My office is OBSESSED with Plates and Bowls Catering! The food is amazing. The falafel are among the best I've ever had-not at all dry and so tasty. We all fawn over the gorgeous crudite platters. It's a feast for your eyes for sure. Beyond the amazing food, the service is top notch. Great communication from Kristen, and super thoughtful after-service follow through. We order a lot of lunches at my office, and Plates and Bowls is a frequent request. Love the song title names of their lunch spreads, too. read more

We were treated to this at work. CHIA SEED PUDDING CUP: -- great texture and creamy -- loaded with black chia seeds -- could use more fresh chopped or dried fruit for added interest -- not too sweet as presented so fruit would not hurt RATING = A MINI CHOCOLATE PASTRY (croissant-like): -- not enough chocolate for bite balance on each nibble -- bread texture decent -- not flaky; better in an air fryer RATING = B MINI CROISSANTS: -- soft vs. firm texture -- not flaky -- better after the air fryer -- possibly too health consciously prepared to be "golden" type RATING = A- FRESH FRUIT & DRIED FRUIT: -- red grapes, blueberries, apple, mango, baby banana, watermelon, strawberries -- not as fresh as could be with watermelon and strawberries but strawberries aren't always good and sweet even when color is right on and this is a poor year for watermelon (probably due to early heat spell in February) so not necessarily a "them" issue RATING = A OATMEAL CUP: -- milky and creamy with nice oat texture -- light sweetness -- really good -- added some blueberries to improve the interest level RATING = A read more

So, even though I wasn't the person that hired their catering service, I wanted to give them a review. My organization has used them many times and they've always killed it. I don't know how much they charge, but if you want to have a fantastic catered meal I highly recommend them. And definitely get their bread and desserts. I know people may be avoiding carbs and sugar these days, but whoever does their baking and desserts knows what they are doing. read more

We held a meeting at Hana Haus and it all went smoothly. Team had so many compliments about the food. Excellent value for my needs and frankly food was better than nearby restaurants. read more

One of the best places for catering possible. We have been using them for years from basic lunch to huge events. The food is delicious and we always get rave reviews on it. We had our Baby Shower brunch on Sept. 7, 2024. The food was good and the portion was generous. Would definitely use P+B again but do want to share what we were disappointed about. We were told that the catering service would provide "plenty" of disposable plates, utensils, napkins, take-home boxes, and small plates for cake (although cake was done by a separate baker). No take-home boxes or small plates were provided. The napkins were cocktail-sized napkins only, there were barely enough plates, and we ran out of forks. And we were frugal by not changing our plates when going for second helping. We ended up having to run to Target to get more supplies. read more

Plates + Bowls Catering - Delicious! - Caterers Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

I was skeptical to try a new caterer for my son's 21st birthday "bar" brunch, but I shouldn't have been. I had Chef Andy and Ali come with more fixings for our omelet bar than I could have ever imagined! I also requested breakfast potatoes, and Jenn easily accommodated even though they are not on the menu. Andy and Ali even offered to help set up. Towards the end of the event, Allie even made more omelets for us to eat later on. All the guests were impressed and loved the food. Thank you for helping make my son's birthday a success! read more
