Lighthouse Cafe - Half order of the boneless Hot honey BBQ wings - Cafes Near Me - Piqua, Ohio

We sat on the patio and the area was very clean and inviting. We ordered the beef Rueben Sandwich. The corned beef was cut so thick that we couldn't bite it and it was tough. The rye bread, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut were cooked perfectly. It was sad that the meat was so thick and tough that we pulled it out of the sandwich and cut it and ate it with a knife and fork. I guess we just picked the wrong menu item. This was our first time here, and we probably won't go back. read more

Found this local cafe on a rainy Saturday morning. So glad we did. Great food and service.

My husband had the Reuben cheeseburger--he raved about how tasty this was; I had the fish sandwich-tasty, and double the size anywhere in the area I've had the pleasure of eating. Service was prompt, courteous and attentive. read more

Food was incredible. Big portions for great prices and the waitress was so nice and attentive. We stopped in while traveling through for a wedding event. read more

Well repeated our last order! French toast, hash browns & bacon for me! I did add sausage gravy this time. It was very good! So far, I can't find a thing wrong here at all! Hubby repeated mush, eggs & sausage. Wheat bread toast, very very good! I ate one of his! read more

Will never leave a good review when the staff has attitude issues. We sat by the kitchen and was amazed at the tone and language used by the kitchen staff. I ordered a drink and asked if that was the only size, reply was "you get what you pay for." Really? On top of that, our order wasn't correct. By that time we were ready to leave and just left. Never going back read more

All the employees are friendly the service is fast they check on you quiet often wished they had longer hours

Quick service and friendly staff. The club sandwich and Reuben were delicious. Good hot fries are always a plus! We went on a cold sloppy day and they were keeping up with wet and salty floors. Safety first. read more

Very good. We had the Garys Special. The pancakes are very fluffy, eggs cooked to perfections and the hash browns were perfect.

Pancakes taste weird and nasty. Eggs fried in grease. Home fries are tough... Pancakes taste weird and nasty. Eggs fried in grease. Home fries are tough... Pancakes taste weird and nasty. Eggs fried in grease. Home fries are tough... read more

Excellent food. Nice updated and clean. Glad we stopped. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the crispy bacon

Whenever in Pique, you got to go to the Lighthouse cafe. This is the type of place that makes you sit and ponder about the why anyone would ever go to a popular chain breakfast establishment like IHOP. read more

What a hidden gem! Was in town for business and decided to drop in for lunch. Ended up ordering breakfast instead, getting the 2 egg Sailor omelette and a single biscuit and gravy. The omelette, larger than most 3 egg omelettes that I've had, was excellent! However, the biscuit and gravy stole the show, it was to die for. On top of everything else the service was top notch! If you're ever in Piqua, OH, look this place up. You won't be sorry. read more

My husband and I live the lighthouse Cafe.... Staff is friendly, food is delicious, no matter what you get! You definitely won't leave feeling hungry read more

The Lighthouse is now The Lighthouse at the Lock. It was recently purchased by a local resident and businessman. The restaurant has been completely remodeled and updated with a warm, beach motif. The original Lighthouse Cafe (Old Canal Place) was a wonderful place to eat with great food and exceptional service. The new Lighthouse at the Lock does not disappoint. The cafe has an expanded menu featuring breakfast, lunch, dinner and now offers liquid libations (adult beverages). The chef inspired fare is excellent, served with complimentary, homemade pork rinds, which were warm and tasty. The menu includes appetizers, burgers, wraps, wings, pasta, homemade desserts and more. A Lenten special is also offered which was excellent. The ice cold beer was served in a refreshing, frosted glass. Service was very good, prompt and accurate. Adam did a wonderful job making us feel at home. I definitely encourage you to visit Lighthouse at the Lock...you'll be glad you did. read more

Tenderloin was super thin and fried in old oil. Would not go there again, very disappointed.

