The Lafayette sandwich is INSANE. I got it Togo once and it was so delicious at home. I usually hate take out bc the textures and temp of food usually turns it into a completely different experience but it was literally perfect even sitting in a box for 30 min. So I came here today to try it in store and It wasn't soggy or messy but still super packed and juicy. It's filled with Gruyère cheese and the eggs are fluffy inside. The croissant is crispy but airy/moist and it doesn't explode all over the place when you eat it. I hate when a croissant or baguette explodes crumbs every where after each bite. They perfected this. We love this place and usually come for coffee and breakfast. Today the young man at the coffee bar made my cappuccino perfectly, with the ideal foam. Thank you so much! One small note from a former restaurant manager: the pesto sandwich tasted delicious, but the bottom bread was soggy and fell apart. They kindly remade it, but the second one was the same. Such a cute spot to it's great outdoor seating in a quiet area. You walk up and order then find your seat. We ordered the French toast, honey vanilla latte, and strawberry matcha. All of it was good! I was expecting the strawberry matcha to have actually strawberry puree in it but it's just a flavoring and it was very light. The matcha itself was good. Honey vanilla latte was asked to be less sweet and it was also a lighter flavor. I wouldn't say a must come and a must do but as a spot for catching up with friends, doing some work, or just enjoying the atmosphere, it's not a bad place. read more

After doing a search on gluten-free food in the area, I came across Dove Cafe. They're located in a medium-sized shopping plaza in RSM, with plenty of free shared parking available. The shopping center is somewhat hidden, meaning that it's not off a main street, so I hope that doesn't prevent future customers from finding them. When I arrived, I was surprised to find how large and beautiful it was inside. They have plenty of seating both inside and outside. Basically you place your order with the cashier or you can use the self kiosk, then you find a seat and they bring the food to you. You do need to pick up your own drinks at the counter though. I ordered the Morning Market Bowl for $17. It came with two organic scrambled eggs, confit tomato, sweet potato, bell pepper, dressed arugula, green onion, avocado, cheddar blend & toast. I asked for gluten free toast, and the owner gladly substituted it for me at no extra charge. I also ordered a hot strawberry matcha. Everything was delicious! The only thing I wish my bowl had was bacon or some type of protein. It was a decent sized dish and I wasn't able to finish it all. The strawberry matcha was perfect - not overly sweet but just enough so you can taste the strawberry flavor. The employees and owner were hard-working and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was clean and modern. I will definitely return to try additional items from their menu! read more

We stopped in to Dove Cafe this morning after our lab appointments for a nice relaxing breakfast. We arrived and entered the café and pleasantly greeted by the counter staff. My wife ordered two eggs over medium with toast and I had the Keep it simple with turkey sausage. We also split a cinnamon apple muffin and I had an Americano coffee with OJ while my wife had hot water. The staff were pleasant and professional and brought out our order which was hot and tasty. I recently met a friend here for a morning coffee, and I am so glad we found this spot. The decor and layout are absolutely stunning! A total hidden gem. I arrived around 9 AM and noticed the pastry display was already nearly empty. While I wasn't sure if that meant they sell out fast or had a slow start, the quality quickly gave me my answer. The barista was incredibly warm and helpful. When I ordered a Flat White, she mentioned it was her favorite drink to make, and she nailed it- it was made perfectly. For food, I tried the strawberry croissant on her recommendation. It's more of a doughy pastry than a flaky one, but the ingredients felt high-quality and it wasn't overly sweet. The best part? Have you ever shared a meal with someone who doesn't have their food yet? Or sat there watching someone eat while your stomach files a formal complaint? It's awkward. That was our breakfast experience today. Marlene and I placed our orders at the counter--she actually ordered first--but somehow only mine made it into the system. After a receipt search and a second swipe of the credit card, a server promised to "rush" her breakfast bowl. Meanwhile, my French Toast--topped with a mountain of whipped cream--was slowly collapsing into sweet despair, so I dove in. And wouldn't you know it? The exact moment I finished, her food arrived. Nothing quite says "romantic breakfast" like synchronized disappointment. To top it off, an employee was hauling Costco-sized supplies--sodas, cups, paper products--through the front entrance like a caffeinated Sherpa. We were also treated to a symphony of clattering metal as fresh silverware was unpacked and sorted on a nearby table. Mood music, I suppose? That said, kudos to whoever designed the space--it's genuinely beautiful. But I'm not a fan of the "order at the counter, juggle your own coffee setup, and hope for timely service" model. If you're going to make guests do part of the work, you really have to bring your A-game with service. Especially around here, where dining options are plentiful and this retail center has a bit of a... reputation. I get that they're new, just a few weeks in, and I truly hope they iron out the wrinkles. The concept has potential--but as of now, the experience doesn't quite match the design. read more

