"This was an online order" - curbside, but you have to park near carry out & go get your food since there is no signage for curbside there. The good: the rolls were soft & fluffy, wish they came with butter. The Mushroom and Onion chopped steak was average portion but taste was there, good with the roll and mash potatoes & country "white" gravy. The bad: all my sides came half empty like they ran out of food. The special Mac n cheese tasted like just dried pasta, bland, with no flavor at all. The chicken noodle looked like pasta with no broth when this is supposed to be a soup, the corn had some flavor of butter. This was supposed to be Dinner for 2 = $22.99 which is a good deal if the sides were up to par. read more

I got an omelet and oh my gosh it was the best breakfast I have had in a while. Our waitress was nice but she didn't tell us her name! The restaurant is a nice place to sit in but it can be slow it depends when you come! I got some of their biscuits and I loved them so a solid 4. Could change at some point but for now it is a 4 read more

Bob Evans - Bob Evans Cinna-Biscuits Platter - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Sidney, Ohio

I had to wipe off my seat, booster chair was sticky, glass divider near us was filthy, carpet just gross. The food - pancakes undercooked - even after we sent them back, hash browns not crispy (ordered extra crispy), home fries ordered loaded - nope on that. Get that grill turned up and train that chef! They did give us 20% off our meal. Most of the food was good BUT THIS LOCATION HAS MANAGER PROBLEMS - employees should not be standing around doing nothing during/just before Sunday morning rush... We'll give you another shot likely but DO BETTER!!!!!!!! read more

Went 2 weeks ago at about 7:30, not busy at all. Stood at the front to be seated for a few minutes. Finally was lead to a booth, 5 or so more minutes the hostess came over and said my server was in the back talking to the manager and would be out shortly. More time goes by and server finally appears. Ordered a drink and was about to order my dinner but she turned around and went to get my drink. Finally ordered food and waited..... Crispy Wildfire Chicken salad. That's all. When it came out the salad had one grossly overcooked chicken inedible chicken tender cut up on top. Salad was disgusting. Bob Evans quality has gone downhill, or maybe it's just this one. On top of that, the table of 6 women near me had problems with their food as well. Bob Evans Corporate needs to pay this location a visit, at dinner time during the week....oh and their survey on the receipt, a joke. No real way for them to contact you. And yes, I would have spoken to the "manager" on duty but she was part of the problem after I figured out who she was. read more

I gave this Bob Evans experience a one only because there was no choice for zero. First, I ordered online and wanted to pay when I got there (not an option). Ok that's fine maybe they got pranked a few times. When I drove into the parking lot there were a total of 3 cars. I didn't even think they were open (so not busy AT ALL). They were open and I went in and stood up front at cash register. I waited for a minute I then coughed and made noises like "hey I'm out here." No one came. I had to go hunt somebody (sitting in a booth talking to another co-worker). I said "do you work here." She replied, "yeah do you want to dine in"". I said "no I want to pick-up my order. I think it's sitting up at the register." She replied, "oh is it done?" Got my order and left. I opened the "fresh" baked rolls wanting to bite into a nice warm, soft roll. Well that didn't happen not only was it cold but also hard and had a bad after taste (like rancid oil). My husband has long stopped going to Bab Evans due to the poor service and the declining quality of the food. Now I have joined him and will not go back. It's too bad for Bob Evans because with all the other options in town you'd think they would try a little harder. read more

Food was fine, but everyone working here seemed depressed or tired. Maybe we came at a bad time. We had to wait several minutes to be seated in a near empty restaurant. And when did Bob Evans stop offering free bread refills? 1st time in 15 years. All good things must come to an end. read more

Honestly really good service and food the bannana bread was finaminal! Would highly recommended and I just love the decor. read more

Food is never good. Poor service. Chicken was hard and couldn't eat it. Rolls weren't fresh baked.

I haven't been to a Bob Evans in a while and disappointed to see their prices have gone up and portion sizes have decreased! Not near enough gravy on my biscuits, very little sausage and the biscuits were smaller!!! Same gr8 service and quality of the food, BUT... read more

I had ordered their fresh berry hot cakes through DoorDash, never tried them before but the picture made them look very enticing so I was excited to try something that looked so good. A shock, but not a huge shock because I've had problems with this job evans before, I received my pancakes and there was no words for how they looked. It looked like someone got murdered over my pancakes. The picture on the left is what they're supposed to look like as well as a description of what they are. The picture on the right were my pancakes, too much strawberry syrup, no strawberries, no powdered sugar, and no whipped cream. Maybe they thought they could slack on it because it was a DoorDash so the person receiving them (me) couldn't complain in their face about it being wrong. read more

