I really wanted to like this place. Have been there a couple of times & each time it was disappointing. Firstly, the set-up is chaotic with multiple lines forming, people milling around & no clear direction on where to place the order. Is it at the front registers? At the kiosks? At the ice cream or bakery case? The drinks. It would be helpful to have descriptions of the different drinks. For example, what's a Paradise tea? Each time we've been there, the drinks were inconsistently made. Tonight there was confusion behind the counter as I saw my 1 drink being passed back & forth between 3 people at different steps of the process. Why the confusion?? Weren't they trained? The mango yogurt drink was supposed to come with boba...& we didn't get any boba. My Avocado Paradise Tea for some strange reason had salted mixed nuts on top of the whipped cream. That wouldn't be a pleasant surprise to suck thru my boba straw. There also needed to be a warning label for nut allergies because who on earth expects salted almonds and peanuts on their Paradise Tea?!?! Picking up the drinks was another fiasco. They place the completed drinks on the counter next to the register and condiments. While they do call out the order # & name, the person that they had doing so, looked down and mumbled behind her face mask. No one heard her. As a result, multiple people came up along picked up the drinks to see if it was their order. With covid still around, I personally don't want extra people handling my drinks & food. Food - The Mille crepe cakes are just meh. The matcha one had decent flavor but the mango one clearly lacked mango flavor. It was also very pricey at $6.99 for what you get. The self service pastries are all just ok...nothing spectacular. There were also some mystery pastries on the front counter. They were packaged but had absolutely no labeling on them. Not a fan & not my choice to come here since there are better options and better run establishments. read more

I really wanted to like it. It's fancy, the decor is nice, the space is spacious and the desserts on display look amazing! But when we went, service was super slow, not very friendly and the boba was disappointing. So, I ordered their cocoa paradise that was on their special menu at the counter. The girl who took my order wasn't the friendliest and it ended up taking over 20 mins for my boba drink to be ready. And then when I did get my boba drink, the boba was so hot that it made my cold drink not so cold but rather lukewarm. Not ideal. Plus, the boba was over cooked and just mushy. Maybe their non-boba drinks are better? I bought a few bakery items from them but wasn't that impressed. Honestly, I've made better milk bread at home. Might I also mention that I went when it was not very busy so I was really surprised it took so long to get my drink. My friend got a milk tea with boba and her order took just as long as my "special" drink. So, definitely not a place to grab a drink on the go. I'll have to pass on their boba drinks next time I come. Instead I'll have to try their dessert pastries, which looked good on display, and perhaps just a simple hot tea to go along with my pastry. Are you missing that little something that you grew up loving but moved out and been looking for that nostalgic place in your new place? Well, this place was like that for me. When I saw the pictures on Facebook about how the pastries look like, I knew I had to explore. Getting to the location was easy and I love that there's plenty of parking, the building is gorgeous and it has a tasteful design in shrubbery. What appealed to me the most is the fact that you can serve yourself baked goodies, the price of the pastries, and the generous size! If you haven't seen them, you need to!!! I love the Asian flavours that they offer among the traditional too. I normally cook my own pandan and ube flavour pastries but it is very refreshing to see these being sold. Another additional one is the durian. I had to try it since I don't like to cut it fresh. The dough was fluffy, the durian cream was light and creamy. My girls got the chocolate pastry with chocolate cream and Oreo. The dough is the same, light and fluffy and the cream is chocolatey, light and creamy. The best part of the pastry is the fact that it is not too sweet! I also got additional pastries to try later. I can't wait to dig my teeth into them. I love that this establishment reminds me of my hometown Chinatown pastries. We also had the bubble teas, milk tea, milk cap and milkshakes. Everything was fresh and delicious! I got the milk tea Yeu Yeung cold with bubbles and herbal jelly. My girls got a mango with milk cap with bubbles and jelly, chocolate milkshake and rainbow sherbet milkshake. This is a really neat spot so I'm glad we checked it out. Unfortunately we got there around 12:30 and most of the pastries were gone so it left us with very limited options. There is a dessert case as well for cold desserts but it was pretty crowded so it was hard to see while we were there. This place is easy on the eyes and offers deletable desserts and pastries. My daughter enjoyed being able to select her own pastries; perhaps I let her go overboard in the selections. I'm happy to say that I finally got to see this place at its best... well stocked, and hopping with a ton of customers! I stopped in mid-day, around 2:30 pm, and there was a good number of customers scattered throughout this