I ordered the Pink Lady and it did not disappoint! Comes with their signature red sauce, bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, and spinach. Highly recommend you try the spicy ranch to dip your pizza in - it's not too spicy and most people will be able to handle it. The staff is very friendly and service is on point. The wait isn't too bad, probably waited 15 minutes even when the line was packed. Definitely going to come back to try the other pies. read more

This is a pizza truck that travels around to different areas. They were by the Carlsbad Flower Fields so it was pretty busy. The wait was only ten minutes which is pretty good as only so many pizzas can be cooked at a time over an open flame. The pizza itself was very good. The crust was very thin and toasty from the fire. Dang Brothers Pizza is one hundred percent worth the meal! With great oven fire pizza, incredible pizza combinations and toppings, and cheap prices it makes for a great time with a group or individually. Each pizza bought is a personal 8 slice pie customized with various toppings and sauces. My favorite was the Pink Lady which is a classic style of a Margarita pizza with spinach, tomato sauce, fresh cheese and mushrooms for $11! The Friday deal they had was buy two get one free none taxable which was great for my group but they have deals everyday! I'm writing this review solely for the Dang Brothers Pizza Truck in 22 Area, Camp Pendleton South. Unfortunately, this review is not on the pizza (which surprisingly I've never had) but on their Breakfast Sandwiches. Apparently, after contacting DBP on Instagram this location is the only one that serves Bfast Sandwiches. On another note, I personally have not been to the physical location, but my coworkers and I take turns buying Bfast for our crew. Minded we've bought Bfast sandwiches for months and I thought today would be a good time to write them a review. I've bought both the $5 and $8 Bfast sandwiches which both come with either meat, cheese and egg. The $5 sandwich, you get your choice of bacon or sausage, then includes egg and melted cheese. The $8 sandwich comes with both meat options, egg and cheese! It all depends how hungry you are! The picture below is of the $5 Bfast sandwich, which I had this morning! I'm a pretty big dude and 1 sandwich is filling enough...the sandwich is fully packed with flavor, especially with the slightly runny yolk! If the Bfast sandwiches are this tasty, I'm sure the pizzas are as good as well! That's next for me to try! read more

I got tired of the area Chow Hall. I was headed to the 62 Area mini MCX for something to snack on and found this place around the corner. Glad I stopped by. The establishment: Yellow fire truck, makeshift kitchen and open air patio dinning. Chill, relaxed atmosphere. The pizza is cooked on a wood fire oven built into the back of the fire truck. How cool is that? Very! Pizza made to order and cooked in less time then conveyor belt franchise pizza. Veteran owned. Great customer service. The pizza: How it supposed to be...or at least how I like it. Thin crust, fresh ingredients and straight out of a wood fire oven. One size for the pizza. Pizza selections are Marine Corps themed ranging from Terminal Lance to MA Deuce to Chesty Puller. The Chesty Puller was on point. Killed it before I could take a pic. Cheese sticks was good to. Just a heads up...they don't give you a container for the marinara (see pic). The pizzas come sliced so no knife hands needed. The price: For being in the middle of nowhere Camp Pendleton I don't mind paying the extra few bucks. Pizza is great and it beats that chow hall a block away. All I can say is WOW. I am not sure where to begin but I'll start by saying they were more than prompt as they were there at least an hour early to set up and make sure they were ready to roll once the event started, which was my daughters wedding reception. The two gentlemen that showed up were Brett and Dan who introduced themselves when I got there and they were already prepping the salads which was as fresh as it gets as they were chopping the salad, tomatoes and fresh parmesan cheese. You know its good when I eat three servings of it and I don't like salad that much. While they were in the middle of prepping, they saw that I had a keg in the trunk in of my car which they grabbed and put on the truck, and tapped the keg. After that they got started on the garlic bread which went into the awesome wood burning pizza oven and that came out ans was cut into perfect pieces. By this times everyone started showing up and EVERYONE loved the fire truck. My Son n Law in a fire fighter in Kern County and he thought this was the coolest thing he has seen especially when he saw the taps where the gauges of the truck are. Also, in regards to this, Dang Brothers offers discounts for first responders so thank you for that as well. Now the good part begins and that is when they start breaking out the dough and begin making the pizza. I myself make my own pizza dough and you can definitely tell that this is fresh, home made pizza dough. They were cranking them out and all of them were perfect. We had BBQ, Margherita, Cheese, Pepperoni and Veggie and I tried all of them and could not stop eating but eventually did when I couldn't fit anymore in my belly. Needless to say the party was a big hit and everyone loved the pizza and not to mention before they left they started cooking what was left of the dough because we still had some left so people were even able to take home some pizza as well. When it was all over, they began to break down everything, clean up and get ready to go and they came in and asked us if there was anything else and I said yeah I need to give you your tip as they more than deserved every penny if not more as they worked really hard and were great with all of our guests by accommodating them. I would like to personally thank Brett and Dan for making my daughters day and also to thank Brett for his service to our country as he is a veteran. Kevin, you have a great company with a great product but more importantly great people representing you and the company. Pizza was extremely expensive for something smaller than a Totinos pizza you can buy for like $.99 in the frozen section. And quite bland, usually wood fire pizza should have some flavor with the dough or even the sauce, this had neither. The real fun part was walking with my almost 2 year old and telling "No, you don't say those words" that the extremely foul mouthed, scantily dressed pizza maker was spewing from her mouth. I get it, she wants to be cool in front of the drooling little Marines as the stare at her, because she's the only girl around. They have expanded the menu a little and would need to try out the new items. The only drawback is the price depending on what you get for the size of pizza, but I understand that running a business isn't cheap so I wouldn't fault them for that. Dang bros, where food is as hot as the drinks! They are a more preoccupied choosing which molon labe patch to throw on their condor hats that they forget to put ice in the coolers with the drinks and put napkins on the tables. I first learned about Dang Brothers Pizza from visiting them at the Farmers Market in Ladera Ranch and tasting their delicious offerings there...if I could give them 6 stars, I would. These guys have it all: unique, awesome presentation (oven-fired pizza in an antique fire truck), super friendly customer service, and KILLER pizza. I'm vegan and had a margherita pizza with vegan cheese and it was delicious. Their crust is scratch-made and IT SHOWS, and when they fire it at such a high temp, it produces a soft texture with a perfectly crispy char on the outside. I ended up hiring them for a private corporate event this past weekend and they were incredible. I got compliments from clients and our team members. They were extremely easy to work with and even provided some extras and upgrades that were totally unexpected.
