My Mom and I are visiting family in Celina and decided to try The Bay for breakfast. We got there around 8am on Sunday morning so the place wasn't super busy. We were seated right away and ordered some coffee. The coffee was good but on the strong side. I ordered the Western Omelette and my Mom got The Goat omelette. We split an order of the 1/2 Biscuits and Gravy. Everything was delicious! All the ingredients were super fresh and they were not stingy with the cheese. I will say that it took 20ish minutes for our food to come out, but you could tell it was freshly made to order. The food was piping hot! Overall, The Bay is a nice, casual place with great food and a nice view of the lake. 5/5 would recommend! We'll be back the next time we are in Celina. read more

First off I'd like to say I was impressed it's a nice looking place, the food was not spectacular I asked for hot sauce because I like that on my eggs and was told that they could bring it to the table but they'd have to charge me for it. Never been charged for hot sauce and a breakfast place before but hey and I've heard they have good pies never had one of those either. Had lunch there Tuesday. Ordered the chicken tender basket. Coleslaw was really good, but the tenders were anything but that. They looked great but the meat was so tough and stringy. My family came to this restaurant due to the many positive reviews I found on Yelp. I say this restaurant, because I am a bit confused as to what the name is. Their website address has Pullman Bay. Their text messaging service for a table says Pullman Bay. Their restaurant and menu say The Bay. Regardless of who's bay it is, the food here is great! Firstly, this place is clean, the decor is a lake-house diner feel, which i like. I loved they have a text messaging service that tells you when your table is ready. There was a bit of a wait, 25 minutes, but there were a lot of people dining, even more waiting, on this busy Saturday morning. The workers hustle, so its not because they are slow. Once our table was ready, we were sat down and we ordered drinks. My family ordered soda, which they brought in a pitcher, I wanted some coffee. My brother ordered the big breakfast, but he asked for a side of pancakes. My mom got the lakeshore sunrise which was apropos for the restaurant and the fact it is next to the water. My mother especially loved the French toast. I asked for some eggs benedict with a side of bacon.Now this is not a traditional eggs benedict, as it has ham instead of Canadian bacon. Still, it tasted so good, a purist like me ignored that fact. The food was filling and delicious. The service was excellent. We all enjoyed our meal and our time together. Great hometown establishment that serves breakfast and lunch for all hours they are open. My wife and I decided to do a late breakfast. No wait and we were lucky because we beat the crowd. Service was prompt and courteous. Both of our breakfasts came out in deep crocks. I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had a smothered potato/omelette dish with sausage gravy. Both of us were impressed, outstanding. The only negative was the buckeye pie, it tasted good but it wasn't fresh. Will definitely go back if we're in the area. read more

The service was outstanding! Friendly, thoughtful and expedient. I had the Captain Rye-ly with coleslaw and a bowl of chili. Everything was excellent, and I'm a snob about Ruben's and Cole slaw. This might be the best of each of these that I've had. The Chili was great and had a natural tasting sweetness and fresh flavors. The prices are reasonable if not lower I'd expect. Pullman Bay is now called The Bay and is owned by the former owner's daughter. The restaurant no longer has broasted chicken but has a very similar menu. We had breakfast today and had the western omelette, fried potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Everything was very good! We took home several pieces of pie for supper. Yummy. read more

We ordered takeout to eat outside by the lake. Takeout took about 30 minutes from order to pick up. We got there around 11:30. The chicken takes time (nice to know that it's crazy fresh not sitting under warmers) I ordered the Broasted Chicken (3 Piece White meat) with French fries and cottage cheese also an order of fried pickle spears. I ordered the chicken because everyone on here seems to speak very highly of it AND they should. It was fantastic. It was so juicy and full of flavor. It was heaven. The fried pickle spears were amazing as well. I love the panko breading. My dad ordered the Grand Lake Special. It was two huge pancakes with your choice of meat and an egg. The pancakes and bacon were delicious. They egg was sad. We ordered a couple slices of butterscotch pie and it was to die for. So good. It's hard to find amazing homemade butterscotch pie. Pullman's has it! The restaurant is very small and local favorite. It was packed. They are not doing anything with social distancing because they just do not have to space to keep people six feet apart. The associates are wearing masks, they are not requiring customers to wear them. The takeout menu does not have their breakfast menu attached and is missing a couple small things but you can ask for those menus when you get there. If you're gonna be around Grand Lake or in Celina Pullman Bay is definitely a place to try. read more

The food was general food. Nothing noted as good our stand out. Service is slow and disjointed. They have lost steam since we started coming 15 years ago. This last experience will be our last for a long time. Extremely overpriced, no refills given on our drinks(we ordered soda) and they made a point to make sure we knew there are no refills iced tea. The glasses are maybe 10oz at best? 2.99 for the slurp of any drink. We purchased a pie about 2 weeks prior to this visit. $27.99 for a triple berry pie. We are from Columbus and these prices are obscene by our standards. The atmosphere is very tight, very small. A new coat of paint doesn't change anything. Very sad to see the "new" changes. We were staying in town while visiting family and needed breakfast on Sunday morning. We ordered scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a cinnamon roll. Eggs were oily and bland, biscuits were a little bready and not biscuity Sausage patty was good. The lady told us not to heat up the cinnamon roll until we were ready to eat it. We did just that and it's probably the best I've had. Crusty on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside. Prices are super reasonable so we would go here again and this time get extra cinnamon rolls so I don't have to share!! read more

Met up with family halfway and decided to meet here because of the great reviews. Service was quick and the room was full. The dining area was tight, which is difficult to maneuver with a car seat. Staff was very friendly and it seemed like a local joint. For 3 adults and a toddler, our total was around $45. We all got waters. The food all tasted very good. I got the fish sandwich, broasted potatoes, and tried the deep fried mushrooms. All tasted great. My concern was two of our plates had a hair on them. A waitress asked if we were done with our ketchup bottle, and placed it directly on another persons table. Especially during Covid, I was hoping these were wiped between guests. The waitress also stated she put in the order wrong (grilled chicken instead of chicken tenders) and asked if that would be ok. My mother is very gracious and said that would be fine. I was surprised that she asked, rather than just correcting the mistake when she realized it. After we left, my mom realized they forgot to bring her side of coleslaw as well. Looks can be deceiving! A little small town diner with excellent food and homemade pies. Friendly service and clean dining room. Nice view of the lake. Worth a stop. I had the club with fries with an apple pie. The bacon on the club was still hot. Proof that everything is made to order. The Dutch Apple Pie was an excellent finish to my meal. Okay. So. My family went here, and arrived after everyone. When I arrived, they asked me if I needed anything, and made sure I was conformable, it took me literally seconds. The place overall also looks extremely nice, and when you walk in, you immediately see a portion of the kitchen, which is surprisingly clean (I worked at many different businesses, including about five restaurants), the decor is well picked, and blends well with the environment. The food both looks and taste extremely good. The price is extremely good this quality of food. Overall I'd recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place to eat. read more

The breakfast food is spot-on, though, which is why it is THE after church go-to in the greater Celina area. THERE WILL BE A CROWD ON SUNDAY MORNINGS. But that's only 'cause Pullmans bitch smacks next door neighbor Bob Evans right back to his corporate "farm." Every time I end up in Pullman Bay - especially now that I don't live in Celina anymore - I have to sit by the window and stare out across the lake. It can be so peaceful and serene. Now this is a real Blue Hair delight. If you're reading this review, you'll be the youngest person in this restaurant by three decades. No joke, this place caters to the old and the older. The parking lot is always full of Buicks and Lincolns. The interior is right out of the early 1970s. Hell, I'll admit, my grandparents introduced me to this place back in the day. At the same time, though, it avoids the major blue hair weaknesses of bland food by having relatively innovative flavors in traditional American fare. Given the clientele, the food is reasonable and the portions sizable. The pie is amazing, and whole pies are sold to go (you'll want to know that after having a piece). Service is always great. The restaurant offers huge windows through the dining room with a nice lake view. And if the lake isn't your thing, check out the waitresses! The consistency of staff cuteness here is Guiness book-worthy, seriously. Definitely a bonus. Pullman Bay is everything you could want in a Blue Hair. If you're ever in Celina, check it out. I'll give you a couple warnings though: one, this is a small restaurant, so be prepared to wait. And two: leave the Obama and Che t-shirts at home. This is Mercer County, people, and you don't want to end up in jail, dead, or both. read more

*Former employee review* This place is truly a classic. My grandparents ate here at my age, and now my nieces and nephews do. Support your local eatery! YOU MUST eat some of their pie! The women baking these pies come in every day specifically to make amazing pies. You may not ever see a higher meringue in your life. Experience shows here! The lemon meringue is just how you imagine it should be, and they rotate the flavors, even throwing in some experimental ones now and then. The pecan pie is also wonderful. Breakfast is always excellent, made on the griddle. Try the hashbrowns - can't go wrong! The decor is nothing to die over (haha,) and is very outdated, yet equally comforting when out-of-town for long periods of time. The staff is generally caring and attentive. --Leave a tip!!
