What a great coffee shop! We stopped by because we were in Sidney and needed coffee. We both had: Coffee. Latte with mocha flavoring. It hit the spot in one delicious way! Salad with turkey. I had honey mustard dressing and my SO had light Italian. A nice mix of greens, ripe tomatoes, carrots, onion and diced turkey. It was a nice lunch. Nice people, service was quick and friendly. So I'm doing my first yelp review in forever. You gotta check this place out. The interior is great. It had a nice leather chair that didn't hurt my butt. I just had coffee. The hazelnut coffee was probably the best hazelnut coffee I have ever had. The Nicaraguan and house blend were great as well. From observing the other patrons, they were pleased with the food and beverage they got. The attractive lady at the front counter was polite and friendly and I'm sure if I had any questions on menu items she could've handled that well. While in the general Mercer County area for the holidays for my fiancée, we were looking for something a little different from the area. We had heard some people taking about High Grounds and it sounded up our alley. We decided to do breakfast here. The coffee was awesome! I had a hot mocha and my fiancée had some kind of pumpkin spice/vanilla/some other flavor coffee and loved it. I had a breakfast bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon. It was delicious. Everyone was very nice. The interior looks like a cross between a small, home and an antique store. It's very welcoming. Ah-mazing! I came here late Sunday morning to find a plethora of options. Coffee, tea, salads (including a great vegetarian option that isn't just greens and tomatoes), sandwiches, soups, and Deserts (including gluten free). Free wifi! Great service and sweet, caring employees. They also have a drive up window! The selection of coffee drinks is really great and even some seasonal options (e.g. maple spice latte - yum!) The only reason I didn't leave a 5 star is because my husband and I waited at the counter for service and the girl on the other side just kept doing what she was doing and didn't serve us. Tried High Grounds Cafe for a second time, pulled into the drive thru and had one car sitting in front of me at the window. Unlike my first time, this visit was very aggravating. I literally sat there for FIFTEEN minutes waiting. Not sure how long the car in front of me had been there before I pulled in. Unsure what the problem was, as all that finally came out to that van looked like four drinks, no actual food that might have taken preparation time. There were four other cars behind me, so I couldn't back out and leave because of the way they are setup. Finally, when the car ahead of me pulled away, I just drove by as well. They wasted enough of my time already. Seems like they don't know the meaning of the term "hustle" or "quick service". read more

We needed a break from the highway traveling from Florida to Michigan to make arrangements for my mothers funeral, looked on yelp saw 5 stars & headed there. The staff was so friendly & kind, even asked about our trip & where we were from, I believe the gentleman that came out to talk to us was the owner & asked us if we needed anything for our trip, offered water & his condolences. I cannot believe the kindness of complete strangers & this truly made my heart smile! I highly recommend giving them a chance to put some food made with love in your belly! Thank you so much to everyone that was working today... I will definitely be stopping again as I travel frequently, but typically for much better reasons! If i could give this place 0 stars would but unfortunately i have to give one. Today i stopped by to get a latte and two hot chocolates, they employee was feeding a dog whip cream Out if a bowl. When i pulled up behind a car. Waited for a good few minutes and got tired of waiting while she fed this dog, beeped to see whAt was goin on, she rolled her eyes and continued to feed this dog, until the bowl was empty. Then the suv pulled off, i pulled up, she didn't was she her hands or anything took my order because right after this car pulls off. With covid going on thats so unsanitary , the dog literally licked her fingers!!!!!! I place my order and leave my my latte was wrong and my hot chocolates were literally cold. So i came to get this right and the "manager" he was rude. Told me there is two sides to the story, lolol well i showed him the video i took of her feeding thia dog until the bowl was empty, and he "she was waiting in food" no sir she wasnt because as soon as that bowl was empty that suv pulled off, and he still was rude to me and said his she one of his best employees blah blah they dont care that you spend money with them, they dont care how long it takes, and they dont care if your order was wrong or you was treated wrong. Or maybe they just dont care about the people of color and their orders and how they were treated. I knew sindey was a racist town but come on. Yelp would let you upload videos I would and you would be disgusted with this situation too! Don't waste your time or money here it's not worth it. read more

The name implied a coffee shop next to a marijuana dispensary...nope, just a coffee shop in a nice little city. Totally worth the 2 mile trip off I75 for fair trade coffee. The blt and lentil soup hit the spot. The latte was also nice. Everything is very clean. The staff are really nice, sending us home with extra soup(since they were closing). I live 1/2 a mile & 1/2 a minute from the Sidney Winan's, but I go out of my way to drive down 75 to go to High Grounds. Honestly, there's not anything super special on the menu & the service is not always fast, but I think the time & money is 100% worth it because of the CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff memers are always sweet, friendly, & interactive. They'll give you treats for your puppies in the drive-thru & if you go there enough, they remember little details about your preferences. (For instance, I usually get alternative milk, but if I order something with regular milk, they always make sure to check with me first!) Love this place. read more

The ladies at this shop are so sweet. They even have gluten free baked goods available. Cute, cozy interior and lots of options to choose from- my friend and I were very happy. Found this place on Google reviews for best local coffee. Definitely lived up to its bidding. They use hemispheres coffee and it is excellent. My wife and I still buy the coffee for our at home espresso because we live in a different state. The cafe is very nice yet peaceful. The atmosphere is great and the owner and the people working their are genuine and on a mission. It's more then just about coffee but they are there to serve.
