. This table we sat at only had one place setting when there was six chairs. So our two servers, a male and a female brought out salads. The female treated us great, but the male server was a different story. After giving us our salad, he told us we have to get some salad dressing from a different table instead of bringing more to ours. He then had the audacity to make a remark about how we sat at the "difficult" table without the place settings and ROLLED HIS EYES as he walked away. Why would they have a table set up with only one place setting and act like we were wrong for sitting at the table? How should we have known to not sit their? Very good food, generally served well, and at lunch the prices are very fair. It is (as you would expect) more expensive at night. I love the crab cakes and the pecan crusted chicken -- these are my "go-to" items when I visit The Bridge. read more

Went there for Valentines Dinner. Made a reservation a week in advance. Arrived 5 minutes early and promptly seated at 7.30. First saw our waitress at 7.55, ordered 2 drinks that took 15 minutes to arrive. ordered dinner since alarm bells were going off about slow service. Salads arrived at 8.25. Waitress noted my water glass was empty and said she would be right back with more water. That was the last we saw of her. By 8.55 we called the hostess over and asked for the check. In a word...amazing. My husband and I visited The Bridge after a tip from an antique shop owner in Downtown Sidney, and waited three hours for them to open for dinner service, as it was a Saturday, and they're not open for lunch. It was well worth the wait. The server was polite and friendly, and the food delicious. We each had their french onion soup as appetizer, and the chicken carbonara, served with a salad and french bread with a compound butter mixture as our entree. YUMMY!!! The chicken carbonara portion was so big, neither of us could finish it - we will definitely split something next time. The restaurant is extremely nice with low lighting, real tablecloths and napkins, etc....but don't be too concerned about being under-dressed. We wore our t-shirts and shorts since we came straight from the park, and we were just fine - there is no dress code per se. I highly recommend checking out The Bridge if you're in or around Sidney. We have visited the area three times now, and will definitely add The Bridge to our future visits. read more

Looking for a spot for lunch near Sidney, Great Find! Will be back. Had the lunch special - prime rib sandwich, that comes with homemade chips and my husband had the pork tenderloin sandwich which includes homemade chips as well. We also ordered French onion soup. French onion soup could have been hotter, but temperature just make it to be OK. Will ask next time to make the soup temperature hot prior to baking with cheese which happens not to be the standard Swiss - YUM. Have to say the food was right on. Prime rib nice and tender, the pork tenderloin was thick and done nicely as well (not the standard of paper thin and deep fried pork). Could have shared either sandwich, then room for dessert! Husband had Kentucky bourbon beer, I believe, which he could just go back for that. read more

The worst part about it, though, is that when we raised our concern with the owner, the response was one of defensiveness and making us wrong for raising the issue. There was no apology. After a very long week of work in the area (I live on the East Coast and came here on a recommendation from a colleague) this was the best choice I could make in the area. The Chardonnay was perfectly chilled as was the Wedge salad; crisp and the perfect size. I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Florentine with Angel Hair pasta was cooked PERFECTLY! Great Service, very nice place, good atmosphere. Food was good but not excellent so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I ordered the shrimp and scallop florentine. The scallops were a little rubbery I'm not sure I would order again. I asked for a side of marinara sauce for the buttered spaghetti and the marinara suave was great. My wife's pecan chicken tasted great. It came with sweet potato soufflé which she thought was a bit heavy. Overall it was a good meal and a welcome stop from the highway. My company does a lot of business lunches/dinners here. The atmosphere reminds me of a cigar lounge - dimly lit (even during the day) with dark wood tables and walls. The service is great and friendly. The food is pretty average and slightly overpriced. Definitely not going to to knock your socks off but you will be satisfied. read more

The staff is always friendly and the food is very good, might I add there is nothing in comparison in sidney.The entertainment is a excellent, we really enjoy listening to Rick Frazier. Atmosphere at The Bridge is nice and servers are very friendly and helpful with the menu. Ahi tuna and shrimp cocktail were enjoyable - especially the cocktail sauce it is a specialty I highly recommend. Turkey sandwich was good and the fried chips are addictive - you will eat them all. Only one downside was slow food service. In the evening a slow meal is enjoyable but at lunch it's nice to keep it moving a little. I would recommend the Bridge to anyone. read more

I can't tell you much about the food, service or decor, because the restaurant canceled my reservation without telling me. Thirteen family members from across Ohio met there only to find out the restaurant was closed when we arrived - despite the fact they'd taken my reservation a month earlier. Someone polite and helpful who was cleaning the restaurant answered the phone and told me he could see my reservation had been canceled. NO ONE told me! The cleaner gave my contact information to the owner who did not even call me to apologize. Needless to say, thirteen people are very disappointed. read more

Let me begin by saying the food was excellent. The service might have been the worst I have ever experienced. We travel the world and frequent New Orleans and Los Angeles quite often. Our party of six really did not expect the ultimate dining experience, but it took over thirty minutes before our beverages were served. Normally orders are taken at this point, but our server disappears for another fifteen plus minutes before taking our orders. The lady appeared overwhelmed and was about as friendly as a case of the mumps. I spoke to the owner and he told me it had been thirty-seven minutes since our food was ordered. When the waitress turned in our order is not known ands the owner would not share the ticket time when I asked to see it. What does that tell you? The owner told me he was doing quite well over the past several months. Maybe he has done ok, but with the service we received I will assure him he will not do well in the future. The Bridge will not be on our list of places to frequent. Terrible terrible service and the owner is not concerned. First, I'll say that the food was okay. But it was certainly overpriced. A 7 ounce filet with a salad and one side for $37 is over the top in Sidney. That said, the steak was well cooked. The real issue arose when I looked online and reviewed the menu before arrival. What I didn't realize was that the menu posted online dated back to 2011. The prices are 25 to 30% off across the board. In passing, I asked the bartender if she'd ever looked at the website? She immediately & proactively acknowledged that the menu is totally wrong online. This fact clued me in that they are aware but choose not to act. In principle, I have a real problem with this practice. I'm on an expense account and probably would have eaten here if they HAD advertise the correct prices. But to not update your website feels dishonest. read more

Totally over priced for the quality of food you receive. I ordered a half order of scallops for $7 which ended up being only 2, served with a warm dill type sauce that was flavorless. For an entrée I got the 7oz steak with mushrooms for $31 with a side of "parmesan broccoli". I thought it would be a nice serving of roasted broccoli but was given a portion of mushy steamed flavorless broccoli. In review all of the food was flavorless and overpriced.
