I went to Red Lobster and didn't even end up eating there because the experience was so uncomfortable right from the start. We hadn't even sat down yet--just walked in--and this girl immediately started giving us the nastiest look for no reason. Like straight-up staring and mean mugging as if we did something to her. We weren't being loud or doing anything at all, just minding our business, and it made the whole place feel awkward and unwelcoming. It's no wonder they are going bankrupt! I got chicken Alfredo linguine and I thought they either brought me a child's portion or a senior portion! Salad does NOT even come with it, for the price and portion it should have. The pasta was bland, could tell the pasta water was not salted! Hush puppies weren't very good either! Left there to get dessert elsewhere as we were still hungry. Would've got it there but as I mentioned the portion sizes shrunk so much I figured the desserts would be tiny too. My family and I are originally from South Florida and it was back in 2019 they had any seafood... i have been more fortunate as I had some in Jan 2020 on a trip to Amelia Island. Still it had been a long time for any of us thanks to the blasted pandemic. Since we are technically new to the area we don't really know where to get good seafood, especially in a landlocked state like Ohio. We decided to go to Red Lobster since its a chain. We all came about a months ago and really enjoyed our meal. My family started with some mozzarella sticks for an app. They weren't bad but they are mozzarella sticks, they rarely are special. We definitely dived in when the cheddar bay biscuits came. They are possibly the tastiest thing Red Lobster makes. We had like three orders of them. For our main course we all ordered differently. I ordered the choose your own combo (3), with some of Walt's Favorite Shrimp (hand breaded fried shrimp), garlic shrimp scampi and a 7 oz Sirloin Steak with sides of fries. My mother requested her own combo (3) all shrimp scampi with baked potato. My brother decided to go for the enormous Ultimate Feast, which contains Maine lobster tail, wild-caught North American snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt's Favorite Shrimp. I guess one positive thing about moving from Florida is that Maine lobster is more easy to get than the smaller Florida lobster. The meal was incredibly satisfying. My mother was especially happy as she absolutely loves shrimp scampi. We were so full by the end of the meal, we had no room left for dessert. Never do take out here. This was my last time. When my husband brought the food home I received mushy overcooked lobster. It was horrible. I tried to call and talk to the manager, who identified as Patty. She was nasty, abrasive, rude, interruptive, and yelled at me the for almost the entire phone call. Came here for dinner at 7:30 and I have to say that the food was amazing. Everything was fresh and hot. Sometimes when you go late they slack off on the freshness and service, not here. The service is the best I have had in a very long time. Tim is the absolute BEST!! I am very picky about how my steak is made and Tim said that he was personally going to speak to the chef about how to prepare my meal.. outstanding he went above and beyond. I don't think I have ever had a bad experience at any Red Lobster ever and last night in Lima adds to that list. It wasn't my first visit to this location but it has been many years since. On a Wednesday night at 7:15pm there was no wait for a table for 4. Used the restroom prior to dinner and it was very clean. The greeter, a young man was very polite, well dressed and professional. When seated our waitress, Megan, was promptly with us getting our drink order and asking for appetizers. She quickly returned with our drinks. I ordered some sort of feast with 2 types of shrimp, lobster tail, scallops, an ear of corn and a salad. I requested extra butter, which was brought to the table in a timely manner. The pre-feast biscuits are always loved by all. Megan even offered a second basket. Good job! My meal was great. The food was hot, very good tasting and well presented. I cannot say what others ordered, but I did not hear one complaint. The final bill was in the $80.00 price range for a table of 4. Mind you no alcoholic beverages were ordered and two of us drank water. I think overall a very good experience on a beautiful Wednesday evening. The greater even opened the door as we were leaving. I really don't know why we decided to go to red lobster but our service was OK the food was blah. I think one of the best things are red lobster is the biscuits and that's the only thing they can do good anymore this is an a dick against this one restaurant it's just red lobster in general I guess. Our server was OK like I said I don't know if I would go back but that's because I don't really like red lobster. Went here for dinner on a Saturday night while in from out of town. Our waitress was very friendly & on top of things. Restaurant/bathrooms seemed cleaned. Only took a few moments to be seated. Our food came out hot & didn't take too long. The coleslaw is a bit different than others I've had. It's more vinegary/sour tasting. I didn't care for it at first, but then after taking a few more bites it began to taste better. I ordered the shrimp trio, which came with popcorn shrimp, shrimp scampi & fried shrimp. Tasted good, just wish they gave more fries with it. Overall pleased with my experience. read more

What an amazing birthday celebration I had tonight! First time we went here a year was okay . The personnel were amazing and the food was pretty good. THIS time, they have really stepped up their game - to perfection. The lobster was cooked perfectly, the server, Ryan, was amazingly attentive, friendly and spot on, the hostess, Devon, was so sweet, Allie was very nice as well, and Brenda, the manager, was very courteous and friendly, as well as professional. The General Manager was there, and he cooked my lobster. It really was amazing. His name was Dennis. I also had coconut shrimp and stuffed mushroom's. We were a table of eight and the waitress was nowhere to be found majority of the time, most requests had to be fulfilled by random waitresses. Went to Red Lobster on Harding Hy., Lima to celebrate our 51st Anniversary. We ordered drinks. Husband got top shelf long Island ice tea. It was awful, like water. Told waitress. She said it was a well drink and if we wanted top shelf we had to tell her. Ask to see menu and it said top shelf $7.99. When we got bill, she charged us $7.99 for that crappy drink. Husband's meal was awful too. The salmon was real fishy and sauce on top had small shrimp that tasted like rubber. And the rice was under cooked tasted like bird seed. Complai ed to waitress and manager and neither one took anything off Bill. Also their special was 1 lb. Crablegs for 21.00 and they charged me full price and wouldn't take that off Bill. Believe it or not that was my second time at a Red Lobster ever! What can I say my first experience wasn't stellar and this time i ran out of options and didn't want to go across town for a meal. Surprisingly the place didn't smell of back fish or shrimp like the first time... it actually looks fairly new with a rather nice updated decor. The biscuits they give you while you wait for your entree are delish... but hey I love bread!! I got a mixed dish of lobster, shrimp and scallops. I know -- I said we'd never go back to the Lima Red Lobster, but my wife and kids like the place. Truthfully, however, the physical space has been remodeled and the transformation seems to have worked its magick on the staff, many of whom seem new. The staff was friendly, fast and the good wasn't any worse than last time. Maybe a click better, 'cause they had milk ... Beer Barrel, Yamato Japanese Steak House and even the Kewpee are great here, but there is a place for Red Lobster. But I'm watching you, bubb. I'm watching you. read more

This review is based on a to-go order yesterday....I would certainly not recommend getting your food to-go......I have a health problem and can no longer dine in restaurants .....the gentleman that took my order was great and told me we would have 6 biscuits with our order....well we had NO biscuits....our Caesar salad consisted of a carton of large pieces of romaine, mostly stalks...no croutons, no cheese....that's it..........there was dressing....the salmon was overdone..........the clam chowder was wonderful but a biscuit sure would of been nice....... read more

My wife had the Maine Lobster, my sister had shrimp, and I had the Salmon. All were delicious and it was my sisters first taste of lobster, at 67 years old she enjoyed her first ever. We visited the Lima, Ohio Red Lobster on 3/29/13 and the food and service was better than ever. We started out with an appetizer of cheese sticks, onion rings and chicken strips. That was followed by ceasar salads and cheddar bay biscuits. I had the maple glazed chicken for my entree and my husband had the shrimp linguine and a skewer of shrimp on the side. Amber was our waitress and we could not have asked for better service. Kudos! read more
