They really need to pave a path and maybe consider additional facilities for the number of people attending. I had called prior to attending the event and was told the wheelchair would work, but for us, it did not. Also the pathway to the bathrooms was not covered and it was raining, so those needing to go got soaked.. improvements would be nice. Definitely not handicap friendly.

Our guests were very impressed also. Because the flowers are so lovely, we were able to go very simple on our own decor. Most of the vases, etc that we used came from the "shed" on the grounds that can be borrowed from and is included with the venue. We got hit with thunderstorms about 45 minutes before the ceremony, and had to do a little scrambling. But the staff was right on top of things and Lisa told us if we could delay starting for 15 minutes, they would have the chairs dried off and the reception area mopped up (some rain came in under the curtains on the sides). The cloud passed, and we were able to have a gorgeous ceremony outside as planned. Lisa and Justin worked it out that I could come tour the grounds with my daughter on an off day a few weeks before the wedding, as I live out of state and had not been able to tour the venue earlier. Our caterer and DJ had done events there previously, so they seemed very comfortable. It was a wonderful day!

Wish we could have tried the salads, burgers, and pizza! We appreciated that they were open almost all day (8AM-12AM on Saturdays). Note that they are CLOSED Sunday which is kind of sad if you're wanting coffee or brunch. We appreciated that they were kid-friendly, as well. This makes a stay in Downtown Springfield legitimately appealing and it's a refreshing place to visit and mingle while supporting small businesses after this past year.

We had excellent communication from management. The contract was concise & easy to understand. There were clear guidelines, & a few rules to follow in order to keep the antique barn safe from open flames, etc. We were happy to follow their rules. They also helped us choose additional amenities based on what is popular at events nowadays. The photo booth was a big hit! They provided table coverings, and arranged tables as we requested. The managers also gave us excellent advice & input, and we relied a lot on their expertise to help in planning. Everything was done exactly per our arrangements on the day of the event. We brought in our own food & servers, but hired their bartender. We only served pop, tea, lemonade & water - no alcohol since this was a high school graduation party. With the bill split 3 ways it was an INCREDIBLY affordable event! Even if we had to go alone, the pricing was extremely competitive. We thought it was a perfect "Ohio theme" to have the party in a barn, & the round design is quaint & unique.

WOW! I've visited this barn for a family wedding over the summer. My extended family approached my…read moreimmediate family asking us if we would at least hand the wedding knowing that it was about an hour and a half away from Cincinnati. Of course, we could not say no! Not knowing what to expect, we made the drive to this rustic barn in Piqua, Ohio. What a surprise! A Saturday wedding took place at 4:30 in the afternoon. Before the ceremony started, we were able to go inside of the barn for some shade. It was truly appreciated, as there were several older people in attendance. It was over 90°, so it made for a very hot outdoor wedding! The ceremony just outside the barn was beautiful and quaint. I read online that the facility could hold a guest list of 250 people. The outdoor venue where the ceremony was held looked small enough to be considered quaint, but I really do believe 250 people could have sat on those benches outside, if needed. The two-story barn was quite large, as it had an area for a bar, the wedding table for the bridal party, about 26 round tables with eight chairs each, and a loft area complete with a photo booth and additional smaller tables, if needed. There were nice bathrooms on the first floor, with three stalls in the women's room. Large enough for people to get in and out, as well as cleaner than a horse stable or portalet (phew!). If you look online, it looks like the couple who owns this used to be in an event planning company. It looks like the barn is situated on an old Homestead, as the house is where the bridal party gets ready. There is even an additional older looking barn that the men can hang out in while the girls get ready. There is a parking lot next to the field where the couple gets married, but a field of sunflowers attempts to block away the row of cars in the lot. Honestly, I left this venue thinking I should get into the event planning industry! If you look online, the couple is pretty honest about their rates. It looks like it is about $3500 for a Saturday late afternoon wedding and $2500 for a Friday night or Sunday afternoon. Of course, that is just the barn rental. I am sure that anything additional would cost more. Wonderful venue!! Just know there is not air condition in the barn. We really appreciated all the fans!!
