Biscoff frappe was the best ever. These frappes should have people lining out the door. Loved the condiment tray on each table. You can ground your own pepper and salt. Sugar for coffee or tea. Again another Mon and pop shop. The old owners were great the new owners are awesome. One of the owners was very patient with me. I just had my eyes checked and couldn't see that well. Omelette was really good sausage with solid. The hashbrowns are out of this world crispy might be some of the best I've had in Orange County or even California. Iced coffee was on point. Lovely spot for breakfast with great service. Ambiance was relaxing (Laufey playing over the speakers when I was there) and my hot coffee was served in a pretty teacup. I was invited by a friend at the gym for a girl's breakfast and this was the first time me trying Cloud Cafe. The place is really cozy and quiet. There was a beautiful smell and scent in the bathroom that left me feeling uplifted. Isak was our waiter and he was very quick, attentive, kind and respectful. The girls and I had a WONDERFUL time. I ordered the Classic. The eggs were hot and warm and tasty. The bacon and hash browns were really good too. I do wish the glass of orange juice was taller though. But overall, I give it a 5/5. We enjoyed a quick breakfast here. The omelet was delicious, I loved they included onions, green pepper and whatever meat you chose. I had the senior sunny-side up eggs, which were cooked perfectly. We had been going to Cloud Cafe for years, but haven't been there in a while. We went for breakfast today & discovered they were under new ownership. When we entered, we were directed to sit at a table. The server gave us menus & left. We waited over 10 minutes before I saw someone to flag them down to tell them we were ready to order. It took another 5 minutes before she took our order because she had to clean a table. We placed our order & the server repeated our order to us to make sure she had it correct. When we started getting our food, a coffee was brought out. I ordered a hot green tea, not coffee. When our food arrived, my son had ordered 2 side orders of bacon, he only got one side. I ordered a senior breakfast with bacon, but I got no bacon. My husband's food was lukewarm at best. At this point, we were in a hurry because of an appointment. I asked about my bacon & they did bring it to me. Overall the food was mediocre & service was terrible. When we came here before, the previous owners were on point & the food was always good. We always had excellent service. We definitely won't be returning to Cloud Cafe. read more

Love this little Mom & Pop restaurant for breakfast/brunch. Food is fresh and perfectly cooked. There was only 1 person out front and one in the back doing all the cooking, so be prepared to wait for your food, but it's definitely worth the wait. Portions are generous and our server stayed on top of filling water glasses/brought a carafe of coffee for us to refill our beverages at our table while we waited for our food. Venturing out from our hotel in Lake Forest we were looking for a breakfast spot that was not a bakery but a Local Favorite sit down eatery. We found Cloud Cafe, located in a strip mall near a large grocery store. Walking in, we saw a bustling restaurant with only seven tables with one open--just for us. We were promptly seated, handed menus and asked for our drink choice....only one server caring for the entire restaurant. We ordered a simple bacon, egg, hash brown, toast breakfast and hubby was delighted to find he could order a side of spam (added cost) along with his breakfast! If you're looking to order and be served quickly, this is NOT the place for you. We enjoyed the leisurely pace and were served a simple, delicious meal on a lovely old fashioned China plate. That went a long way for me! Service was excellent, and many compliments about the food were overheard as customers exited. My wife and I would frequently visit Cloud Cafe and the food was always great. We just visited today and to our surprise the old owners sold and it is under new ownership. However, fear not loyal patrons, as the food choices have not changed and somehow it's even better! The croissants are fresher, the eggs are fluffier, and the steamed omelet still tastes amazing. When I talk to people about the Cloud Café, I often hear it described as a "hidden gem," "best kept secret in Orange County," "quaint," and "cozy." The family-owned café opened in 2015 on the second floor of a medical building at El Toro and Muirlands. In 2019, it was moved to 23352 El Toro Road, gaining better visibility. The onset of COVID-19 in 2020 was challenging for this beloved café. Despite the stress, the family-owned restaurant managed to survive and continues to serve its valued customers. Upon arrival, Isak greets you warmly while Sada, the owner and chef, ensures everything is perfectly cooked. The Cloud Café attracts the morning crowd, offering coffee in China cups and saucers instead of clunky mugs. Sada has a custom blend of spices (Spicey Sunshine Seasoning) available for customers to add to their food or purchase. The spice mix is excellent for those of us with compromised taste buds. All menu items are freshly prepared, taking 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your order. The pancakes are light and fluffy, and the Belgian waffles are thick and crispy. The freshly steamed omelets are particularly noteworthy. The café is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. It offers a loyalty program: spend $10 to receive a stamp, and once the card is full, you get $10 off your next purchase. The café is listed in Lake Forest City's Shop & Dine Community Gift Card program. A nice compliment to the café's decorations is the wall Sada has dedicated to local artist Richard Banks, who produces original acrylic paintings. This is an excellent example of a small business supporting a small business, and the artwork is for sale. Treat yourself and stop by for breakfast sometime. We liked Cloud Cafe. Good food and service. Seems family owned. The menu for breakfast was minimal but varied which is nice. For the meat lover they have different sausages like andouille. Super flavorful and as of this writing only $4 for a big sausage. Prices overall are amazing. Two of us ate and had coffee for under $35. Portions are reasonable. You won't leave hungry but you won't be eating on leftovers either. Why 4 stars? I didn't love the steamed omelette. Not my thing, maybe yours? We will go back. read more
