Allie cheesecake - yum!
Steve S.

It was my wife's birthday and she wanted to try this restaurant - I'm so glad we did! The prices reflect the high quality of the food and the creative way it's prepared. Expect that. It's a new building (restaurant and hotel) that is very tastefully thought out. They have an extensive drink menu that includes wine, beer, liquors and cocktails. I was DD so I couldn't imbibe but my wife enjoyed the wine and a port with dessert. We started with the bread selection and the Sycamore Bridge salad. The breads were fresh and delicious, they came with butter topped with black Hawaiian salt. Nice! The salad was large and we shared it. Great leafy greens, pumpkin, cheese, coated nuts and a great vinaigrette lightly coating it. Again, Nice! Next, we both ordered scallops. Large scallops heavenly seared but cooked inside perfectly, they were delicious. They came with crispy small crushed potatoes and a small legume I'm not familiar with. I loved it all! My wife ordered apple cheesecake and it was also very well done! Delicious! What's not to like here? As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

Mushrooms/anchovy mayo
Mykael C.

The mushrooms were fried perfectly so that you have a nice crunch when you bite then go right into the meaty texture. The Anchovy aioli hit. The burger had a lot going on, but didn't lack in any layer. Milk bun was perfect to hold it all together. And Dessert sent up to the room was a great life choice. Had my appetizer/meal at the bar with a big ass wall full of all their selections. Very Dope.

One of our newest favorite date night/special event places!! The space is absolutely GORGEOUS, the service is superb, and the food is super creative, beautifully presented, & delicious. Silas is one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to experience. It is the total package! My husband and I have just returned from another date night this evening, and our experience was once again absolute perfection, from the ambience to the service to the quality of the food & drinks. If you love fine dining, Silas Creative Kitchen is the place for you. I love how the menu changes with the seasonal availability of the menu items. I love that they always have specials that are not on the regular menu. Tonight we got the fire roasted vegetables with hummus and house made naan, and it was one of the best things we've had there. A little more about our previous Silas experiences...We had already been there a few times for lunch before we booked for Mother's Day brunch. I usually avoid going out on Mother's Day because it's just crazy busy & every place is so overrun that the quality of the food & service suffers. NOT HERE! Lured in by their description of the buffet options, I asked my husband to book us a table for the Mother's Day experience. We went with our youngest two children, both of whom are in their late teens. They got to have very pretty specialty drinks without alcohol, and they felt so grown up! :D The server went out of her way to make us feel pampered & special. The food was all beautifully arranged and delicious. There was a nice variety, too. Best of all, because they hadn't overbooked, even though the place was relatively full we didn't feel like cattle at a feed trough & we weren't running in to people. Each table had a vase of fresh cut flowers. My meal came with a complimentary cocktail, cut flower & other nice little gifts. I was really impressed with how lovely everything was! The staff & management is obviously top notch because this special event brunch was a fantastic experience, so well organized on every detail. Highly recommend!!!

Stopped in for a meal after a job in town. I asked our server Adriana what was good and she was very helpful and suggested her favorite along with a good seller. Our food came out hot and tasty. Everything was delightful. The restaurant is very nice inside and stands apart from most. I look forward to coming back to try dinner. Thanks again Adriana.

Love the high quality farm to table experience. The service is top notch and the menu is constantly changing. It is a gem in the small town of Versailles! Our experiences have ranged from drinks at the bar, to breakfast, lunch and dinner, to the phenomenal buffets on special occasions. The private dining space is also unique for a party of 8 to 12 people.

Its sleek lines and modern structure stand out among the modest buildings that surround it. Every inch of its interior and exterior are detailed in lavish sophistication. We stayed in the Spa Suite- a beautiful, spacious room with a deep soaking tub perfect for relaxing. Snacks, drinks and card games are within easy reach, tempting you from their station on the oversized desk (for a charge, of course). We skipped slipping into our robes and ordering room service and went down to the hotel bar instead. The bar offers a number of handcrafted cocktails, I was so conflicted about which to order that I told the bartender I would just go down the list- and she happily obliged. Dinner hadn't quite started yet so we ordered food from a limited lunch menu and made friends with the bar patrons. After all, it's still a small town and everyone around is incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, due to my overly enthusiastic cocktail buffet, I didn't make it to dinner. Luckily, I had a gorgeous room to stumble back to, and when I woke up, the minibar snacks and drinks truly saved my night. I absolutely think you get great value for the price of a stay here. You get the sophistication of a luxury hotel without the steep price and pretentiousness that you'd find at a similar hotel in a bigger city. I can't wait to return!

I was asking the people I work with there where are some good places to eat for lunch.I believe The Side Rail came out of nearly everyone's mouths.I arrived at the restaurant for a late lunch probably around 4:30 and the place was not too busy but had its share of patrons. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door with a hello and a smile.I chose to sit at the bar beings I was alone. The decor was very neat with a mix of local and railroad themed decorations. The alcoholic drinks included a large collection of various unique and flavorful drinks and cocktails. I enjoy a good hard cider but the one they had listed on tap had a strawberry flavoring. I mentioned my fondness of ciders but my lack of enjoying strawberry flavored drinks to the waitress/bartender and she immediately offered a sample. I was quite surprised how good it actually was.The menu definitely has a large selection of unique food and combinations especially burgers. I started with an appetizer of garlic cheeses curds. They came out quickly and were fresh, hot, and crispy just how I like them. The garlic flavor with the cheese curds was a great change from the normal cheese curds I'm used to with them even being in cubes.I had to try the burger with Peanut Butter and Jelly, the loaded fries, and Mac and cheese.I was really second guessing that ordering that choice was a good one but boy was I surprised. The burger was cooked perfectly.I will never understand how a burger with cheese, peanut butter,a fruit jam sauce, and even a egg actually not only worked together but was delicious. The loaded fries were crispy, cheesy, and the jalapeños were flavorful but not too hot.The Mac and cheese was also very delicious and very creamy.I will definitely be returning to try some of the other unique sandwiches and cocktails. The only regret I had was forgetting my leftovers in my truck when I got back to my hotel.

They were in the fryer so long they were practically charred. The cole slaw seemed almost puréed. My wife ordered grilled chicken tenders. They came out fried and overly cooked. She thought at first bite that they were fish because of the taste. I ordered fish, so it is obvious that everything was fried in the same basket. And the grease/oil has needed to be changed for quite a while. My fish tasted bland and mostly if burnt oil. The fries were over saturated and tasted just like the bland fish. My mother ordered a tenderloin sandwich that also looked burnt to a crisp. Lesson learned here: order NOTHING that goes into a fryer. And apparently order nothing grilled, because it will get fried, too. The wait staff was brand new and was having some trouble figuring out our order. There didn't seem to be any shadowing or training happening. It took a long time for our main dishes to arrive. We did like the unique decor and overall appearance of the restaurant, but that's about the only thing I can give them credit for.

The menu included appetizers, soup, sandwiches, and several entree options. The restaurant is decorated as if you were in a cabin at the lake. The downside was there were no more than five other parties within the restaurant, and it still took over an hour to get our food. Refills were forgotten or not offered, and the food was good but not great. It wasn't what they had initially built their reputation on.
