The Ornery Couple is at it again...(I'm referring to my husband and I) I came to Frisch's and brought my husband for the first time, as he is not originally from here. We walked through the lot full of cars (always a good sign right?) We walked through the doors and smelled the enticing aroma of fresh cooked burgers and fries. Yum! We waited for about 5 minutes before Leslie came to seat us. We asked for a booth. This must be a very unusual request as she sighed exasperated... Leslie told the couple that it would be a few minutes. No problem at all. When Leslie came back for the pair, she walked them briskly towards the back. As they were all approaching the dirty booth, Miranda stated that she "hasn't had time to clean as I keep getting sat." Leslie didn't like that quick remark and shot back with "Well, they wanted a booth so..." As Leslie cleared the table and sat the couple she took their drink order. Now, Miranda never introduced herself but she was nice enough. We were very pleasantly surprised when she comped our hot fudge sunday. Final thoughts: The Bigboy and fries were delicious. Buffet was mostly empty and dried out and we were there when first opened.Decided to stay and order from menu. waitress was involved with a person who was just in the restaurant hanging out asking alot of questions making us feel very uncomfortable while dining in . I've been visiting Frisch's restaurants for over 60 years but this is probably my last visit. To many recipes of familiar favorites or just familiar foods and flavors have changed. It's no longer the" I can count on the consistency" restaurant I've known my whole life. Even the subtle changes like the ranch dressing on the salad bar (which was always one of my favorite reasons to visit the salad bar) And another one, Some people might just consider a side dish but it's always been one of my favorites is the coleslaw. Other things just don't taste the same either. So sadly this is it for me, Just not the flavor so I've always known and could count on to be the same over and over and over again. read more

Have been to this location only twice, through the drive-thru both times. The first time was so expensive and took so long my wife and didn't go back for another year before trying again. Just tried it again, and unfortunately no improvement. As someone who works in the food industry, I could tell business was slow. Spent $30 on two burgers and fries, and had to wait 14 minutes in their parking lot for them to finally come out with the wrong order. Disorganized and left being dissatisfied. Waited over 40 minutes for our food, customers came in over 30 minutes after us and was getting their food. Our food arrived cold. I ordered pancakes and got French toast and the French toast was terrible but least the service was good.

Hot mess! I can't say much more than that. I haven't been to a Frisch's since I was a kid and I doubt there will be a return visit. I will say we came at a rough time, lent in the Midwest, and there is a seafood bar here. However, this place is run by the inmates! No direction, people moving but not accomplishing anything. Maybe we will return in a couple of months. Probably not. read more

I've been to many Frisch's over the years but always expected to have an 'average' type experience. Not so much at the Frisch's here in Sidney! Wow... my friends and family were so happy with our overall experience. Quick summary... Our kid's volleyball team was in town for a tourney. We all went to eat out afterwards and ended up here. Poor Shaun (the manager)....He say 30+ people coming in and I thought he would tell us what B-dubs told us. Basically, 'go away'. Not Shaun! Had all of our seating figured quickly, explained the ordering process, divided us out amongst his wait staff, and Bam!...we were off to the races. Food was great! Service was great! We are sad that your quality that has always been is no longer. You must be buying from other vendors now because of COVID. Hopefully your quality will soon return. Example: the cheeseburger I ordered was more like a scab on a bun with the slice of cheese being as thick as the patty. Lots of variety. peppers, the often forgotten mushrooms, red onions, eggs, sesame sticks, cranberries, sunflower seeds + a canned and fresh fruit bar. Veg soup was too salty. New location and we made the mistake of trying it on a Sunday after church. Super busy, lined up out the door. Ok, we tried the drive-thru. Only one care ahead, cool. We ordered multi of the same, 6 big boy combo's. I had eye on the super big boy but at nearly $8 bucks I thought that was a bit pricey for a to go. We settled on the thinner patty but it was good and tasty, oh ya and warm. Being that busy inside, nothing was sitting around long anyway. The fries in a cup, could of been filled more, only 3/4, or downsize the cup. Eye's eat first. I'm not a drive thru guy but they did a great job. Fast, polite, I had to change a drink at the window, the lady delt with it cool, a manager helping her along, good team work. I was pleased. Didn't give the fifth star due to using the drive thru. On 11/29/21 my husband and I stopped at the Sidney Frisch's Big Boy for dinner. We were seated and waited for 20 to 30 minutes to waited on and we were there before rush hour and no one seemed to come and serve us. The waitress who seated us was helping other customers who came in after us with orders but never came back to ask us for our order of food or drinks. After the waiting for that amount of time we decided that it was not worth waiting for someone to serve us so we got up and left. We were very disappointed with the service since we have been going there for years. read more

The highlight of this meal was the hot fudge ice cream cake and it was great! Just the way I remember it from my teenage years! We can't say that about many things but this treat has stood the test of time and many bellies like mine! Anyone for a sock hop now? The Big Boy wasn't nearly as big or as tasty as I remember. Ugh! Poorly staffed... with the exception of one nice young lady that stated she had just broke her thumb and was waiting on someone to come so she could get it checked, the staff was not pleasant or helpful. The breakfast buffet was not kept stocked, I had to ask if pancakes and French toast would be put back out as there was one sad looking pancake and 2 pieces of French toast that were hard as a rock. Was the first time eating the breakfast buffet there and while it had a great variation of things, the things I wanted to try we're just not stock very well. read more

When I eat inside, the food is great. However the drive thru is a different story. I'm typically met with laziness and an attitude.