My family and I have eaten here several times and we have also ordered the to go service several times. When we are in the restaurant it seemed like we waited a long time, but when I've went in to pick up orders it's been much worse. Every time I pick up orders they are messed up. I have placed orders that were well over $100 during the holidays and they have also been messed up. They'll say my order is ready and then I'll ask them to go through the bag and nearly half the things I ordered will be missing and the things that are normally missing at main courses not just sides or rolls. Inevitably there is always something that gets missed which isn't realized until I get home and plate everything. If I don't stand there and check everything I'll get half of what I paid for and if I do stand there and wait I'll spend 30 to 45 mins in the store waiting on my supposedly already done order to get fixed. If you have somewhere else to order from, I'd order elsewhere. If you have another restaurant you can go to, I'd go elsewhere unless time does not concern you. read more

Got the slow roasted turkey melt. But burnt the hell out of my bacon. Need I say more. Basically had to disassemble my sandwich and wait for better cooked bacon. Then I had to put it all Back together today. 1-27-20 asked for a Cobb salad and got a cranberry pecan salad. Must be why they only have two stars read more

Ordered the take out Full Turkey dinner and pickup was well organized and no pushing through the crowns!! it was wonderful! Everyone looked good, cooked good and tasted Great! Turkey baked for over an hour and was so moist and delicious! All the side items were just like I made them myself! Roils we're grabbed to eat before dinner and No butter needed! Have delicious pumpkin pie for desert and then pumpkin bread to enjoy all weekend while decorating or watching football! We will be ordering this meal every year now! read more

We got takeout and everything was great! Everything was in the bag and food cooked perfectly!

Biscuits were rock solid took 45 mins just to get food while others who came after us got there food first

Don't let Bob Evan's "Guest Relations" comments below fool you, they posted a response to this review for appearance sake only, have yet to respond to me to address my issue with not getting a credit for the lousy food the onsite employee said she would issue back to my credit card. Very unhappy, strongly suggest anyone reconsider your choice if you decide to choose this restaurant. You will most likely be sorry you did. read more

Food was the only good thing about the visit. Service was forever for just waters and then ran out of water before the meal came out. When getting ready to check out was told to use another register.. okay figured we would get checked out while we were waiting. Someone else opened up another register and the lady looked at us and said you have to stay here. We don't like people who jump from one register to another read more

I picked up a to go order this evening. It was stapled shut. I asked is there utensils I was told yes. I get back to work. No utensils no butter why do people lie. If I wasn't sure I would have checked. I'm in town on the weekends and need something good for supper. I guess this bob Evans's is a joke. read more

Have to click any stars to be able to review, so there's the one. Absolutely infuriating place to patronize. And I wouldn't if he didn't want some salad he likes here. Service always s*cks. Always. But, I guess that's what you get when staff is predominantly of high school age. Tremendous focus on socializing with coworkers, and cell phone use; guess serving guests not as big of a priority. More dirty tables when we arrived nearing 7 p.m. than were filled with guests. Not shocking - nor was the lack of servers or managers tending to them - just aggravating. In fairness, that closing side work (tearing down ice tea urns, "marrying" foods) isn't going to do itself. If we have the audacity to come in 2 hours prior to closing, then we should have the patience for staff to get to us when they get to us. If you're expecting attentiveness, refills, a smile and 'how are you', timeliness, sincerity - regard as a customer by host, server, manager or cashier - lower your expectations. If you're seeking refuge from the elements, 'what can I get you' (because basically you're interrupting my side work and social life), and food that you may or may not have ordered, you're in. read more

Tonight, I give them five stars in that I arrived at 8:45 PM wanting a quick breakfast. Not only did they greet me with smiling faces and and enthusiasm to help me out, but they quickly prepared my meal and were efficient through the entire process. Unless you're dying of hunger, don't stop here. After waiting for more than 30 minutes for our food to be served, we were underwhelmed with the burnt hamburgers, wilted lettuce and spoiled fruit salad, and unknown floating objects in our drinks. The restrooms were also in need of a thorough cleaning. We were very disappointed in the overall experience. If given the option, I would not have even left the one star. read more

I have enjoyed Bob Evans in Sidney, Ohio for a few years before the COVID 19 but today was ridiculous. I looked online and placed an order for the Pot Roast Hash, eggs over easy. Also on the order was the small Wildfire Chicken Salad. When I arrived home I took out the Pot Roast Hash and this was in a container the measured 5.5 inches by 4.5 inches on the interior. This Pot Roast Hash cost almost $10.00 and the food that was enclosed could have been in a smaller container. Has the amount of food that is listed on the menu decreased in size and have the prices increased since the virus came to town? I did call and talked to a young lady named Amy, who indicated that she was the General Manager. She indicated that the amount of food that was in the container was the same amount that is served if I had eaten in the restaurant. ?????. On the Wildfire Chicken Salad it would be nice if the wilted pieces of lettuce were not included in the order. Because I have had good service in the I included a 15% tip. Not a good item. I will not be going back to Bob Evans Restaurants in the future. Thank you Earl read more

