We had a couple breakfast bagel sandwiches, a soda and a coffee. Everything was quick, hot, and very good. We will be back!

While in the general Mercer County area for the holidays for my fiancée, we were looking for something a little different from the area. We had heard some people taking about High Grounds and it sounded up our alley. We decided to do breakfast here. The coffee was awesome! I had a hot mocha and my fiancée had some kind of pumpkin spice/vanilla/some other flavor coffee and loved it. I had a breakfast bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon. It was delicious. Everyone was very nice. The interior looks like a cross between a small, home and an antique store. It's very welcoming. Thank you for the great experience and we'll be back in future years

Ah-mazing! I came here late Sunday morning to find a plethora of options. Coffee, tea, salads (including a great vegetarian option that isn't just greens and tomatoes), sandwiches, soups, and Deserts (including gluten free). Free wifi! Great service and sweet, caring employees. They also have a drive up window! The selection of coffee drinks is really great and even some seasonal options (e.g. maple spice latte - yum!) Lots of space to sit as a group or as an individual working on a laptop. Really a clean and cozy cafe altogether wonderful place!

This place is such a gem. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the coffee was SO good. Everyone was so kind, wore masks and the tables had notes saying they were sanitized. It was a perfect cozy environment to do paperwork!

Nice folks. The person who made my sandwich, came out to make sure to get it right, and then checked on me afterwards. Felt good.

Pretty good place, but it's a little expensive. I live 3 minuets away and I somehow someway don't eat here much. But when I do, it's good.

We really liked this place in downtown Sidney. It was different. On our way down I -75 traveling to…read moreDayton, we were looking for a place that was relatively quick, easily accessible and not too expensive. That usually means choosing a fast food chain location. These chains serve their purpose but aren't much fun. This place popped up on Yelp and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is a short drive off the highway into downtown Sidney, taking about 4 or 5 minutes to get there from Exit 92. It was located in a retro building on the main intersection in town cross corner from the County Courthouse. Approaching from the West on Court St., it looked a little divey. It looks more pleasantly vintage from the Ohio St. side, which is actually its storefront. Our visit to this place prompted me to do some quick research. The Spot has been in business for over 100 years, opening in 1907. A fire destroyed the original building in 1940 and according to the local paper, "the current Art Moderne-style building was completed in 1941 and still features its original white porcelain tile, mid-century neon sign and iconic diner layout." It truly has a retro feel inside, going more or less for a 1950s aura where you would not be surprised to see Richie Cunningham sitting at a booth drinking a malt. Although the jukebox is digital, the upgrades enacted by the new owners who took over last year generally seem to be spot on. While it looks retro, the infrastructure is in nice shape with a clean, tidy appearance. It's a pleasant place for a meal. The format is walk-up-and-order. The girl working the counter was polite and efficient. To be fair in context, however, we walked in around 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night an hour-and-a-quarter before closing. It was not at all busy when we entered with one party there finishing their meal and only two others who walked in before we left. Hence, efficiency would be expected with no other customers to be served, but I'll still note the good work. The food was up quickly without any issues. We sat in 1950s comfort to enjoy our meal. I had the Turkey Club. It was quite good. I ordered mine with Onion Rings as my wife wanted to split these with me. She had the Swiss Lad sandwich, which she said was also very tasty. We split an Iced Tea which was likewise quite good. With everything, we spent $25.48 for dinner. At less than $13 per person, I was happy with that value. We'll certainly look for this place again when we are passing through Sidney.

Loved the sign that said "Table of Champions" I always like it when a restaurant recognizes their customers and appreciates them. We will be back, plan on going up to Sidney again next week.

We walked through the lot full of cars (always a good sign right?) We walked through the doors and smelled the enticing aroma of fresh cooked burgers and fries. Yum! We waited for about 5 minutes before Leslie came to seat us. We asked for a booth. This must be a very unusual request as she sighed exasperated... Leslie told the couple that it would be a few minutes. No problem at all. When Leslie came back for the pair, she walked them briskly towards the back. As they were all approaching the dirty booth, Miranda stated that she "hasn't had time to clean as I keep getting sat." Leslie didn't like that quick remark and shot back with "Well, they wanted a booth so..." As Leslie cleared the table and sat the couple she took their drink order. Now, Miranda never introduced herself but she was nice enough. We were very pleasantly surprised when she comped our hot fudge sunday. Final thoughts: The Bigboy and fries were delicious. The cherry coke was ice cold. The unprofessionalism really took an otherwise good experience and made it bad.
