Came here for a family anniversary party. It was just ok for us food wise. No real flavor and didn't have many vegetarian options for meals. The staff was very friendly though. They were not quick with the food and didn't seem very prepared here for this large group. We would not return but people in our party seemed to like it. read more

After hearing about this menu item from folk that didn't like grits, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this meal tasted. For dessert I had the English Toffee Cheesecake it was tasty. I heard about the truly honorable mission of this restaurant so I knew I couldn't turn down an opportunity to visit. My boyfriend's family is from a nearby town and he was quick to recommend Do Good for a good bite. Being from a big city with a huge array of diverse food options, I was told not to set my expectations too high. However, despite what most would consider not the most innovative menu, the items that they do serve are of good quality. I had the unlimited soup with salad because I wasn't feeling up for anything fried but everyone else at the table got some kind of sandwich or burger with fries and everything looked delicious. The servers were particularly attentive in clarifying about salad dressing and soup choices as we came in as a large party with a reservation and had placed our order ahead of time. I heard the upstairs area was newly remodeled and both floors as well as the exterior appeared to be well-maintained. The bathroom was very clean and parking is relatively easy to find across the street. Definitely a very welcoming place where it's likely that someone will know someone who is related to the someone who is your server. I'd recommend stopping by to support the generous mission of this restaurant if not for the food itself. read more

Very clean. Very different. Menu is great. Hubby was so-so on the meatloaf. Baked chicken and green beans almondine was good. Vegetable beef soup very good. This restaurant appears to be run by a church. Church music, religious pictures and decor. Our tip was given to a needy area family. Like I said ... this place is very different. I was highly impressed with this restaurant - The service was nice and fast, the food was fresh, and the price was better than any place in Dayton. You should try the Po'Boy because it is cooked to perfection and the fries on the side taste great. They had nice desserts, but I didn't feel the need to try any that day. Oh my stars this place is scrumptious! Fresh Whole Foods sourced local items. Always a delicious meal in a great atmosphere and supporting the great commission. You'll not want to miss an opportunity to eat at Do Good. The Caramelized onions and bacon is a delicious appetizer and the soups are amazing. What a hidden gem! Their mission statement really says it all. The food was great and fresh; and with a meat shoppe next door (Winners Meats) it should be! The servers and employees were very friendly, however they were young so the service wasn't fantastic (this is where the fifth star was lost--slow service and missing/forgotten items). The restaurant is beautiful, bright, open and comfortable. We took a patio table outback--they are still working on some things outback but it was still beautiful and a great day for eating outside. I order the Timothy Turtle Triumph, iced with non-fat milk; it was very good. For lunch, I got the special; chicken bacon ranch flatbread and a side salad with blue cheese dressing. My salad was served in a chilled bowl and the greens were very fresh. The flatbread was loaded with toppings and absolutely delicious and toasted perfectly. My friends got the salmon salad and "salmon" salmon entree with green beans and cauli rice. Everyone was happy with their meals. I highly recommend it! ALSO, 100% of the tips go to their "Tip of the Month". I was very curious so I asked a server, they are paid a fixed hourly wage (slightly over minimum wage) and all the tips are donated to a family/cause of the month (see pictures). This is a must go to restaurant even if for no other reason than what it stands for. Add on top absolutely incredible, fresh food and you have a restaurant that everyone should experience at least once. The Do Good is a restaurant and a ministry. It starts when you sit down and you are told that the waitress does not accept tips. There is a new person in need every month. There is a card at your table that explains the situation and any tip goes to the family. You can't help but feel up lifted here. The Prodigal hamburger was like a slice of heaven. Made with beef butchered just down the road you can taste the freshness. And it's topped off with an onion spread that is also an appetizer. And the apple dumplings ... forget about it. Love this place! A friend who lives nearby suggested trying it many months ago. I'm so glad we finally followed up & found it. The food is really great, fresh & very nicely prepared with a good variety of dishes. The place is clean, clean, clean, and the decor is very open & airy. Service staff is friendly & helpful. One of the best things we had was the caramelized onion & bacon dip and also the really good bread basket with two types of flavored butter. YUM! My husband's burger looked great & his fries were superb. I got the chicken salad which was good but also very rich as it was heavy on the mayo, so I couldn't eat much of it before I was feeling very full. They gave enough chicken salad for two sandwiches. My teenager enjoyed the leftovers we brought home. Do Good is way way way out from any main thoroughfares, quite a distance west of I-75 in a tiny little hamlet called Osgood. Closest "large" city would be Sidney. Beautiful scenery to see along the way. We always drive the back roads up to this area because it's so pretty. Had been through Osgood on the way to Moeller Brew Barn (another great foodie find), but didn't realize it was a restaurant until we were told about it. So glad we sought it out. After lunch we stopped in Winner's Meats, a tiny very old-school grocery, meat market & deli. It was like stepping back in time. I wanted to grocery shop there just for the nostalgia! The best thing about Do Good (besides the food) is the fact that they give all tips to a different charity each month, and I think the wait staff is made up of volunteers - and they are so friendly. They also donate meals to service organizations (such as the local fire/ems, etc). The other diners were all very nice. Everyone was looking at everyone else's meals to see what they wanted to try next. We actually shared some of our amazing appetizer with the table next to us. It was just an overall sweet experience. Nice local place with good variety on menu. Ordered the grilled meatloaf. It was very good. Mashed potatoes had sour cream which I can't eat but I'm sure they are tasty. Green beans almandine was just ok and seemed dated. Others enjoyed their meals. Atmosphere is nice but it was a little cold where we were seated. read more

This is a great place with a wonderful mission in addition to wonderful food. Lots of good food including the burgers with onion slaw, Mac and cheese, pork chops, chicken parm, Cana wedding dinner. Service might be a little slow so take time to read and learn about the mission. read more

We tried this for the first time a few days ago and my wife got the fish and I got the chicken and both were very very fresh and very flavorful. I also chose a dessert. The dessert was the blueberry lemon, and it was the perfect combination of tart and sweet with a very fresh homemade crust. I love tart desserts, and this one was for could have been a little more tart, but it was delicious all the same. read more
