First time here, heard great things
    Cody B.

Noteworthy they have 3 trucks and 2 restaurants, lynwood, paramount, montebello, commerce, so just search name to see whats closest. On my first two visits here I have nothing negitive to say, only minus was lots of people and long wait but it's fine if it's worth it, right? Short answer, yes it's worth the try and wait. Tacos were good and only $1.50 each, horchata was very good and was $3 for a big bottle, actually came back for another bottle the next day, line was big on that day to so I'm assuming it's regularly like that. I didn't buy a big cup of the birria soup but it's $12, guess that's worth noting, heard it's great tho, but I'll stick to just tacos. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is because I've had better, but it is good.

    Red Taco Truck.

First whiff and I could almost taste the red taco truck I was approaching. A quick order and a coke. The drink prices are One dollar for a can of soda! I order the same Mulita and can of Coke from this truck each time and I haven't been disappointed once. Great prices y la comida mas sabrosa. Bring a friend.

Tacos dorados w/queso So good. Must try it. The salsa has so much flavor and just enough spice.

Delicious tacos de birria. Very satisfied with the quality of these tacos. I tried the tacos dorados con queso and it was a game changer for sure. If you like spicy but not too spicy, their salsa is just the right amount of spicy flavor. I cannot wait to go back for more tacos de birria. I will say this is my favorite place for tacos de birria. Thank you.

Its really good. I really recommend the tacos dorados and the quesotaco. They're delicious. My picky eater son approved the tacos also. My husband had the plato de birria and it was honestly good also. I tried it and you can tell the food was fresh. The salsa is very spicy so just beware of that if you dont eat a lot of hot sauce. And not to mention the aguas frescas are my favorite. I see a lot of people on here complain about the wait time but honestly its worth the wait. And its not that bad.

    Guessadilla?

Definitely not the best in LA. Or even close to it. We tried the tacos. And quesadilla. Birria was dry. Only thing worth trying is the consomé. First and last time.

    Barely enough for 4 tacos

It's always taco time so I wanted to give this place a try. Decided to stick to corn tortillas…read moresince they make them on site (but still a fan of flour tortillas). Wound up ordering a birria quesadilla and 3 Al pastor tacos. All with corn tortillas but they charge you $2 extra for corn tortilla on the quesadilla but they didn't charge for the consume which was good. The corn tortilla for the quesadilla was a bit thick for my preference but I think that's the only way to keep all the meat inside and not break. I suggest getting the flour tortilla on quesadillas. But, the birria meat and consume were really good. And, you get a lot of meat in a quesadilla. It's big enough for 2 people. Al pastor was good too. Still need to try the carne asada. They charge 2% fee for credit cards so bring cash unless you ordered online. No parking except street parking which can suck around dinner time as they get busy. They also have few seats inside so you see people order ahead (online or phone) and double park to pick up. And, it's best if you speak some Spanish to communicate. Having said all this, perhaps a 3.5 is my rating.

The biggest draw here is the handmade tortillas, which are definitely a step above average. However, this was the first taco shop where I actually watched pieces of fat being added to the asada tacos, something I've seen other reviewers mention as well. The al pastor wasn't carved from a trompo; instead, it was served as chopped pieces of pork in sauce, which wasn't my preferred style. The birria was good, but nothing particularly memorable compared to other places I've tried. That said, the restaurant seems very popular with locals, and being open past 6 p.m. is a plus in an area where many restaurants close early. Prices are lower than what you'd typically find at a brick-and-mortar taqueria, which may reflect the local market. One thing to note is that there is no customer restroom, so it feels more geared toward takeout than dining in. Most of the customers I saw appeared to be picking up food to go. Overall, it's a solid neighborhood taco spot if you're already in the area, but not necessarily a destination-worthy stop.

If you're craving authentic antojitos from Ciudad Guzmán in the southern region of Jalisco,…read moreAntojitos Los Cuates in Compton is absolutely worth the drive. As someone who grew up enjoying the flavors of Jalisco, I had been yearning for the famous raspadas--large homemade tostadas--and the variety of traditional antojitos that are so popular back home. My family and I decided to give this place a try, so we made the drive all the way from Riverside County to Compton, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a small, family-owned restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food tastes homemade, just like the meals your mamá would make in Jalisco. You can tell that every dish is prepared with care, tradition, and pride. We ordered the tostadas, tortas ahogadas, and tacos duros, and every item was packed with authentic flavor. Unfortunately, we arrived around 3:30 PM and missed out on the pozole because they had already sold out for the day. That alone tells me it's a favorite among their customers, so I highly recommend arriving early if you're hoping to try it. The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being very busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive. Keep in mind that this is a small family-run establishment, so your food may take a little longer to arrive. However, that's because everything is made fresh to order, and the quality is well worth the wait. Places like this are becoming harder to find. If you're looking for authentic flavors from Jalisco and want to support a hardworking family business, Antojitos Los Cuates is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. We'll definitely be back. A little taste of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, right here in Southern California.
