The pour over was fantastic. The peach flavor was palpable and the barista did a great job brewing which can be difficult so props to her! It was priced at $5.50 which is relatively cheap for pour over in my opinion. Absolutely delicious! The Mediterranean toast was not my favorite. It was very sweet which I wasn't really expecting. I felt that the sweetness overpowered the lighter flavors of the other parts of the toast. I also wish the bread was more fluffy in texture. I think this toast just wasn't my cup of tea and I will need to try their other food items to form a better opinion of the food here.

When we walked in there was one (very hard working) lady that was waiting tables, cooking, bussing and cleaning the restaurant. Regardless of all that she had on her plate (hah, see what I did there ;) ) she was very attentive to us and got us drinks and menus shortly after we sat down. We let her know what we were in a rush and would order shortly. She came over, took our order and off to cook it she went. We waited only about 10-15 minutes and our food was out! Now.. the only reason this place is getting a 4/5 is because it is such cheaply priced food but the quality is what you pay for. That usually means choosing a fast food chain location. These chains serve their purpose but aren't much fun. This place popped up on Yelp and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is a short drive off the highway into downtown Sidney, taking about 4 or 5 minutes to get there from Exit 92. It was located in a retro building on the main intersection in town cross corner from the County Courthouse. Approaching from the West on Court St., it looked a little divey. It looks more pleasantly vintage from the Ohio St. side, which is actually its storefront. Our visit to this place prompted me to do some quick research. The Spot has been in business for over 100 years, opening in 1907. A fire destroyed the original building in 1940 and according to the local paper, "the current Art Moderne-style building was completed in 1941 and still features its original white porcelain tile, mid-century neon sign and iconic diner layout." It truly has a retro feel inside, going more or less for a 1950s aura where you would not be surprised to see Richie Cunningham sitting at a booth drinking a malt. Although the jukebox is digital, the upgrades enacted by the new owners who took over last year generally seem to be spot on. While it looks retro, the infrastructure is in nice shape with a clean, tidy appearance. It's a pleasant place for a meal. The format is walk-up-and-order. The girl working the counter was polite and efficient. To be fair in context, however, we walked in around 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night an hour-and-a-quarter before closing. It was not at all busy when we entered with one party there finishing their meal and only two others who walked in before we left. Hence, efficiency would be expected with no other customers to be served, but I'll still note the good work. The food was up quickly without any issues. We sat in 1950s comfort to enjoy our meal. I had the Turkey Club. It was quite good. I ordered mine with Onion Rings as my wife wanted to split these with me. She had the Swiss Lad sandwich, which she said was also very tasty. We split an Iced Tea which was likewise quite good. With everything, we spent $25.48 for dinner. At less than $13 per person, I was happy with that value. We'll certainly look for this place again when we are passing through Sidney.

Today's breakfast has redeemed this old favorite for us. Our sever, Marcia, was pleasant, efficient, and thoughtful. The food came quickly, was hot, and tasted good (though the breakfast potatoes were under-seasoned, and I would far prefer real butter to the "buttery spread" that came with my biscuits). We were happy to find they still make the giant muffins we used to love and we bought a couple to bring home. Based on this experience, we will be back soon!

We waited for about 5 minutes before Leslie came to seat us. We asked for a booth. This must be a very unusual request as she sighed exasperated... As they were all approaching the dirty booth, Miranda stated that she "hasn't had time to clean as I keep getting sat." Leslie didn't like that quick remark and shot back with "Well, they wanted a booth so..." As Leslie cleared the table and sat the couple she took their drink order.
