We have had The Burnt Truck's food before and really enjoyed everything we ate so I was excited to see that they had a catering option. I reached out to The Burnt Truck a couple months before our daughter's party to get more information on how their catering would work for a private event. Minh immediately got back to me with menu options and pricing. We reserved the date, made our deposit, and they took care of the rest! We had around 60-70 guests and each person got to choose from four sandwich options (cheeseburger slider, friend chicken slider, mozzarella slider, or PB&J slider) as well as their choice of fries or tots. The standard time slot for private events is 2 hours of food service, but since our party was longer than that, we opted to pay for an extra 2 hours of time. In the end it worked out perfectly because our party was on the smaller side and our guests were able to get food at the start of the party, then go back and order seconds later on before the party was over. Thank you to Minh and team, the food was excellent and our guests were 100% satisfied! I would definitely recommend The Burnt Truck for easy, stress-free catering!

The chicken Caesar salad went really good with the tahini sauce. I really enjoyed the eggplant roll because it reminds me of eel. It's a good alternative for vegans. lastly, we had the spicy tuna roll and the tuna tasted pretty fresh. I really like all of the rolls with the peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was my favorite. I would go again and shout out to James for helping us out !

The concept reimagines Vietnamese style rice paper rolls with unconventional, flavorful fillings and specialized sauces.  The rolls are fresh, tasty, and "packed" with ingredients. Popular, unique options include Chicken Caesar with approximately 22 gram of protein, Spicy Tuna, Smoked Salmon, Prosciutto, and shrimp. They creative combinations like smoked salmon with horseradish cream cheese or prosciutto with mozzarella. The menu is gluten free, and roughly half of the options are vegan like roasted eggplant. If you're living that birria life, Delicias El Torito is your deal. Coupled with warm, friendly…read moreservice and the convenience of having delicious food just steps from your home (because it's a food truck), this is a high recommendation for trying them out. THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Birria Quesadilla | Incredibly juicy and flavorful birria meat with cheese, diced onions, and cilantro, all stuffed into a warm flour tortilla. It comes with a side salad, a few wedges of lemon for zesty vibes, and birria consomé (sauce) which is so good, it's drinkable on its own. Order this with no regrets. - Birria Nachos | Similar to the Birria Quesadilla, but with warm tortilla chips, crema, and jalapeños added. Great meal on its own. - Chicken Enchiladas Plate | Shredded chicken with cheese and green sauce; crema is drizzled on top. It comes with a side salad, spanish rice, and refried beans (a few tortilla chips are planted in for kicks). I really enjoyed this meal; everything was made to my liking. - Fried Banana | Sweet, warm banana slices that fall apart in your mouth. A side of sweet cream and fruit jelly further enhance this sugary treat. THE DRINKS DRUNK. - Horchata | One of the best I've had. The horchata was a perfect blend of rice milk and cinnamon. Consistency was slightly thicker than water and honestly, this is a rarity because I usually encounter watered-down horchata from other places before. THE VIBE EVOCATION. - Homey vibes. Their bright green food truck is quite eye-catching and I love the picture menu splashed across the side. THE RETURN QUANDARY. - Come back!!! I've been low-key waiting for this food truck to return for a minute.

I cannot tell you how great these were! Let me tell you…read moreabout cinco de mayo and taco Tuesday this year when we finally decided to try this food truck that we see every week by the district and always say--'we need to try it' Finally! Omg so upset we took so long to try. I went after work and messaged thru instagram to find out where he was located. In the bend behind where you usually see him. So got the tacos for my boyfriend and I got the quesadilla. Absolutely delicious. Moist and flavorful couldn't get enough. All the sides and fixins! Such a pleasant owner too. I cannot recommend more and can't wait to take my friend on lunch soon. Thank you for a wonderful dinner that night! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

In short, pretty bomb birria truck with generous portions of meat…read more The truck itself is in an office parking lot near the District, with plenty of parking nearby. I came on a Wednesday after work; I (and presumably others) was getting food on the way from work to eat at home. Otherwise if you want to eat here, your car is the ambiance and dining area. I got a burrito and some consomme, plus a quesadilla for the next day. The burrito was *packed* with beef and tasted super pleasantly meaty. I think I counted like six beans total and a bite of rice otherwise, pleasantly surprised by the filling ratios. Salsas were tasty and pleasantly spicy, consommé was flavorful and just oily enough. If you take something home I highly recommend crisping it up in a pan before inhaling. I was in and out in about 15 minutes with no line. Two huge freshly made items plus a medium consommé (which is about the size of a medium soft drink) was about $30. When it gets busy you'd probably be better off calling in an order and picking it up. I'm looking forward to the quesadilla for dinner later on, and I'll definitely be back.
