It's mostly ok. The service was good. The inside is very cute. Tall windows and right at discovery green so it's a nice view and cute vibe. The food and mimosas were good. Not great but good. A basic brunch. I will say the chicken with the chicken and waffles was very crispy. The hibiscus mimosa isn't great. The strawberry mimosa is pretty good.

Had steak frites and the special of the evening beef Wellington. The beef on both was cooked amazingly perfect. But for $28 for steak frites and over $65 for beef Wellington the steak frites was the better deal as the Wellington was good but not over the top better. Service was spot on. Enjoyed our meal alot.

I must say, and you must forgive me, that this was tres bon! Honestly though, this entire experience was excellent. The interior was crowded, and yet didn't feel that way, which was a feat. The decor was elegant, with the magnificent chandeliers being a nice added touch. I came here for HRW and the menu was impressive to say the least. I was also pleasantly surprised by the selection of delicious complementary pastries we were given prior to the actual courses. Though the restaurant was busy, our servers were very attentive and communicated about wait times and delays, which I found thoughtful. I had the escargot, duck and pot de chocolate and every course was amazing! The escargot was cooked and seasoned perfectly and paired well with the bread, while the duck was succulent and substantial. The creamy and rick chocolatey dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. 10/10!

We went for HRW and I really enjoyed it. It's right across from Discovery Green, so you get a nice view, and the inside is cute, with chandeliers all over. Our server was really friendly and professional. I started with the bagel and lox, and really enjoyed the presentation. I then had the seafood omelette, it was served with a nicely dressed salad. We finished with a chocolate mousse dessert. It was all really good. It was a great experience all around, and I would definitely go back.

This restaurant is perfection. I mean beautiful, elegant, rich, and everything else you could think of when thinking of a wonderful fancy restaurant. Well, we went there, and our waiter was a French gentleman, and he had a perfect mix of refinement and French antics, which I adored. He was great, explaining things I didn't understand with the patience of a well-trained royal staff member. He looked somewhat offended at me when I asked for spicy sauce, but I hadn't tasted the food yet. The food here is real. What I mean is that when you taste the food you realize how fake the yogurt is from your grocery store, how much depth and flavor things like tomatoes, eggs, and berries have. The way they combined things such as yogurt with berries and honey created a perfect mix of taste and pleasure. I felt like the girl in romance novels who moaned when they ate a dish because, before that, I thought that was stupid. No, man, this was Mmmmmmm good. I had never tasted so much good food in my life. And did I tell you how beautiful and refined this place was? It's not like a formal gown restaurant, but man, you gotta wear your Sunday best or your cutest date outfit because that place is too cute to be boring in weekend yoga pants and t-shirts. Even the prices made sense. The only terrible part is that it's deep in Houston and not nearby me. Take the woman you love or want to impress here. And I gotta bug my husband now to take me back, because this place was too perfect to not return.

We were greeted promptly. Our waitress was very friendly. It's a very cute place restaurant. I like that the tables are spaced apart so it doesn't feel cramped. There's complimentary bread, they come out hot and served with butter. I really liked the braised beef but the vegetables that came with the dish was the unexpected star. The steak and frites, we ordered with the peppercorn sauce. The sauce was very tasty and made the perfectly cooked steak even better. We enjoyed our dinner here.

French restaurant. Might not be good with little kids. Steak frites and short ribs were perfect. We order medium rare to appreciate the steaks freshness. Short ribs were not too sweet. We didnt care for the escargot because it tasted like its missing salt. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance can be a mid level bar scene or a romantic dinner with chandelier. Really decent french restaurant.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks for the first time ever and did not even realize at this restaurant was here because we are always at Discovery Green or the Toyota Center. My friend wanted to try French food and this had good reviews so we showed up for lunch with a reservation around 11 and there really wasn't anybody there but at 12 it started filling up quickly. She had a service animal and they're very accommodating, but they also put us in the back room so that there wasn't as much movement to disturb the animal. Our waiter was fantastic and made great recommendations. The rolls that came out for appetizers and before the main course were hot and fresh and that perfectly crisp outside. For appetizers, my friend got the crabcakes which were delicious and I got the escargot which were super tender and so flavorful. For lunch, my friend got the mushroom risotto which had so many mushrooms in it and I feel like a lot of places fall short when they say mushroom anything because it's just regular creamy mushroom mushrooms, and then whatever the dishes, but this had at least four different varieties of mushrooms and it was pretty much mostly mushrooms with risotto, which was amazing. I had the linguine Alfredo with the meat and it was so rich that I couldn't finish it, but it was also incredibly tasty. I brought it for lunch the next day and it pretty much burned a hole in the paper plate because all of the sauces are made from scratch and French style is with pure butter, but it was just as good heated back up. Had crème brûlée for dessert and they hit the mark with that too. Parking can be tricky and you should park on the street close to it if that's what you want. We parked at Phoenicia , but we were actually going to go shopping at Phoenicia after so we didn't violate any of the honor system. I cannot wait to go back because it was so good.