I have been disappointed by this place time and time again. I am to the point now where I will not go back. Perkins and Frische's Big Boy are much better options. Years ago BobEvans was a gem. However, these days you can tell they treat their employees poorly. You can also tell the food is no longer "home made" and is all too much made in a factory in huge batches and reheated when ordered. You can't even pretend it is homemade. Unfortunately, Bob Evans grew too big too fast, or outgrew its ability to keep offering great food as it once did. I will not go into specifics about my experiences with this place because I have developed my opinion over many visits over a few years now. I once enjoyed this place. Now I think it is horrible. There are much better options close by. read more

Super slow services and sticky bathroom floors. The only thing positive about this place is that you don't have to go in. When we arrived there were 2 people waiting to pick up food, a line waiting to pay & about 3 parties waiting to be seated. Finally a manager came up & quietly bitched at the wait staff to get their act together and get people seated! She had just finished getting the cashiers to turn their brains on. After we were seated, we were tended to rather quickly; drink orders & food orders taken. Two coffee ladies keeping our mugs full which was nice, but I think that maybe they could have been better placed in an area where they would be more useful. The restaurant was not full & definitely not empty. After we placed our order the waiting game began. Probably a good 20 mins later our waitress popped over to inform our 10 year old that they were out of Pot Pies. Thirty minutes later, our food finally arrived. Our food tasted good, but waiting almost an hour was a little too excessive. The coffee ladies were nice & extremely accommodating, which led me to the restrooms. Not sure how I got out of there, sticky floors!! That is all that I will say. Will I return? Nope. However, I will still return to a Bob Evans, just not this one. read more

The staff is untruthful, and uniformed. When asked if the country fried steak was battered there or frozen throw in the deep fryer crap she told us it was made there...when the food arrived it was disgusting frozen deep fryer crap that I couldn't eat. I informed the waitress she told us she seen them batter it, when the ass Mgr was talked to he stated Bob evens made it and shipped it to the restaurant frozen....... please do I look that dimwitted? I wouldn't of minded paying for the part of the dinner we could choke down, but was charged for everything even tho it was obvious I didn't eat the frozen crap patty they tried to pass off as decent food. Horrible service. Waited 15 minutes with no service. Told the onsite manager and she looked list. Got up and left. While walking out the group in front of me said the same. I never ever not leave a tip, but this wait staff almost always gets a nickel. My daughter likes the three course dinner, and the food is consistent Bob Evans. I never leave Bob Evans wishing I had gone somewhere else. The food is always really good.

Lousy service.... I've been here more than several times but no more. I will travel to Wapakoneta or Troy to go to Bob Evan's, The service is S.L.O.W whether it's the wait staff taking orders, those who prepare the food, having the meal delivered & follow up for refills. I believe in second chances because of unfortunate circumstances BUT poor service ALL the time? I've tried carry out and had orders messed up. i wish i could rate 0 stars. only because of one thing. we get there and order. all was well until about 35-40 minutes later when we finally got our food. my dad had rock hard biscuits since they let our food sit under the lamps for ages. the home fries weren't the best. i had to season them with the salt provided. my step mom had to wait probably 5 or 10 minutes for mayo and pickles for her burger. the waitress was chatting with people. not taking orders, chatting while we were waiting for my step moms mayo and pickles. luckily, someone else got it for us. in the end we left unsatisfied. but as we left we notice the flag. the flag on their flag pole is a disgrace. it's torn on the ends and barely hanging with a thread. that's what really got us upset. we completely understand shorts staffed. where i work i am short staffed as well. but it just wasn't the best experience. like i said i wouldn't be as upset as i am now if their flag wasn't torn up so much. read more

I've been to this location on a few occasions to keep trying to get a better food experience. Each time I left more disappointed than the next. This last time will be my last time at this location. I ordered French Toast with bacon and home fries. The bacon was good but can you really ruin bacon? The French toast came out and on my first bite it was soggy which was due to it being way undercooked. I had to send it back and told the server to bring me hot cakes instead. They came but they too were undercooked but not nearly as bad as the French toast. I had my wife try it and she agreed. The service has never been good for us at this location but I understand as virtually every time I have visited there are more kids serving than adults. Kids don't know what good service really is. Why this location continues to make that decision is unknown by me. The only reason I gave it two stars is that they are consistent. I won't be back but I'm sure the management is to blame, not the workers. read more
