Food was pretty good. Service was great. Reviews had me a little worried but I was surprised.

The food has always been good when I went! It gets a little busy sometimes and wait times are long. Typical Bob Evans food, nothing special.

My Mac n cheese was served frozen. Eggs were lukewarm. Only good thing was the coffee.

Horrible service- long waits for food. No organization and we're the only people in here. Tables aren't cleaned. Never again

Great food options, something for everyone…read more All-sized parties are welcome, and the bar has a wide assortment. There were eight of us at the party today, with people scattered throughout the main dining room, the bar, and the back dining room. Sadly, there was only one wait staff for everybody, so she ran to keep up. Everybody enjoyed what they ordered. It was freshly prepared and had great flavoring. Prices are fair, and no surcharge was added for the party of eight. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. It was quiet, and because of the ambient noise, we were able to have conversations without yelling at one another.

The only valid gripe about this restaurant I read concerned its ambience being a rather dark restaurant. I can certainly acknowledge that, still its is a large one with plenty of room. They also have an area set aside for parties and events. Service was excellent. Our waitress was courteous, the food came out quick. My mother got some shrimp scampi, baked apples and mashed potatoes she absolutely loved to the point she immediately told me she wanted to return to this restaurant in the future. My brother ordered a farmhand burger, and I got a rack of the baby back ribs. These meals were delicious, hearty, and quite satisfying. One thing we all regret is that we did not take a fresh baked pie home, next time we will. I loved how on the way out you can grab a lollipop, the kid in me loved the idea. Great place! I will return!

Food was exceptional for the area - and I can't overstate how nice it is to see a place like this thriving. There were, however, a number of elementary culinary errors. The most glaring were that both steaks, and prime rib, at the table were significantly overcooked, and everything was underseasoned across the board. The quality of meat, and the char on it, were SOLID. Even the sauces were good, but underseasoned. The whole table was a pinch of salt away from excellent, but I recognize that a small town Ohio clientele is going to expect overcooked steaks and salt at the table... At any rate, I'll be back, I'll order my steak even rarer, and I'll sneak a pocket full of maldon in with me, like the bougie Dale Gribble I am.

We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer (very good) and the sauce had a nice kick. We both had apple cider manhattans which was a sweet twist to a Manhattan. The apple cider adds a sweet touch. Our mains were the same. We both had Millie's Cut with mashed reds and an extra side order of Brussels sprouts. He ordered the shrimp & crab cream sauce on the side, and it was rich and flavorful. He shared it with me. Having it on the side seemed like a healthier option. Also worth noting is the lemon vinaigrette salad dressing which was delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

There's a…read morediner menu letter board up on the wall, yellow with age, announcing the flavors of milkshakes and ice cream. It's from the 60s and probably hasn't changed since they put it up 65 years ago. There's a whiteboard on the back wall with the special for the day written out. Bacon egg and cheese omelette or a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on toast. Five dollars. The kind of place with a few locals sitting at a booth having their morning coffee, one of the waitresses offering Jim the last donut because they know he will want it. He accepts it. This is, in my mind, a classic American small town diner. The kind of place I grew up, eating in my hometown of 500 people. It's not high cuisine, there's nothing fancy about the food although I did come across a few things I had never seen before on the menu. Fried mush. Meat grits specials, like the scuttle butt and the chili Bob. An age old, but perfected recipe of eggs, meat, cheese, and a starch either potatoes ( homefries) or toast. The coffee is weak and not much flavor to it but, to be honest, it's exactly what you would expect in a place like this and there's something comforting about that. Honest, simple food made day and a day out, catering to the local crowd and a few roadway, travelers like myself who happen to come across it. There's a certain charm and depth to places like this that have been lived in day and day out by the same people for decades. For those like up rounded, there's the nostalgia and connection to the many other people having the same experience day after day in communities across the United States. Forgive me if I wax nostalgia can get a little sentimental here, but this morning's dining experience definitely elicited that for me. I hope you can find your own version of this sometime today or in the near future.
