Was looking for a nice breakfast spot nearby. Checked Yelp and it brought us to this hidden gem. New owners. Great friendly service. We ordered 2 eggs (sunny side up), hash browns, bacon and toast with house coffee. Got the Denver omelette with hash browns and toast. Order a Biscoff frappe Food was great. Biscoff frappe was the best ever. These frappes should have people lining out the door. Loved the condiment tray on each table. You can ground your own pepper and salt. Sugar for coffee or tea. Heinz Ketchup, smuckers jelly and 2 diff hot sauces. Prices were great. Will need to come again and try more food and drinks. read more

Food is wonderful, I had the lox on everything bagel which was loaded with cream cheese. I didnt get to take a photo, it went in a flash :-D. Service was excellent, the owner is warm and friendly, and never rushed me as I enjoyed my breakfast catching up on my reading with coffee by my side. Again another Mon and pop shop. The old owners were great the new owners are awesome. One of the owners was very patient with me. I just had my eyes checked and couldn't see that well. Omelette was really good sausage with solid. The hashbrowns are out of this world crispy might be some of the best I've had in Orange County or even California. Iced coffee was on point. We came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. It was empty when we arrived but the staff was very attentive and sweet. I appreciate the high chairs having a cover for the babies (we still put ours on top of theirs due to my baby wanting to lick everything). We ordered specialty drinks and breakfast items. Their menu has A LOT to offer which i appreciate. It's very cute inside and they offer seating outside too if that's your jam. We love eating at Cloud Cafe, a great neighborhood spot. The new owners have kept the long time favorites from the previous menu and brought in new food/drink additions. My favorite, the avocado toast, is loaded with avocado, mixed nuts and custom blend seasoning, and their lox bagel plate was fresh and yummy. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are generous. Dog friendly seating outside. CC, San and the entire team greet everyone with a genuine smile, making you feel right at home. They recently did a sandwich platter for a small get together we had, and the care they took in putting it together was so appreciated. Very generous portions in each sandwich and delicious! I was invited by a friend at the gym for a girl's breakfast and this was the first time me trying Cloud Cafe. The place is really cozy and quiet. There was a beautiful smell and scent in the bathroom that left me feeling uplifted. Isak was our waiter and he was very quick, attentive, kind and respectful. The girls and I had a WONDERFUL time. I ordered the Classic. The eggs were hot and warm and tasty. The bacon and hash browns were really good too. I do wish the glass of orange juice was taller though. But overall, I give it a 5/5. Was heading home from a workout with the wife when she asked to get pancakes. Happy to have came across Cloud cafe on yelp. I just saw the ratings and said let's try it out. Ordered a short stack banana pancake, cheese omelette w/ onions & tomato croissant and a side of bacon, an omelette. Didn't know they specialized in steamed omelette nonetheless the food was amazing! Been wanting to stop in when I'm in Cali visiting Mom - I'm in town at least once every other month - this place has been on my list of "must try" so we went in the middle of the week - weekends here are packed and very busy. What a great experience- the place is family owned and gives that total vibe - I hate to use expressions like a "darling little place" but it is just that - it feels very welcoming, bright and cozy all at the same time - this place is loved and cared for. The food - absolutely delicious- I had the Croissant Omelette Sandwich - with a side of bacon - Mom had a Denver Omelette- they prepared the omelette by steaming them - who knew how delicate and fluffy that would make them. Love this little Mom & Pop restaurant for breakfast/brunch. Food is fresh and perfectly cooked. There was only 1 person out front and one in the back doing all the cooking, so be prepared to wait for your food, but it's definitely worth the wait. Portions are generous and our server stayed on top of filling water glasses/brought a carafe of coffee for us to refill our beverages at our table while we waited for our food. We had been going to Cloud Cafe for years, but haven't been there in a while. We went for breakfast today & discovered they were under new ownership. When we entered, we were directed to sit at a table. The server gave us menus & left. We waited over 10 minutes before I saw someone to flag them down to tell them we were ready to order. It took another 5 minutes before she took our order because she had to clean a table. We placed our order & the server repeated our order to us to make sure she had it correct. When we started getting our food, a coffee was brought out. I ordered a hot green tea, not coffee. When our food arrived, my son had ordered 2 side orders of bacon, he only got one side. I ordered a senior breakfast with bacon, but I got no bacon. My husband's food was lukewarm at best. At this point, we were in a hurry because of an appointment. I asked about my bacon & they did bring it to me. Overall the food was mediocre & service was terrible. When we came here before, the previous owners were on point & the food was always good. We always had excellent service. We definitely won't be returning to Cloud Cafe. read more

Came here this morning and was greeted with a warm welcome! I ordered the biscoff frappe, it took no longer than 5 minutes to receive my drink. They have seats by the door for to go orders which i really appreciated. This place is cute, well organized and I definitely see myself coming back here again. Venturing out from our hotel in Lake Forest we were looking for a breakfast spot that was not a bakery but a Local Favorite sit down eatery. We found Cloud Cafe, located in a strip mall near a large grocery store. Walking in, we saw a bustling restaurant with only seven tables with one open--just for us. We were promptly seated, handed menus and asked for our drink choice....only one server caring for the entire restaurant. We ordered a simple bacon, egg, hash brown, toast breakfast and hubby was delighted to find he could order a side of spam (added cost) along with his breakfast! If you're looking to order and be served quickly, this is NOT the place for you. We enjoyed the leisurely pace and were served a simple, delicious meal on a lovely old fashioned China plate. That went a long way for me! Service was excellent, and many compliments about the food were overheard as customers exited. The ownership has changed. My wife and I ate there and we were not impressed. The food was so-so and for the price, one is better off going across the street to Angelo's. I get the impression that the prior owner ran a much more professional restaurant. The menu must have changed as they do not serve pancakes. Cute spot in a nondescript shopping area. Clearly a family owned place with a lot of heart, and good hearty food. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and Hubby liked his omelet. The cook/Mom came out to see how we liked everything and was quite nice. They have a loyalty program (10 stamps and get money off). Overall the food, service and atmosphere are very normal for a small family restaurant. Nothing special about it.

My wife and I would frequently visit Cloud Cafe and the food was always great. We just visited today and to our surprise the old owners sold and it is under new ownership. However, fear not loyal patrons, as the food choices have not changed and somehow it's even better! The croissants are fresher, the eggs are fluffier, and the steamed omelet still tastes amazing. They also have expanded their menu and now offer more lunch options like yummy sandwiches. Hats off to Sam and his partner. They have enhanced an already great place for the better!
