I normally don't like taco catering because I feel like the meat is always lacking in flavor/quality/freshness, but Killer Tacos knocks it out of the park. We've used Killer Tacos twice for parties at our home, and the response from our guests was outstanding. They couldn't stop raving about the tacos! Alberto uses super fresh, high-quality ingredients..."Prime" meat for his steak tacos and fish from Santa Monica Seafood for his fish tacos. Flavor is the key to Alberto's Killer Tacos. I've been to so many parties where tacos were catered, and like another reviewer mention, the tacos lacked flavor, freshness and quality. Also, I've also been to Alberto's 'Killer Taco' food truck in Costa Mesa several times. We just had the pleasure of Killer Tacos catering our housewarming party in Huntington Beach, and we could not be happier with everything! Alberto is the BEST! From booking to cleanup, everything was flawless. His crew showed up on time to set up, made a beautiful and professional spread. Wow, real Mexican tacos exist in OC?!We were shopping for bikes at "Two Wheels, One Planet" and "Killer Tacos" were there sharing their tacos for everyone for free. I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. If you can get Alberto and Vicki to cater your event, then absolutely positively do it! The tacos are incredible yes--every guest commented on how delicious they were--but let's not forget about the shrimp ceviche, the fresh guacamole, the quesadillas, the fresh salsa and the delicious margaritas also. These were better than Cadillac margaritas I've had at fancy restaurants. The meats were all cooked perfectly--so juicy and flavorful. Killer Tacos has the food dialed in. It was mind-blowingly good. I can't shut up about how good it was. Alberto exceeded my expectations on service also, and the setup looked fantastic. The guests were so impressed and well taken care of. Then they wrapped up all the leftovers and saved them for me. His crew was also wonderful--so professional and warm and thoughtful. I liked them immediately. I would have a hard time using another caterer after this experience because we were so spoiled and well taken care of. They attended to and anticipated our every desire. We had them cater our get together and they were perfect. We had them get carne asada, chicken, and shrimp and they all tastes delicious. And now because of us they know what halal is so if that is a requirement for your event let them know and they will know what it is. The carne asada was delicious. The shrimps were big and juicy. And the chicken was juicy. Not dry what so over. Even the leftovers we ate the next few days were not dry. Their salsa and guacamole were also really good as well. Killer Tacos OC is not your average taco cart!! Alberto and his team catered our engagement party at our home in San Clemente a few weeks ago and it could not have gone better. He is based in Costa Mesa but he still made the trek down to our home with his team and all of his equipment and supplies. We literally didn't have to think about a thing -- he provided everything, and his set up looks very professional and elegant. He even brought the best margarita mix we've ever had! We had about 30 people and ALL of our guests raved about the food. Every single one. Alberto cooks everything in stages - we started with delicious quesadillas, then moved on to ceviche, taquitos, and finally shrimp, pork, and carne asada tacos. All of the tacos were made fresh to order, exactly to each guests liking. Alberto comes with all the toppings too. His normal package includes options for vegetarians and gluten free guests. He also accommodated my request to bring salad, which of course no one ate because the rest of the food was so amazing! We ate for hours, and still had leftovers, which Alberto and his team packaged up for us to enjoy the next day. Not only was the food delicious, but Alberto and his team were a wonderful presence at our party. He and his wife are friendly and personable, and very respectful. You can tell they love to bring people together with food. Alberto was very communicative during the planning process as well and answered all of my questions promptly... he really made everything so easy.