lofty cafe. Just as I remembered, the place is totally cool, chic and modern...and unlike last time, they were stocked with plenty of impressive pastries! Most impressive of all? They had a variety of Mille Crepe Cakes!!! These are one of many innovative Japanese desserts that I've been lusting over lately... Well, I tried their Matcha version...and it was DEE-Lish! A tad creamier than the version I had in Duluth...but not as thick and glutinous as I had feared. I also bought several luscious pastry items to go (haven't tried these as of yet, but they're boxed up to eat when I return home tomorrow). As for the drink, I also decided to repeat this "Orchid Oolong" Milk Tea with Boba...AMAZING flavor! So I've only tried this one flavor, but I sense that this place makes damn-good flavored teas. Service is really good here. Friendly and helpful...but i did notice that service tends to be slow here. Just like last time I was here, the tea making process is achingly slow. At least 10 minutes...if not more? However, everything is SO fresh...and SO delicious, it's worth it. After today's visit, I'm definitely a fan...and am glad I can easily up my ratings to 5 stars. I live in va where there is 2 other locations. This one is the original. It's pretty big compare to the other 2. Everything is very consistent with all locations. This one does have ice cream and milkshake which the others don't have. We didn't care do the strawberry milkshake instead we recommend the strawberry paradise. Beautiful place with aesthetic interiors, as well as drinks and desserts. As for the taste, it's pretty average. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. I got the matcha crepe cake, which barely had a matcha taste. The crepe layers and the icing/cream in between the layers were too dense and got too overwhelming to eat in one sitting. I also got the matcha purple potato drink with boba. Their boba was really good - cooked to perfection, soft but chewy, and sweet. I could actually taste the matcha and the purple potato. I wish the purple potato was blended more because there were hard chunks and towards the end, some of the purple potato couldn't even fit through the straw for me to drink. It seems like a good place to study/do work, but the desserts/drinks are a bit pricey given the taste. read more

I had dinner with a friend last night and wanted dessert. I was craving boba and this was the closest place that wasn't going to close in 5 minutes lol. It's such a cute place with a calming aesthetic. It's a bakery and Cafe so they had a lot of different baked good options and cakes. Everything looked so delicious. It was about 30 minutes until closing so I feel like a lot of bread options were missing but what was there still looked delicious. I'm a chocolate girlie so I had to get a slice of mousse cake. I took it home to share with my daughter and she was fighting me for it ! She doesn't care for nuts but I LOVE almond so believe me I ate those. The cake itself was so rich and creamy and soft. I love mousse more than anything and it just melted in your mouth. It was such a deep chocolate flavor (I believe it was dark chocolate) but it was delicious. Best way to end my night. I paired it with my favorite bubble tea. I always get brown sugar milk tea and it was the perfect match for my cake. It was sweet and creamy. I don't care for boba too much so I left the pearls out. If you are in cary and love this type of scenery and baked deliciousness, try them out. I should have tried the matcha mousse cake but definitely next time! Friends picked this up for us as desert for after dinner. I thought the presentation was amazing. The plant motif was really spot on and for a second I really did think it was a plant. The custard was ok but it could be due to the fact we went towards the end of the day it just seemed tired. Flavor wise generally ok and not too sweet. We were able to pick up food quickly, but the line was not moving at all. They seemed understaffed for Saturday crowd. Once they had two cashier's the line seemed to move fast. The tea was a 5-10 min wait, but at least at that point we could sit down and eat our delicious pastries. We were able to get 7 pastries and 3 boba teas for under $50 which I consider a win. The pastries were very scrumptious our favorites were the curry bun, scallion, and mango danish for the sweet taste buds. Would come again on an off day. Coming from northern VA... we have these type of places everywhere and I can safely say..... it's as good as and even better than most spots found in the Northern VA area. Yes shocking that this can be found here in Cary NC .. Definitely give the durian flavored desserts a try! They arent over powering and doesnt have the awful smell associated with fresh durian! Instead it has a rich sweet flavor which you get from fresh durian minus the smell :-) So if you always wanted to try durian but was scared ... this is a place to try it in their desserts! They have so many to choose from including their egg tarts! But go early for the egg tarts cause they sell out fast ! The rest of their desserts are amazing also and so are their drinks! The place had a wonderful ambience and was big and roomy! I got the Yuen Using milk tea with herbal jelly and my friend got the same but with Boba. Somehow our order was a bit of a mixup where we both got herbal jelly and boba. The milk tea portion was good however. We also got to try