I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

I went about a month ago to the Veteran's Memorial Civic & Convention Center with my family to see…read morethe Lima Symphony Orchestra play. Overall, i think its a great place to watch a play, symphony or other cultural event but it does have some room for improvement. First things first, lets talk about location. Its located in Lima and its within driving distance to a lot of different restaurants. It is also across the street from Old City Prime, which is an amazing restaurant that has its own live entertainment. A great date spot. So it is in a great location. In regards to accessibility and parking, well this can use some work. It does have a parking lot rather close by for $5... which is very reasonable. It lacks though, valet parking. Sometimes, you just don't want to park yourself and having that would be a great convenience. Moreover, older folks who may have mobility issues would definitely use it. My mother does have those problems and it was a little far for her from the parking lot. Moreover, it was a bit hard for her to enter the building as they required several steps up. Concessions... thank goodness this place sells alcohol. For some reason this isn't a normal thing for theaters in the area... no idea why. Kudos to this place for selling it. They sell wine, liquor and beer. For those forgoing adult beverages they sell Pepsi products. The place itself has comfortable seating and helpful staff to help you find your seat. One thing to keep in mind, the closer you sit to the front, the harder it will be for you to see all the members of the orchestra. Thats not a problem Ive ever had in other venues, so that is a negative. All in all, it is a great place to go and have some fun. Certainly enjoyed myself that night.

Another aewsome theater, which is just the perfect size to feel intimate with the band…read more Beer and drink prices are good...only have to shell out $6 for a 12 oz beer. The selection is small, just a few domestic beers, a handful of wines, and whatever liquor you may want. There are supposedly some snacks, not sure what they are...we don't need them; we just had some some great local grub. Best venue parking and accessibility both coming and going. Doors opened right at 6:30 and show at 7:30 pm. Parked right out front for free....AWESOME!! After the show was just as easy and fast. We walked down the stairs, stopped at the bathroom, and then right out the front door... no issues. Will definitely be back if there is a good show...it's less than two hours from home.

I think its wonderful that the Lima Symphony Orchestra creates an event to get kids into classical music. It was also cheap, $20 for any seat in the house?!?!? Heck i got tickets just cuz they were so cheap! How else are you going to get to sit so close to the stage for so low a price?!?!? The event had coplayers from a comics shop within Lima, Alter Ego Comics, which I plan to visit in the future. They had heroes like Captain America, Starlord, Wonder Woman and others. They also had cosplayers from the Star Wars universe, and even though I do not believe Jedi are superheroes, Sith are certainly supervillains. I will say, the cosplayer they had dressed up as Anakin Skywalker, absolutely nailed him! He got the voice, the body language and attitude! Kudos to him! During the time the orchestra played they had the cosplayers come out, they also had the cosplayers in character if their characters theme was playing. I think that was a nice touch to keep kids engaged. I loved it because a-lot of these themes I have always loved, and id pay more than $20 to listen to Imperial March played by ah orchestra. These were the songs played: 1. Main Title from Star Wars 2. Theme from Batman (1989 film) 3. Theme from Spiderman 4. Theme from The Avengers 5. Imperial March 6. Leia's Theme 7. Across the Stars 8. Theme from The Mandalorian 9. March from Captain America 10. Theme from the Incredibles 11. Cruela De Vil 12. Wonder Woman Suite 13. Main Title from Superman It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
