I've tried some of their pastries in the past and they were pretty average. Perhaps they are fresher in the morning, but when I've had them they're on the brink of becoming stale and dry. On the plus, they do look amazing and the inside is very open and spacious. The staff were friendly but I didn't know I could heat up the food until a friend told me. I've gotten a too good to go box from here and the staff took a while to acknowledge me, despite not being busy and coming at the requested time. It turns out they didn't know what the program was and also didn't have anything prepared. When I did get my box ready, it was all one item despite having multiple types left in the case, and only 4 small rolls. I know I wasn't my choice when I chose a too good to go option but some variety would have been nice. The sparkling tea was okay, but I think a little overpriced for how much ice and the flavor. There wasn't much carbonation and also not strong enough strawberry flavor for what I was expecting. It was very refreshing but you could finish it within just a few sips. The jelly was good, but hard to get to through the ice once you sip down the tea. Overall, very nice aesthetic and cute, but the drinks are a little overpriced and the pastries are just okay and hit or miss. The customer service is average and sometimes a little disappointing. I would come back to try some of the pastries others have recommended earlier in the morning.
My coffee drink quest brought me here and I had a delicious coffee crush! I wanted a pastry but I didn't get one be side they weee so huge and I decided to wait til someone went with me to share, however they are all gorgeous and I look forward to going back. This is in a location with plenty of parking and plenty of room in a wide open space. Will definitely go back for another coffee crush and maybe pastry!
What a lovely place to meet up with friends, study or work or simply pause during the day! I met a friend at 3:30 in the afternoon and the parking lot was almost full - fortunately, they have lots of seating! Our lattes were really good but what I really liked were the help yourself pastry cases. Simply pick up a tray, select what you'd like, and take it up to the counter to pay. Can't wait to go back!
Definitely a top spot to grab a sweet treat when I'm in Cary! I'm a fan of both their boba & pastries. This time, we got the Boba Brown Sugar Matcha Latte (could definitely taste the matcha, which was great) & the Tiramisu Paradise (which was my favorite). Also tried a walnut pistachio bread (the best pastry I've had in a long time!), ube bun (loved how strong the ube flavor was), and an Oreo bun. The ambiance is really nice: lots of tables, actually seems like a good place to study. Really big parking lot. Service is fast & very nice: I belatedly realized that I'd said the wrong thing for my sister's drink order, and they were happy to add matcha to a drink that was already made, which was so appreciated! 10/10 would recommend!
I stopped by Brecotea with a few friends on a Saturday night when we were craving something sweet after dinner. I was surprised by how spacious it was--tons of seating, and it seems like a great place to hang out or even get some work done during the day. Since we showed up later in the evening, a lot of the pastries were already gone, so we didn't get to see the full variety. I grabbed a slice of the mango cake, and it was really good--super light and not overly sweet. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll try to come earlier to check out more of their selection!
Brecotea is an Asian style bakery & cafe that serves asian style desserts (lighter and less sweet) and drinks. Upon entering you'll see the counter where you can order drinks and special cakes and if you look left you'll see the desserts in a glass window where they are self-serve. There is lots of seating if you choose to dine inside. I haven't tried any of the drinks before but lots of them look pretty good. You can order via their website which is what I did. I also picked up a Too Good To Go order. The service is pretty good and the inside feels comfortable and cozy but a lot of the desserts are hit or miss. The bread doesn't feel very light, airy, or spongy as you'd find with other asian style bakeries and their breads and buns. The bread and buns at Brecotea feel more bready and a bit more dense. The hours here are very good as they're open until 9:30p or so.
I had a sweet tooth and stopped in on a Saturday for some items to go. It was busy, as usual. I opted for a slice of the Black Forest cake and the ube and red bean buns. My favorite of the pick was the ube bun-so delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. The Black Forest cake was delicate and delicious, but I would have loved a stronger chocolate flavor. I'd definitely get the ube bun again.
I stopped in on a Thursday evening before the holiday. The place had plenty of patrons and it didn't take me long to learn why. First, the friendly staff greeted me with a warm welcome as soon as I walked through the entrance -- that kind of genuine charm is so underrated these days. There were lots of tea options and many unique bakery offerings, such as hot dog danishes, Oreo buns, a curry baked good, a beautiful purple-hued blueberry cake -- just to name a few. Patrons were filling their bamboo-style trays with baked goods from the self-serve glass case. Although the blueberry cake, strawberry cup, and Oreo bun were calling my name, I didn't indulge in baked goods -- maybe next time. I ordered a chai tea with a "spot of milk." The ambience was nice both inside and out, so I sat for a while indoors then moved outdoors to the bistro tables to finish my beverage. I will definitely come back -- seems like a fun environment to make hum-drum routine work tasks less drudgery. Also a nice place to catch up with a friend over coffee!
Always solid pastries and boba here! The pastries/breads are self-serve using provided tongs and trays and you pay at the counter where you can also order drinks. We got the taro bun and pork floss bun. The bread on both was super fluffy. The pork floss bun had a perfect balance of salty and sweet. The taro filling was delicious as well. I also got the jasmine milk tea at 50% sweetness with boba which was super fragrant and the tea flavor was amazing. The boba were soft and chewy and the overall sweetness ended up being perfect. Staff were friendly and our drinks were prepared quickly. There was plenty of indoor seating and it looked like a nice place to study/work as well.
Looks like one of the popular go-to's of any age bracket. They have a huge selection of pastries, cakes and drinks. It reminds me of another popular French cafe but this location has more tables and can accommodate larger groups. There were 10 of us and we were able to enjoy al fresco! Anyway, I loveee pastries and while I don't think they offer the best ones, their Paradise drinks make up for it! I had two of the same item in one sitting plus coffee! Although the same drink, somehow tasted different, definitely done by two different people with one being generous and all-in the standard ingredients. Check out their front door for deals on some days. Maybe hard to find parking on rush hours so prepare to wait. Went there just before dinnertime.
I came here for the first time a few days ago and I ordered a chicken sandwich while my siblings got boba tea. The chicken sandwich was amazing, my only issue with it was that I asked for it to be toasted and the chicken was still very cold after it was heated up. I wish it was heated a little bit longer. I tried both the boba teas and they were both pretty good. Price is sorta up there for the drinks but reasonable for the food. I came around 3:30pm and a good amount of food was already out so I'd recommend coming earlier. The food came out quickly and I enjoyed the ambiance of the dining area. I'll definitely be back!
Went here to get coffee after the kids eat ice cream from Goodberry's. It's a nice clean place to stop over and get pastries! They offer both savory pastries and majority sweets. I particularly love a bread that is not sweet so this is not my taste. But love their Strawberry cake cups!!! They offer a variety of drinks from coffee to bobas. The people are friendly but they're pretty busy when we were there. The pastries look pretty. Not overly sweet so it fits my taste :) This reminds me of our Asian bakery but this one is spacious and a lot of seating.

