I love eating in New Haven because I grew up there. Manny's was pretty good. Unfortunately, there aren't many front parking spots, but I think they have a side area. It's decent-sized once you get in, plus they have an extra party room. We went there on my birthday, which was kind of a letdown. My friend ordered the corned beef and cabbage, which I also ordered. But the waitress talked me out of it and told me I should order the enchiladas so I could share. So I did, but I told her absolutely no onions because I am allergic to them. I started eating my enchilada and pulled out a huge onion and then like ten more. After pulling out all the onions I couldn't eat, there was barely any meat, so I was basically eating tortilla in sauce. I told our waitress and she apologized and told me that she told the cook no onions. I told her not to worry about it. My friend's corned beef and cabbage was good. The corned beef was a huge portion and cooked perfectly, but the cabbage was a little overcooked. Our waitress was very nice, but did not offer to take my meal off the bill, so I paid for something that could have harmed me. For $38, I was really hoping for a better experience and food, but I am willing to give it another try someday because they have such a huge menu. Next time, I think I will try their biscuits and gravy.

Manny's is the definition of a local "hole in the wall" joint, but in the best way! The aesthetic or "vibe" isn't going to wow you, but honestly I don't think they care! Lol! It's welcoming, but no frills and they aren't trying to keep up with current trends. They are down home and raw folks who serve up hot coffee, warm smiles, and good food that makes people feel more like family than customers. I ordered the Manny Omelette with American fries. The omelette was loaded and filled with savory sausage, bacon, and fresh veggies. The "American fries" were really like home fried potatoes, but the extra crispy was perfect and reminded me of morning breakfasts with my grandpa. The coffee was hot and my server made sure it was always full. Overall a great local spot that will make you feel the same!

It was our first time going to Manny's dream restaurant tonight for dinner. It has a great atmosphere and all of the employees are super nice. There are many different good options on the menu at excellent prices. You get large portions of food with all fresh ingredients. All of the food that we got came out of the kitchen fast and hot. If you are looking for a great place to eat that has family values. Check out Manny's dream restaurant. We will definitely be back to have some more great tasting food!

Omelettes and skillets!

Good food, reminiscent of what we used to have locally, but this is open for dinner too! Not on Sundays, Sundays they close at 1pm. The food was good, served quickly and to order. They have cholula, the "good" ice and plenty of tables. Glad to have this new spot open. Can't wait to try it for dinner.

Great food & service! Love that it's a family owned & operated business. Great variety of food but still a small town feel!

I was confused that the sauce options were not on the menu. However the kind bartender gave me an 8 pack of sauces to try. I found that the Carolina mustard sauce was my favorite. Very mild in spice. The consistency was also thin so it had trouble sticking to the wing. A slight mustard taste that accented the crispy fried skins nicely. This order had 10 nicely sized wings. The wing was was cooked perfectly - no pink on the inside. The skin was nicely crisp without being crunchy. Extra crispy wings have never been my favorite. However, Rack & Hellen's did an incredible job with these wings! I loved the onions rings. A large-thick piece of onion with a thick batter. The batter was moderately crispy but a bit oily to taste. Definitely recommend! The mac salad was very good. They use a larger shell along with egg and possibly onion. The mayo is pretty heavy. However the dish was pretty tasty! On this occasion I sat at the bar. The place was busy. There were plenty of servers hustling and helping each other. The bartenders were very kind and friendly. I was pleased that the food came out rather quickly!

We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.
