I went Great Stone Castle and Spa for a solo Birthday get away. A gift from my husband. The building itself is beautiful and the history was everywhere. Walking into the castle felt like walking into the 90s with the decor and homey feel. I enjoyed walking around and looking at all of woodwork,decor, and pictures The hosts were very kind and welcoming. I had an hour relaxation massage and hand and foot scrub. Very relaxing and just what this tired Mom needed. The Brighton room was cozy and peaceful, the bed very comfortable. I had peace and quiet and that was just what I was looking for. To top it off, I had ordered food delivery and after 2 -1/2 hour wait it never came and I had no dinner. One of the hosts, Jerome found me and I explained and he insisted on making sure I was fed and heated me up a steak and fried potatoes. I was so grateful and it was delicious and way better than the delivery that never came. In the morning I was fed the fluffiest Griddle pancake that was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside served with honey vanilla butter sauce and maple syrup. I also had cheesy eggs toast and sausage. It was all fantastic! I had to take half home it was so filling. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing night away. Gorgeous property with absolutely stellar spa services. My husband surprised me with a spa day here and I was totally blown away. I was a bit hesitant, because, to be honest, the decor in the mansion is a bit outdated. Still beautiful, but slightly cluttered. But the spa services were absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. The facial, body wraps, scrubs, and massages were all A+. Owners were very sweet and accommodating and the food was good. I would drive up from Cincinnati any time for a massage from Randi! read more

My daughters, Sarah and Theresa, and I have stayed at the Great Stone Castle for the last three years for a weekend girls' getaway. We love it!! Andrea and Jerome are wonderful and attentive. Callie, Belle, and Winston steal the show. The spa services are fabulous too. We do the full body massage, facial, full body scrub and hand foot treatments. The owner is unfriendly and the clock kept me up all night. Would not stay here again and would definitely not recommend having an event here. They are respectful until they take your money. Do not expect any apologies for poor behavior or services either. read more

Had a romantic getaway here this past week. We stayed at both the castle and lodge (once it was available). First of all, the castle is absolutely gorgeous. It had a beautiful, rustic Victorian quality to it. Very decorated in a Southern-like charm. The staff was insanely attentive, helpful, and very inviting, specifically Christa. She and Elizabeth were absolutely amazing. The bed-and-breakfast included a made-to-order breakfast, a closet filled with board games and movies in case of rainy days, a library of books, and a supply of toiletry items which I found to be completely thoughtful because they were very specific and not many places would think to carry them (in my experience. Especially, thank you for nail polish remover!). Overall, the castle had such a relaxing New Orleans feel to it, from the decorations and even the layout of the mansion. It was so comfortable and very much felt like "home." We ventured to the lodge, which make sure that you book early as it seems to be a pretty popular place. Nonetheless, it's AMAAAAAAAZZIIIIINNGGGG. It was a bit hard to find at first, but is in a gorgeous remote, farming area. The cabin sits on a lake with plenty of woodsy forest that surrounds it. There is plenty of space to do a number of outdoor activities, whether it's volleyball, frisbee, fishing or whatever. The company that hosts it also makes sure to provide breakfast during your stay (thank you!). Definitely wished we could have stayed longer. The only setback that we had of the entire experience was that the Internet was a bit shaky. Well, the wifi at the castle said that we were connected but never worked. And the lodge doesn't provide any internet at all. So it makes it a little difficult to connect to Netflix on the smart tv provided unless you have an endless data plan with your mobile carrier. Otherwise, the Sidney/Piqua/Celina area is very cute. Make sure to do some research beforehand to find some things to do if you want to go outdoors. My brother had his wedding here. This place is nice! Everything looked great. No problems with the temperature, the bathroom, or anything like that. I parked a bit of a way down the street on Beech I think. Yeah, the interior looks as good as the exterior. Definitely recommend. read more

My boyfriend and I just stayed at Greatstone Castle and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff was very attentive and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was willing to answer all our questions about the history of the mansion and had a lot of very interesting information. We had such a great time, Greatstone was perfect for the quiet get away my boyfriend and I were looking for. Sadly, we hadn't planned enough time to take advantage of the spa. I was allowed to walk through though and that will definitely be on our to do list for our next stay. read more

I held a memorial service for my mother here and everything was handled perfectly. There was valet parking which worked great and the entrance monitored to help guests with coats and such. They even helped suggesting caterers which were also wonderful. The castle was decorated for Christmas so it was Beautiful and my guests were allowed to tour the entire facility. I received many compliments when I actually didn't do anything...always nice. Highly recommend! read more