their matcha crepe, mango crepe, and assorted buns. Matcha crepe could be a little sweeter to balance off the bitterness of the Matcha on top in my opinion. This bakery is so beautiful and clean! The place is very spacious and decorated nicely with cute lights, seating, and plants. The place is also great spot for pictures! The way everything is set up is super beautiful and I love the way the food is set up. It's inside a glass case so you can't touch it and have to ask a staff member to put it on a tray for you where you then pay for it and can get it heated up. I got at least 10 things, I wish I remembered to take pictures of everything but I took pics of the selection instead so that will do. Things I really liked: the cheese bread, the chicken curry donut, the tuna and cheese bread, and the veggie bun. I'm a big fan of cheese as you can see. Their cappuccino and taro milk tea was super delicious as well. I would honestly try all their drinks because I'm sure they're all amazing. You can get different flavors and toppings while getting them hot or cold. (See menu pictures attached) I definitely have so much more things in mind I want to get like the matcha bun, stuffed coconut pastry, and corn bun but I'll be back for an updated review. I got the Boba Taro Milk Latte and absolutely hated it. It was actual taro, blended thick mush (puréed) so it can be mixed into the drink. Because of how thick the mush and chunky it is, it was hard to mix in homogeneously. The only sweet we got was the Mango Mille Crepe and it was okay. We would pass on it the next time. Oh heavens! I found my new favorite bakery!! We were driving by and the word bakery caught the corner of my eye so I made a u-turn and stopped in. Tried a slew of things. Finding a large bakery or pastry shop in the RDU area is a bit complicated, but I finally discovered this gem that for some odd reason never crossed my path. They are classified as a Bubble Tea Shop / Baking Studio, but I feel like it's so much more...its an experience from start to finish. Ample parking outside, and you walk into a very white decor...yes, heaven! You walk to the left to clear glass cases with both sweet and savory goodies. You grab a tray and plates and start filling up. Walk a little further to the right and more delicious desserts await (oh and there is ice cream / milkshakes). Once your plates are full, head to the counter and check-out. You can eat in the large indoor or outdoor seating areas. Whatever is leftover, and I guarantee you will have leftovers, ask for a box and take the awesomeness home. The staff is friendly, but if anything, they could do a better job proactively helping guide customers that look lost...because this is a unique process. There are signs but it's a bit overwhelming. That's a minor challenge though, don't let it deter you. Next time I go here, I plan to be hangry...bring it on! read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting but it's not what I got. I was given dozens of impossible choices to choose from. I went with my fiancé and great friend and the tray quickly became laden with a selection of 1/2 dozen treats. When taking the pastry from the case I assumed that the pastry was just like every other I've ever had, heavy and dense. Boy was I glad to be wrong. My first bite was like biting into a cloud, pure heaven. Then there's the drinks. The peach rose cold tea was fantastic (I had to get two) and I got two each time we went (four times in three days). It feels very cozy when you first walk in. The cafe is very clean and spacious. The color scheme compliments one another. The strawberry danish was really soft and creamy, the taro bun was a bit on the drier side, and the durian bread definitely had a strong durian taste, but it was fluffy and good. This was great!! We went on my birthday and I was overwhelmed with choices. Everything looked so beautiful and well kept in the displays. It was hard not to grab one of everything. Honestly the bread case is enough for me but there is also a little dessert case. You pick your own breads with clean tongs but ask for the desserts. Then they box it up for you at the register and that is where you can order the drinks. I got a fruit tea that was super refreshing! It was the passion fruit one. Now, I haven't been to the actual location so I can't speak much to the dine-in experience. My friend brought back a slice of matcha mille crepe cake (抹茶千层) for me to try, and I LOVED it . The crepe to cream ratio was perfect. The crepe layers didn't dissolve in the moist, whipped cream. The cake was sweet but subdued enough to taste the nutty, earthy, and slightly bitter matcha flavor. And can we talk about the presentation? Such a great spot with delightful Asian-style pastries, milk teas and coffees, and American style ice cream (the mint choc chip seriously tastes like Andes mints and is so good) but they don't have the durian crepe cake anymore! I came here with 20 people after a church event to have some desserts. The space is very large and the staff was extremely accommodating. The selection was nice as well. There's bread, cake, boba, icecream, etc. so there's something for everyone! There's plenty of seating and is perfect for taking a large group to hang out in the evening. It's also beautifully decorated and there's plenty of parking. They also offered a private room that you can book for a small fee which we didn't end up needing.
