Mushroom and Onion Chopped Steak

"This was an online order" - curbside, but you have to park near carry out & go get your food since there is no signage for curbside there. The good: the rolls were soft & fluffy, wish they came with butter. The Mushroom and Onion chopped steak was average portion but taste was there, good with the roll and mash potatoes & country "white" gravy. The bad: all my sides came half empty like they ran out of food. The special Mac n cheese tasted like just dried pasta, bland, with no flavor at all. The chicken noodle looked like pasta with no broth when this is supposed to be a soup, the corn had some flavor of butter. This was supposed to be Dinner for 2 = $22.99 which is a good deal if the sides were up to par.

Went 2 weeks ago at about 7:30, not busy at all. Stood at the front to be seated for a few minutes. Finally was lead to a booth, 5 or so more minutes the hostess came over and said my server was in the back talking to the manager and would be out shortly. More time goes by and server finally appears. Ordered a drink and was about to order my dinner but she turned around and went to get my drink. Finally ordered food and waited..... Crispy Wildfire Chicken salad. That's all. When it came out the salad had one grossly overcooked chicken inedible chicken tender cut up on top. Salad was disgusting. Bob Evans quality has gone downhill, or maybe it's just this one. On top of that, the table of 6 women near me had problems with their food as well. Bob Evans Corporate needs to pay this location a visit, at dinner time during the week....oh and their survey on the receipt, a joke. No real way for them to contact you. And yes, I would have spoken to the "manager" on duty but she was part of the problem after I figured out who she was.

Honestly really good service and food the bannana bread was finaminal! Would highly recommended and I just love the decor.

What they advertise

I had ordered their fresh berry hot cakes through DoorDash, never tried them before but the picture made them look very enticing so I was excited to try something that looked so good. A shock, but not a huge shock because I've had problems with this job evans before, I received my pancakes and there was no words for how they looked. It looked like someone got murdered over my pancakes. The picture on the left is what they're supposed to look like as well as a description of what they are. The picture on the right were my pancakes, too much strawberry syrup, no strawberries, no powdered sugar, and no whipped cream. Maybe they thought they could slack on it because it was a DoorDash so the person receiving them (me) couldn't complain in their face about it being wrong.

Slow cooked bacon turkey melt. Notice the burnt bacon

Got the slow roasted turkey melt. But burnt the hell out of my bacon. Need I say more. Basically had to disassemble my sandwich and wait for better cooked bacon. Then I had to put it all Back together today. 1-27-20 asked for a Cobb salad and got a cranberry pecan salad. Must be why they only have two stars

Food is never good. Poor service. Chicken was hard and couldn't eat it. Rolls weren't fresh baked.

This place is definitely a local diner type place. Has wood paneling and old tables. Ambience is that of a Waffle House. When we walked in there was one (very hard working) lady that was waiting tables, cooking, bussing and cleaning the restaurant. Regardless of all that she had on her plate (hah, see what I did there ;) ) she was very attentive to us and got us drinks and menus shortly after we sat down. We let her know what we were in a rush and would order shortly. She came over, took our order and off to cook it she went. We waited only about 10-15 minutes and our food was out! Now.. the only reason this place is getting a 4/5 is because it is such cheaply priced food but the quality is what you pay for. I teetered between a 3 and a 4 but because of the pricing I had to give it a 4. The food was nothing special and tasted decent. The home fries were probably the best. We asked for them to be extra crispy and they came out perfect. If you're looking for a small home town diner with a Waffle House type food that's open at 5:30 am.. this is your spot. We wouldn't come back here if we were looking for high quality breakfast though.

We really liked this place in downtown Sidney. It was different. On our way down I -75 traveling to…read moreDayton, we were looking for a place that was relatively quick, easily accessible and not too expensive. That usually means choosing a fast food chain location. These chains serve their purpose but aren't much fun. This place popped up on Yelp and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is a short drive off the highway into downtown Sidney, taking about 4 or 5 minutes to get there from Exit 92. It was located in a retro building on the main intersection in town cross corner from the County Courthouse. Approaching from the West on Court St., it looked a little divey. It looks more pleasantly vintage from the Ohio St. side, which is actually its storefront. Our visit to this place prompted me to do some quick research. The Spot has been in business for over 100 years, opening in 1907. A fire destroyed the original building in 1940 and according to the local paper, "the current Art Moderne-style building was completed in 1941 and still features its original white porcelain tile, mid-century neon sign and iconic diner layout." It truly has a retro feel inside, going more or less for a 1950s aura where you would not be surprised to see Richie Cunningham sitting at a booth drinking a malt. Although the jukebox is digital, the upgrades enacted by the new owners who took over last year generally seem to be spot on. While it looks retro, the infrastructure is in nice shape with a clean, tidy appearance. It's a pleasant place for a meal. The format is walk-up-and-order. The girl working the counter was polite and efficient. To be fair in context, however, we walked in around 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night an hour-and-a-quarter before closing. It was not at all busy when we entered with one party there finishing their meal and only two others who walked in before we left. Hence, efficiency would be expected with no other customers to be served, but I'll still note the good work. The food was up quickly without any issues. We sat in 1950s comfort to enjoy our meal. I had the Turkey Club. It was quite good. I ordered mine with Onion Rings as my wife wanted to split these with me. She had the Swiss Lad sandwich, which she said was also very tasty. We split an Iced Tea which was likewise quite good. With everything, we spent $25.48 for dinner. At less than $13 per person, I was happy with that value. We'll certainly look for this place again when we are passing through Sidney.

Loved the sign that said "Table of Champions" I always like it when a restaurant recognizes their customers and appreciates them. We will be back, plan on going up to Sidney again next week.

We had an art show to attend in Sidney and stopped here for dinner afterwards. It's a beautiful restaurant in downtown Sidney. I started with a cup of clam chowder. Salty and creamy, it was very good. Next I had the Ahi Tuna dinner. The tuna was a bit overcooked but still delicious (and also salty). But the veggies were way overcooked, mushy and served cold. Yuk. The rice was also way overcooked and a mush pile, yuk as well. My SO had the Ahi tuna appetizer as her meal and the Greek salad. The tuna was coated both sides with a thick layer of wasabi and completely overpowered. She tried to scrape it off. The salad was ok but lacking any feta (again, a Greek salad). Service was painfully slow even though it was not busy. (3/4 of the tables were open.) Given that, the bill was over $100, I would certainly expect more for that price. Sorry, but it will be some time before we return.

Their martinis were half price (I think!). We both had a dirty martini with blue cheese olives! The starters were half price too. We ordered the tuna which was really good. It was served with wasabi. For dinner we both ordered the special, a 10 oz New York Strip. We split a wedge salad. The bread and garlic butter were wonderful! I could have feasted just on that! Our server, Madison was very helpful and thoughtful. We were really glad that we could pay our check right from the table using the QR code. We would definitely go back!
