House Salad With Balsamic Vinaigrette

The Chicken Parm was amazing. It was flavored really well and the chicken had a pleasing and consistent texture. You could tell it was high quality! The server was friendly and gave us another round of bread which was also awesome. The atmosphere of the overall establishment during lunch is a modern and well-lit area, perfect for a get-together. At night, they open their downstairs dining area which is dimly lit and intimate.

Huge portions and delicious. Zach was our waiter and he was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was fun and modern. This area of Lima has other options for dining, entertainment, and a small pin bowling alley. Will definitely return.

Highly recommend their maple pecan bourbon

Nonno's Cellar at Casa Lu Al was amazing! My husband and I booked a last minute reservation there and all of their systems were down. They still gave us a phenomenal experience, allowing us to still dine down there. Our waitress was so kind and Tracy, the hostess was the kindest soul. The food was great, but the experience was even better. We are so grateful to Casa Lu Al and their staff!

Bread basket and Meatball Appetizer

Great facility and hospitality. Fun ambiance. Salad - too close to a fast food salad. Remove celery and use whole pitted black olives. Cut your own romaine. (Seemed to be fancy GFS salad mix) Use your bread to also make baked croutons instead GFS croutons. Use bowls of whipped butter instead of packages of GFS butter, or offer flavored olive oil. Put salad dressing in a separate container to pour on the salads. Offer hand shaved Parmesan instead of Pizza Hut Parmesan Offer a garlic/herb chutney for people to Spice up their sauce the way they like. Your facility and staff present an above level experience. Now you need to get the food and food presentation to that level.

Chicken parm was too tough to cut. Lasagna was over-cooked. Service good. Soda drink was not brixed correctly.

318 Restaurant & Bar - Toasted ravioli with marinara...so good!

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

In one episode, one of the protagonists Captain Sheridan, is trying to learn about and from one of the more mysterious characters on the show, an enigmatic being named Kosh. Kosh takes Sheridan to a place he had never been before and tells him to go into a room. Kosh stays outside and Sheridan asks, what's in there? Kosh only replies: "One moment of perfect beauty.". Sheridan enters the darkened corridors and is struck by the beauty of music in the form of a Gregorian chant. When he comes out speechless and a changed man, he is asked by one of his friends what he saw... all he could respond... was "beauty... in the dark." Though, i do not believe i do that scene justice, i believe it shows the power of music. How it can move someone and inspire. It is why i love music, and especially classical music. Ever since I was a child, and was exposed to it, i have been enthralled. I was excited, then to finally hear a symphony orchestra play again since I moved to Ohio since before the pandemic. The event was titled "From Madrid to Mexico", featuring compositions from those nations or inspired from them. The music truly moved me. The compositions played were the following: Intermezzo from Goyescas by Enrique Ganados From the Concierto De Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo Allegro Con Spirito Adagio Allegro Gentile Selections from Carmen Suites by Georges Bizet Aragonaise Les Toreadores Habenera Chanson du Toreodor Le Cid Ballet Suite by Jules Massenet Castillane Andalouse Aragonaise Aubade Catalane Madrilene Navarraise Danzon No.2 by Arturo Marquez Special Encore of Estrellita by Manuel Ponce. All of these were wonderfully played. Adagio from the Concierto De Aranjuez is one of my favorite classical songs, so I was so ecstatic to hear it! The guitar just has a way of plucking at my heart strings. But, what really hit me emotionally was Estrellita which only was played as an encore. Whenever I would stay with my aunt as a child, God rest her soul, she would play this song before I would go to bed. It means alot to me personally, and u never heard the song again after she passed. I never knew the name of the song until this concert. So thankful to have heard it again, and know the name of it so I can hear it again in the future. After the event, there was cocktails and cake and the chance to meet and talk to members of the orchestra. That was so cool! Really my only gripe is that Lima Symphony Orchestra has something called the "friends of the symphony", and almost all their luncheons are on a weekday. That makes it hard for people who live over an hour away and work... i certainly want to be a friend of the orchestra. All in all, its a great orchestra... very talented... and love how they try to get the community more involved. If you love music, buy some tickets! It will give you the experience of listening to a few hours of perfect beauty.

After a long wait, a different server (let's call her server B) came to the table and said "could you remind me what you ordered". Several minutes later server B brought dad's salad. Several minutes later the Han this, Server A (who had walked past 2-3 times since server B had reordered our food), saw my beer was 2/3 empty and asked if I wanted another. Mind you, she never apologized for losing our order or even faked a sign of shock at the length of time we had been sitting without having received our orders. My dad finished his salad, I finished my beer. Server A then approached the couple seated in the booth behind me dad and sat down, proceeding to complain about how she was so busy all day. I went to the restroom. Server A was still seated at the neighboring booth when I returned. There was no food at our table yet either. We left. I didn't approach Server A nor did she approach us as we stood up to leave (she was seated facing our direction). As a 20 year veteran server in family style restaurants and corporate restaurants alike, Server A's complete lack of regard or respect for us was very disappointing. She should not be in this line of work. At best, she is better suited to hosting or bussing. I wouldn't even trust her to be a food runner.

For the wedding though intimacy was lost in the space, and some were forced to witness the I Do-s from a hard angle, but it wasn't too bad. The place has a nice PA system for music, two LCD screens, and twin golden chandeliers adding class to the environs. The bar sits out in the lobby. My first impression? Dark! I arrived at noon:30 because a passing acquaintance mentioned Lombardo's having the best BPTS. The staff and regulars numbered five and were bantering about nothing at high decibel. I sat at the bar and grabbed a menu. It is a perfectly useful, simple, no-frills list of food and prices. The bartender/waitress was a tad slow to engage this newcomer, but finally got around to taking my order and delivering a glass of water. My second impression? Still dark. The BPTS arrived after the usual wait and was hot from the fryer. It comes with nothing, but the usual garnishes are available for an up-charge that seems a tad rich. $1 for a slice of winter tomato? Pass. $1 for a slice of cheese? Pass. $1 for a slice of onion? Pass. The bun was fresh and the pickle spear was beginning to trend from crisp and crunchy towards a hint of limp. I enjoyed the porky goodness and flashbacks to my childhood BPTS memories. Will I return? Probably. I hope that the kitchen will do breakfast-for-lunch. I am also curious about their hamburger ... $3.50, but the double hamburger is more than 2x the regular burger. What's with that?