I got the Boba Taro Milk Latte and absolutely hated it. It was actual taro, blended thick mush (puréed) so it can be mixed into the drink. Because of how thick the mush and chunky it is, it was hard to mix in homogeneously. The only sweet we got was the Mango Mille Crepe and it was okay. We would pass on it the next time. On the other hand, we love the dining area. Instagram-able for sure. read more

This was great!! We went on my birthday and I was overwhelmed with choices. Everything looked so beautiful and well kept in the displays. It was hard not to grab one of everything. Honestly the bread case is enough for me but there is also a little dessert case. You pick your own breads with clean tongs but ask for the desserts. Then they box it up for you at the register and that is where you can order the drinks. I got a fruit tea that was super refreshing! It was the passion fruit one. My partner for a coffee which he enjoyed too. The only thing is the cup is hot and should come with a sleeve but doesn't. We will be back though! read more
Now, I haven't been to the actual location so I can't speak much to the dine-in experience. My friend brought back a slice of matcha mille crepe cake (抹茶千层) for me to try, and I LOVED it . The crepe to cream ratio was perfect. The crepe layers didn't dissolve in the moist, whipped cream. The cake was sweet but subdued enough to taste the nutty, earthy, and slightly bitter matcha flavor. And can we talk about the presentation? Will be visiting soon to try out some of their other pastries soon :) read more

