Great staff - friendly, attentive and fun vibes here. We loved the focaccia bread, Greek salad with chicken and the meatloaf here is special. Special meatloaf? - Yes. Very unique sauce and a great dish - give it a try.

This place was so good, we went for lunch two days in a row! On both days, my party of two was seated promptly, even at the height of the lunch rush (this place was packed). The staff was super friendly and we never waited very long for anything. On the first day, I got the grilled chicken wrap with their brussels sprouts side. The wrap was warm, tasty, and very filling. The grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed the brussels sprouts as well, but probably would not order it again. The bacon on it was good, but gave a heavy feeling to it that I was not looking for when I ordered it. On the second day, I got the chicken shawarma with a side Met salad, and we also got the shaved brussels salad as a starter. While I was sick of salad by the time I finished the meal, everything was amazing! The shaved brussels salad had wonderful flavors. Whatever dressing they used on the brussels themselves was great, and paired very well with the fresh parmesan cheese that topped the salad. I also loved my chicken shawarma. The pita was fresh, as well as all the veggies on it, though I definitely could have used more tzatziki. The side Met salad was good, but like I said before, I was saladed-out by the time it got to me. Overall, if you are looking for a great meal in the Lima area, this is the place to go. Based on how busy it was, I am sure the locals would agree. The prices are reasonable, parking is fairly simple (given that this place is located downtown), and the food is amazing!

Back in November 2023, I came to the Met after listening to the Lima Symphony Orchestra. The Met had long been on my list of places to eat, but my family and I decided to finally go after the restaurant was mentioned by the conductor of the symphony during the show. He advised members of the symphony would be there after the show and invited anyone attending to go. I am glad we did. The Met is a restaurant located in what was once the Metropolitan Bank of Lima OH, you can actually see some pieces of what the bank was still inside the restaurant. It is beautiful decorated. The wait was almost non-existent as we were immediately taken to a table. Our server was friendly and patient as we had never been to the restaurant before and it took us a while to peruse the drink and food menus. I was the only one who decided to have an adult beverage as both my brother and my mom got sodas. I, on the other hand, got the espresso martini. It was magnificent. As much as I loved my drink, the food was the star of the show. We started off with some soup/chili. My mom got some chicken soup, while my brother and I both ordered some chili. It was a cold night, and we needed the warmth of those dishes! The chili was flavorful, not too spicy though. My mom adored the chicken soup! Said it was fantastic! For our main courses: my mother ordered the chicken salad croissant with fries, my brother ordered the met tavern burger with a sunny-side up egg and fries, while I ordered the Chicago sausage extravaganza. The food was delectable. Fair warning, the dishes are large and hearty! These will fill you up! Heck, they were so large known of us could eat it all! Coming with a big appetite. By the end of our meal, we were too full for dessert, which is a shame because some of them were very tempting! After we were done, my family and I got to meet the conductor of the symphony and talk to him a bit along with some members of the orchestra. He is a super approachable person, and incredibly talented! Love that he does this and appears here after a show. It was a perfect end to a perfect evening! If you have not been to The Met, you are missing out!

Fun place with great atmosphere, attention to decoration details and lovely staff. My tacos were not good - overcooked disasters really - but I still would go back because of all the other greatness and wonderful cocktails During the winter menu, get the meatloaf. It's amazing. And I never say that about meatloaf

Exceptional! Everything about this restaurant is delightful. The ambiance, the staff, the drinks, the FOOD! Never have had gnocchi so fresh and so delicious! Wish I wasn't just passing through...‍

If there was a choice, I would give this place 4 1/2 stars. Charming old building, friendly atmosphere, very nice wait staff. Food was good too and modestly priced. My husband had the brisket sandwich - piled high with well seasoned shredded brisket ( he doesn't like slabs) and crispy fries. I had the spicy shrimp tacos in lettuce wraps with a Met salad side. Very good. I was impressed by the excellent large cup of decaf coffee. Rarely do you get good decaf in a restaurant. On our way to a show, and will have plenty of time to get there.

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!

They stated they had air conditioning upon reserving the room, they may have one mini split hanging on the wall but it makes 0 difference in the summer. I, 7 months pregnant was beyond uncomfortable and my guests were also very uncomfortable. We had to bring our own fans to the event to get some relief. Another thing, when we were setting up we asked to fill up our water pitcher and the staff working told us no, we couldn't use their tap water.. so someone had to go panic buy jugs of water at the store right before the party started. Would NOT recommending renting this room in the summer time unless you want to have an event in a room that feels like a sauna.

Place is super cute and the wine bar is set up like most. You walk in, they have lots of seating, they have a gift shop, a bar tasting area, and an outdoor area. We tried all the available whites by the glass. The Pinot Blanc was our favorite. So much so we ordered a bottle to go. The Riesling and rose were a close second favorite. Chardonnay was good too but it's buttery so maybe better suited (for me) in the colder season. Today was a hot day out. Ohhhh and the chocolate red wine tasted like a tootsie roll pop! So here's the deal- you can order flights of wine for $12 or you can create your own 1 ounce flight tastings for $1 each pour. We did the white flight and then ordered our 1 ounce pours of the other whites. Food- we had the chocolate, the small cheese board (not small, but a good serving size), and the hummus. Manager- my only recommendations: 1) Hummus app- use real cut carrots. Not the processed baby carrots 2) Sauvignon Blanc- use the one from New Zealand for the flight tasting.