They don't like to cook eggs until the whites are cooked. They leave the whites runny. Other than that the food is good. Not heathy but people do not go there to eat healthy foods. read more

Great down home, diner... Awesome biscuits, & gravy! As well as fried potatoes! Great atmosphere staff was friendly prices are fantastic... Genuinely enjoyed myself read more

I asked if I could sit down and order food and a person seated near the door turned me away. She said, "We don't do that here." I thought they served food here. I will never return. read more

Everything is good but the fried tenderloin is exceptional. Theit prices are more than reasonable and the service is outstanding.

We were in town for a friends wedding the previous night so when we woke up and wanted breakfast I turned to Yelp for a suggestion and the Lighthouse Cafe came up and off we went for breakfast. The lighthouse cafe is in downtown Piqua with plenty of parking in the lot next door or on street. We walked right in and asked if we sat ourselves or if we should wait to be seated the cashier mentioned it was seat yourself. After finding a table we were greeted promptly by our waitress whom took our drink order and let us have a few minutes to peruse the menu. We decided on the Pat's Mess and Gary's Special. The Pat's Mess was homefries, sausage, mushrooms, onions and eggs and also toast and gravy. The Gary special was 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, home fries order of bacon and toast. Everything was very good and met my expectations for a locally owned greasy spoon. If in Piqua check out the Lighthouse Cafe read more

First timer. Stopped in here on the way home from Indian Lake and was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and friendly and the food was very good. I had "Pat's Mess" and though it did look like a mess on the plate, it was absolutely delicious! Scrambled eggs, sausage, onions, home fries, cheese, all covered in gravy. OH MY. Goodbye diet! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lighthouse-Cafe/115595295129744 This was an amazing place for Breakfast. Breakfast is open till 12 noon on a Saturday. I was on the Holly-Jolly 5k Speedy feet racing yesterday - December 6'2014 Saturday. After a 3.5 mile run, this place was amazing to have a GREAT breakfast. Gary -owner and his wife Pat - they go way beyond to do good service. They really care for customers. They come and ask what would you like to have. They made an Amazing Veggie Omlette- outstanding one....and they give Potato fry they make in South india as a vegetable fried one- i was touched... he comes also asks if we can do anything more. his wie Mrs.Pat takes care as soon as we enter, she comes to the table to get the drinks right away- Very hard working, sincere -good place to check out in downtown Piqua, Ohio. read more

The theme of all who post reviews here are that this is a mom and pop friendly staff down home kinda place. I agree. I'm in town for an early morning meeting, I looked to Yelp to find me a breakfast place. I'm glad I chose The Lighthouse Cafe. The menu that is posted on Yelp is very different than the one I was presented here, so I was initially disappointed. The lovely waitress pointed me in the direction of the French toast, delightful. The portion size was very reasonable. Not too large, which I appreciate very much. I need to come back another time to try their lunch menu. read more

The worlds best French toast! I'm not kidding, I'm not sure what they do but this French toast is the epitome of home cooked comfort food. And the French fries..... yum!!! I love this place! read more

This place is not a fashion statement type of place, but the atmosphere is small town all the way. Listen to people greet each other by first name. Food is freshly prepared. I have had 2 breakfasts there, and have yet to be disappointed by any of the eats. read more

I stopped in here with my family after my sons basketball game. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted with a friendly staff and told we could sit anywhere we liked. The place has a cozy small town feel! We were waited on immediately upon sitting down. The waitress was super friendly and was very patient while my 5 year old son ordered. Your coffee cup never goes dry without getting a refill! The staff is bustling around and taking care of the patrons. Our food came out super fast. What's great about this place that I noticed is the staff works as a team! The food was delicious and very affordable. Great atmosphere too! I'm so glad my family found this little gem. Keep doing whatever your doing, you guys truly stand out! We will definitely be back read more

Best biscuit and sausage biscuit in the county! Looks like a local breakfast and lunch restaurant. And u know locals know where to go!

This is one happy place! My husband and I like to leave the interstates when we travel. We were on 75 going through Ohio, saw an exit for Piqua (never heard of it) and decided to go to downtown. That's where the gems usually are! Found the Lighthouse Cafe. The chatter between staff and customers was happy and positive. Everyone was laughing, complimenting each other, even the cook was singing the whole time! He has a great voice, by the way! Oh, yeah, the food was great, too! If you need a happy experience, stop by this feel good cafe. You will leave smiling! read more