I came here with 20 people after a church event to have some desserts. The space is very large and the staff was extremely accommodating. The selection was nice as well. There's bread, cake, boba, icecream, etc. so there's something for everyone! There's plenty of seating and is perfect for taking a large group to hang out in the evening. It's also beautifully decorated and there's plenty of parking. They also offered a private room that you can book for a small fee which we didn't end up needing. Thank you for accommodating our group, Breco. Highly recommend! read more
It feels very cozy when you first walk in. The cafe is very clean and spacious. The color scheme compliments one another. The strawberry danish was really soft and creamy, the taro bun was a bit on the drier side, and the durian bread definitely had a strong durian taste, but it was fluffy and good. The strawberry milk cap was very tasty and delicious, the foam was creamy and on the thicker side. The staff are friendly and patient. Definitely a great place to do work or school work while enjoying great pastries and beverages! read more
Great experience! The interior is beautiful, bright and clean with a calming vibe making it fun and relaxing to sit. The bakery options were limited, we came in the evening so it was already picked through. I had their passion fruit sparkling tea and the matcha mille crepe cake. The cake was light, rich and smooth but surprisingly no bitter earthy aftertaste. If you like matcha you'll 110% enjoy a slice! read more

I tried this place with a friend on a Sunday afternoon, who wanted to use her coupon. The decor/ambiance is 5/5, you can come for a date, to study or just chat with family and friends. I even noticed a patio area with books and board games. Now on to the treat, everything in the case looked delicious and fresh. I grabbed the Oreo one to split with a friend. We both agreed that it wasn't overly sweet and not what we expected. This one tasted like sweet bread, not bad just not what we expected. 3/5 Next time I'll try one of the drinks and another pastry. read more

I keep forget to review this place. And now, after times and times, I just have to give them this 5 stars, they never disappoint me. One of my favourite place to visit every time I am down here in Cary. Beautiful nice selection of bread, pastry, cakes and fruit tea, smoothies and all. If you haven't been here, where have you been, you gotta come...and experience it. Nice place to hang out with friends....and bring some goodies home.... read more
Oolong milk tea was excellent and I could actually taste the tea. The boba was perfectly soft and fresh. Just the way I like it. Probably because this shop stays very busy at all times, so there will always be perfect boba. Love the inside decor. It is very nice and seems like an amazing place to gather with friends and family for some tea/coffee and pastries/cake. Definitely my kind of place to visit for a sweet tooth. Very impressed and comparable to Sweet Hut or 85°C bakery. read more

Overall I was disappointed with the quality of the cake and sparking tea. The ambience is nice, bright and very spacious. As soon as you walk in they have the menu on the side where you can choose teas, coffee, boba, milkshake and many other options. To the side is a huge bread spread with a ton of options. Everything looked delicious! A friend told me the latte tasted good, however the mango sparkling tea was too sweet for my liking. The mango crepe cake was terrible. I didn't taste any mango and there was a different/odd after taste to it. The tiramisu didn't taste like tiramisu. However the chocolate mousse was decent. Overall I would recommend this place to try their bread spread but I dont have high expectations with their teas or cake slices from what we tried. read more
For starters, this place is absolutely beautiful. Aesthetics galore. My friend and I talked about how nice it would be to rent it out for an event (post Covid of course). Employees are very friendly and helpful with answering questions. There is someone stationed at the pastry bar and they put your selections on a tray for you to take to the register. At the register, you can get your food heated and order your drinks. I picked out a hot dog pastry (and probably the only meat option that isn't pork in the display). It was really delicious and the bread was very flavorful. Drinks were hard to order because a) they were out of various milk substitutions b) they didn't have decaf coffee available. My friend decided not to get a drink because of that. I opted for the "orange tea". Flavor was very...interesting? I really disliked it and the flavors were very unique. I wasn't expecting it to have tapioca balls since it wasn't under the bubble tea menu. Overall, it's OK at best. I definitely had high expectations for this place and it was a bit disappointing. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. But maybe I'd be willing to give it another try if someone suggested coming here. read more

I must say I love this place! Too many choices! I love the sweet (it's not too sweet!) and the savory (the spun bbq pork is magical). My granddaughter likes the boba....and every thing they sell! First time I got way too much, so be careful! They also have wi-fi if you're looking for a great hotspot to do a little work. read more

If you're a fan of Asian fruit teas/boba/bubble tea - visit Brecotea! It was very easy to get to and there was plenty of parking for us in their own parking lot. They have social distancing stickers on the floor and there were workers on standby to help us grab any desserts from the dessert chest that we were interested in. I ordered a fruit tea and absolutely loved it! Aromatic and full of edible fruit slices inside. It came with lychee and some other jelly bubbles inside too, so I didn't need to add any extras. My sisters ordered desserts, but I was so full off of my tea that I didn't get to try - however they were very fragrant. Prices are on par IMO with other boba places. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area. read more