My first thought regarding Brasserie du Parc is: this café is perhaps cosplaying as a French dining establishment, and kind of misses the mark authenticity-wise. Nonetheless, I had a good experience dining here with a friend one afternoon. Étoile Cuisine et Bar is my favorite French restaurant in Houston thus far...I remember ordering vichyssoise and escargot from Étoile. The chef there, Philippe Verpiand, also was once affiliated with Brasserie du Parc. Maybe that's what's missing at Brasserie: a real French person running the kitchen. Haha. I thought the dining room was much smaller than I thought it would be. The posters in the bar were cool, but to me, that doesn't quite establish ambience. Elsewhere throughout the restaurant, I didn't think the decor was memorable. In fact, it was rather basic. The lunch and cocktail, in my opinion, were quite good. Parking is more of a challenge. There are areas for improvement, but I enjoyed my time at Brasserie du Parc. For more details: 5/5 Lychee Symphony Cocktail. This was a delicious, sophisticated cocktail. Made with: Lychee liquer, vodka, passionfruit, ginger and simple syrup. 5/5 Bread with Butter. The bread here is so good. 5/5 San Pellegrino water. Of course. 5/5 Crepe Soufflé - Grand Marnier Creme Anglaise with Raspberries. A great dessert. 4/5 Crab Cake with Remoulade sauce and Arugula salad, with radish and avocado. 3/5 Ambience 3/5 Did it seem like an authentic French culinary experience? Not really 2/5 Service 2/5 Wait Times

I came here for a lunch with a few vendors and it was during restaurant week. We sat down immediately as we had reservations. The restaurant's atmosphere was very nice and you can definitely tell it was French inspired. My only issue was that it was hot in there. I don't know if the ac was out that day but it was rather humid. I loved the Crab Cake. I would just order that if I could. The salmon was okay, I just wasn't a fan of the tomato based soup at the bottom. But overall nice place to dine

Downtown parking is either street meter or super expensive lots. We had to drive around for a while to find a street parking. The restaurant was cute, felt like you stepped into a cafe in Paris. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. And the food was yummy! I liked the avocado with the tuna tartare, and it came with little crostinis. I tasted my friend's soup and that was rich, creamy and delicious! The duck Confit! OMG it was so good. The skin was crispy. The sauce, divine. I loved everything about that dish. I went with a simple dessert of strawberry and ice cream. I really enjoyed that brunch and it definitely was worth it with HRW.

We came here for the 3-course Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner (now $55 as opposed to another reviewer from 2019 saying it was $35...oh the good ol days). Price feels steep for what is on offer these days. I started with their French Onion Soup (delicious), then had their Beef Bourguignon (beef was tender, the veggies were meh), and then finished with their Apple Tart (quite yummy). Service was friendly but at times sparse; picky on my part but they give you a tiny water glass in the middle of the summer and then don't keep it full as often as I would like (a me issue, but still). Parking: valet or street

Brunch at Brasserie du Parc is the quintessential Houston Restaurant Weeks experience: 3 full-sized courses for $25, friendly staff, beautiful ambiance...and maybe a big crowd. No matter - you're here for a leisurely, slow-paced meal, not to fill up and run out! :) I've had the pleasure of trying several items on their menu but always find myself returning to the herbaceous, buttery escargots, the tender, saucy duck confit, and the classic, perfectly shattering crème brûlée. I'm a fan of their complimentary bread service, most recently consisting of a blueberry muffin, a petite palmier, and a mini concha, though nothing beats their warm housemade crusty bread (especially when dipped into the aforementioned escargot butter). They are accommodating for small and large groups alike, and reservations are not too hard to come by as long as you plan ahead. Now that I think about it, I really should come here more often outside the month of August - the expansive menu and gorgeous windowed dining room easily make this a Downtown classic.

Ask the Community - Brasserie du Parc

Is this restaurant safe walking distance to the Toyota Center? I'm looking for a place to have dinner before a concert with my teenage daughter. Additionally, how much time should I allot for dinner on a Saturday night as to not be late for the show?

Probably need to make a reservation before as they're short staffed and seem to allot tables for different methods of reservation (Open Table, walk-ins, etc...).

    How is parking?

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ
