The place has a nice vibe. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and they actually have specials every day. Service was really good, food was high quality. The only thing we didn't care for was the screaming by the cooks when food was ready. We were half way toward the front and place was about 40% full and could hear the screaming like they were right beside us. Alexa A. was our server and she was super sweet and accommodating. She made sure to check on us multiple times and attentively listened to our order. She even helped switch out the kids meal because our daughter did not like the spaghetti. My husband was a HUGE fan of the boneless wings and noted that the flavor lingers deliciously on your palate. Restaurant right on the main road in town. Came in the afternoon on Sunday and was sat immediately. Noise level was low to medium. My husband and I were able to carry a conversation and could hear one another. Now the chairs at the table were comfortable!! I would come back as one of the main reasons!! The decor was eye catching and unique. Mikey ordered the pork chop special no substitutions allowed for the fries and no problem with that hey it's the special! I ordered the smother chicken based on the recommendation of another yelp post. Excellent flavor. Chicken was nice and tender easy to chew (I have issues with eating certain foods). Honestly the chicken be served without the cheese on it and just the veggies on it and it would be good. If we drive through town again we would stop in. read more

Great restaurant with excellent food, delicious cocktails, beautiful decor (other than too many TVs lol), and super friendly service. The value is good too. Dining out is just crazy expensive these days, like everything else -- considering that you can spend a small fortune on very average fare in a hole-in-the-wall joint, the prices at 202 (which may be slightly above other local restaurants) are perfectly reasonable because you're getting premium ingredients and expert preparation in a lovely setting. And the place is vegetarian friendly! The kale salad is awesome (I am now addicted). Flatbread pizzas are great. Fries are perfect, as are the other sides like asparagus and broccolini. Disappointed!! We went last Friday with four other people. This was our first visit to The 202 Tavern since they opened. We got there around 4:15 and asked about "happy hour" - - Happy hour just ended, it's from 2 to 4. What?? Who has a happy hour that ends at 4 o'clock? Doesn't happy hour normally go until 5? Two of the Tavern's closest competitors has theirs until 5. The food was okay - better than bar food, but not outstanding. After a couple of drinks, beer and some food, it was time for the checks. Remember . . . there were just 6 of us. The check had an automatic 20% gratuity!! Not a word was mentioned by our waitress about this automatic up-charge. When we asked about it - she said it's automatic when there's a party of 6 or more!!! I might be able to understand this for a large party - but for a party of 6, and at 20%?? read more

We stopped at The 202 Tavern for a late lunch. We were greeted with a smile and friendly hello as we entered the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly. I ordered the smothered chicken and it was delicious. The decor is the same with the exception of a few more tvs. It is clean and bright. We will go back again. read more

We went on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. Our server was Cornell and he was on it!! He was always checking on us and delivered everything extremely fast. Also, everything came out so quickly! It was almost as if they knew our order before we placed it. We tried many different items on the menu and everything was delicious. The brownie and ice cream dessert was so good and hit the spot. We will definitely come again and request Cornell as our server. :) read more