Well the looks on the outside match with the inside! A beautiful interior as you come in and easy to follow lines to ensure customers have space to flow. Upon entering you can either stand in a brief line to order with a menu sign beside you or up the one of the two tap to order stations to right. If you'd like to try one of the delicious pastry items step to the left and grab a tray! An employee will walk with you detail explanations of items and select for you- try any of the custards you won't regret it!! Everything is so reasonably priced and you will have selected some items to try and step into the line you saw at the front. Upon paying you can ask for the pastries to be warmed (yes please) and enjoy read more

Hey Samantha,…
Stopped in at Brecotea to satisfyi my sweet tooth and I was not disappointed! I read some reviews before going and although there were some concerns raised by others, my experience was just fine. As advertised, Brecotea features fresh Baked Goods, Boba Teas, Desserts and other delicious items! They even offer savory items at this business located in the Kildaire Farm area. Comfy Outdoor/Cozy Indoor seating is available, or simply get it to go! My kid loved the pineapple kiwi tea and I will be dreaming about the delicious danish I had No matter if you are a coffee, tea, ice cream, pastry or bread lover..there are dozens of treats there waiting for you! And if you want to buy something for yourself or a friend, by the bathrooms there are some items for sale like tea canisters, notebooks, and more! read more

I love boba teas! So I am consistently searching and trying new places that serve this delicious treat. When it comes to fresh ingredients , THIS IS YOUR PLACE. So I understand why their prices are higher than most tea stores. They have a HUGE bakery that serves bakery items for everyone's palate . I must admit their matcha cake tasted a bit stale and bland. read more

The place is good to hangout and chill, it's spacious and have good vibes. When i came its not too much options left for the bread, so i tried these 3. My fave was the mango bread, lots of mango and the cream is not too sweet for me. The others not really, it said matcha but i can't taste any matcha flavors in it. And the other just almonds on top, good, but nothing wow just as it seems. I also bought their boba taro matcha latte, i/o the boba i swab it with red beans, again couldn't taste the matcha! I love matcha so kind of disappointed for me not to taste any of it either from the bread or the drinks. read more

Was this supposed to be an Asian style bakery? If so, they may have an identity crisis. I'm a little confused. They had a lot of the pastries you'd find in a typical Asian bakery like pineapple bun and black sesame bun but the taste told me otherwise. It's like their intention was Asian but their baking style was westernized. I bought 9 of the their different varieties of buns and danishes - each cost about 3 bucks a pop totaling to 26 bucks. Aesthetically, they looked pleasing to the eyes but looks can be deceiving. With the exception of the danishes, their 'buns' tasted like the inside of a French baguette or similar. It was a little too dry for my taste and isn't like the typical moist soft dough used at Asian bakeries. The worst one out of the bunch I got has to be the tuna cheese bun - coarse dry bread with crusty hard cheese on the outside with what tasted like dry tuna from a can as the filling. The fruit danishes tasted pretty decent. We only tried their bread selection so not sure how good their teas and drinks are. We got there late afternoon around 4pm so their bread case had very limited choices and seemed 60% emptied out. If you wanna see more choices I guess your best bet is to come early morning when they first open. With the pandemic going on, getting bread from the case is not self service and you have to tell the employees which ones you want. There's good ample seating on the inside and good social distancing measures in place. Overall, I guess it could be a hit or miss. Since I didn't see their full array of bakery items I can only review what I tried and based on that I probably wouldn't come here again. The taste coupled with the price tag just doesn't cut it for me. I would stick with Tous les Jours inside of HMart if you want to know what truly delicious Asian buns taste like - they hit it out of the ball park. read more

This is such a cute bakery. I was hoping to find a danish or pastry with some kind of fruit but they didn't have any. Instead, I got a chocolate mousse cake and a strawberry mini puff. The cake was delicious! Very nice presentation. I also got an iced caramel latte and it was not good. It tasted like bitter milk. There was a little confusion with the cashier who didn't know what dessert i was asking for that was in the case. Overall, I would go here again. read more

This place is beautiful inside! When you enter there is a sign with instructions on how to proceed. You start at the bread case, move to the dessert case then head to checkout and choose a drink. There was a decent selection of sweet and savory baked items. I chose a chocolate bun and earl grey cheese bread. I do wish that the selection was larger since I did not care for the chocolate bun and chose that due to lack of options. We tried the mango milk cap tea and pineapple & kiwi tea for our drinks and both were great. We went on a Saturday around 9AM and did not have any issues with wait times but it was slow. read more