I LOVE that this place exists it's walking distance from home and so cute to hang out and work from the cafe with your laptop or just grab a coffee and hang on the outdoor patio. Also they have the BEST iced lattes and iced matcha... my wife and I are connoisseurs and I'm telling you 10/10. The cafe itself is very pretty and spacious with lots of outdoor seating. There are two options to order, either on the kiosk or with someone at the register. It was our first time coming and we were also planning on studying there. We tried to browse the menu on the kiosk before just ordering at the register. It was pretty seamless, received our table number and easily found a large table outside. Oddly when our drinks was ready, instead of bringing it to our table (since we were dining in) the worker called out our name. Interestingly, after our friends later joined us, their drinks were brought straight to the table... The food was good but pretty pricey for basic items you were getting. Service is where I'm landing on 2 stars because we were trying to study at the same time as dining but no one ever thought to help clear our table. Tucked away in the back of Dove Canyon is this lovely little cafe. The decor inside is very pretty but we loved the spacious outdoor dining, it's quiet and peaceful The sweet girl at the counter, Madison, helped us select vegetarian options for us and they are very flexible with customizing to your needs. Madison also informed about their rewards program and I gladly signed up I had the Morning Market Bowl and my husband had the Le Marcha. Both were delicious. On a friendly note, and my humble opinion, the bowl would have been even better with grains or a side of rice added to it. It's just my preference. I am already planning to go back next week with my daughter. This is a lovely cafe. Very refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. Madison was very sweet and took the time to chat with us and informed that they are updating their menu. I always feel, the staff and workers make a huge difference to any business. Currently it is a soft opening, but lots of people are showing up in anticipation of a new eatery in town. Very French inspired, the interior is beautiful. Lots of couples, babies and dogs. The entire place is incredibly welcoming. The food is delicious. The coffee is great if you like bold or dark coffee options. Been coming here since they opened and loved it then! I've raved about this place to our neighbors and coworkers and always took my friends and family here when they were in town... however this past visit the staff has gone down hill and it runs very very hot inside. Within our party we had two dietary allergens and two children. We ordered 2 kids meals and when it was ran out there was a miscommunication and placed the kids meals in front of the adults. We were confused so we asked if the kids meals were coming out and the manager confirmed that "we are still waiting on two kids meals and an eggs benedict" so they ate the food trusting that it was their food. When they ran out the rest of the food it wasn't what was told to us so we tried to explain to the waitress the confusion and whilst explaining that we were concerned about allergens (gluten allergy & diabetes) she put her hand up to shush us and said "yeah I got that part.." ignoring us which made us uncomfortable then walked off. We had to scramble and put together a plate for the kids with whatever was left.. It made the rest of our lunch uncomfortable and we felt disrespected and one of the kids in our group was sad that he couldn't get his food and felt nervous by how it was handled. Super embarrassing to be treated like that in front of your friends and family. So when we tried to speak to explain to the owner he apologized for her and said it was handled, brushed it off and gave us 15% off next time and a pastry? The way the owner handled it made it seem like we were inconveniencing him. Why would we come back after how that was handled? We tried asking for the servers name, they refused to give it to us which made it very odd so i would just stay away from this place all together.
