Was so excited to eat at Rosie Cannonball and try their reverse happy hour!! I tried to book a reservation a week before but it was fully booked for dinner. Thankfully I turned on notifications if there was a cancellation and I got one for 9:30pm for Friday a few days before! I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, this place gets packed. When we arrived we waited like 10 or so minutes to be seated which was a bit long imo but it's all good. The restaurant is decorated nicely and dimmed the lights for dinner. They were also playing some great music so waiting wasn't bad. :) When we were seated our server, Abigail gave us some sparkling wine to start with. She was great and explained the reverse happy hour and answered our questions. For drinks, I got the Lambrusco Spritz and it was delicious and strong. My friend got the cosmo and she enjoyed it as well. We did come for the happy hour so we had to get a couple pizzas! My friend and I ordered the Cacio e Pepe pizza and I ordered the pepperoni pizza. The pizza is top notch, perfectly stone fired and cheesy. The Cacio e Pepe is definitely unique and honestly tastes so much like a Cacio e Pepe sauce, we loved it. When Abigail came back with the bill, it came with a postcard for remembrance of Rosie Cannonball. I love small details like this; a postcard or matchbox! I had a wonderful dinner with great food, company and service! I will be back and try their pastas, salads and more cocktails. read more

My group came in for a Sunday dinner reservation and enjoyed the 1/2 off wine bottle special of Francesco Vezzelli (il selezione' emilia-romagna, lambrusco di sorbara) and FOCACCIA DI RECCO (warm flatbread with mortadella & lira rossa crescenza). The focaccia was definitely the stand out favorite for me, and it was helpful having a sommelier on staff to give us wine samples before making our choice. Because we had a vegetarian among us, we each ordered the following veggies as our entrees to share: ROASTED CORN (ajo blanco, marcona almond salsa, ricotta salata) was pretty spicy for my taste, but was good with tortilla chips as leftovers the next day. TUNA TARTARE (paprika aioli, meyer lemon, carta di musica) GRILLED RATATOUILLE (heirloom tomato, sweet pepper, eggplant). read more

Beautiful location with a great atmosphere and the music is on point. Definitely a chill spot to vibe, the entire place is so moody, I love a sexy bar/restaurant with dim lighting. I do recommend reservations since they do have a happy hour from 9:30pm-10:30 every Tuesday-Sunday. Which includes half off pizza and all wine. Sunday they do have all bottles from there wine list half off as well. You will definitely leave with a good buzz. I also didn't realize that they rotate certain items from the menu, which is why I'm not sure what that white pasta was. The bartender did recommend it since I was just trying a few things to get a good experience on a few dishes. My favorite out of everything I tried was definitely the peaches & burrata, to die for!! The chili oil on top was an amazing touch, light appetizer with great flavor. Secondly the red pasta was a favorite as well, I am typically more of a white sauce pasta kinda girl but this def made an impression. Pizza was good only thing is I prefer a thinner crust and a crunch, which I believe if I would've told them that. They could've make it happen, since their pizza kitchen is open to the public eye. You can watch them toss the dough in the air, how they prepare the pizza, which is pretty cool. Overall great place for date night & friends night. They only have valet which is complimentary but they accept tips. read more

Rosie Cannonball is michelin recommended for good quality + good value cooking (bib gourmand), so I knew I had to go. I also saw that they did a collaboration pizza with Loro (pastrami rendang pizza). Easy to book a reservation, I would recommend reserving since they tend to fill up fast. Service is amazing! Food comes out fast, the waiters are attentive, and they even bring out complimentary rose wine / non alcoholic rose for you and your party to cheers with. I think that really added to the experience/ambiance of the restaurant. Kudos to them for that touch - very good. I tried an appetizer, pizza, pasta, and dessert to really get a good spread of their menu. - Tuna tartare: It had nicely cut fresh tuna cubes. They are on the fishier side, I'd say. It has a citrus element from the lemon and it comes on a paprika aioli sauce bed that is reminiscent of spicy mayo. The scooping vessel was a thin crispy flatbread which I enjoyed. Overall though, I would probably opt for a different appetizer, since it was good but not something I would re order personally. - Pastrami rendang pizza: I love how it pays homage to the flavors of south east asia. Quite rare to see singaporean/malaysian/indonesian flavors in an italian spot. I think they executed this wonderfully. You truly get the traditional flavor of rendang. The pork belly pastrami is charred and smoky offering a nice little crunchy juicy meat element. The dough is nice and thin without any flop, and the fish sauce caramel sauce is kind of like a sweet bbq. - Cavatelli Bolognese: A classic pasta dish, nothing too notable here, but I do want to highlight that they most likely make the pasta in house since it feels homemade and has a nice al-dente chew. Much appreciated. - Honey cake: This dessert is on the sweeter side, perhaps a tad bit too sweet, but overall I really enjoyed it. I'd say the dollop of cream on the side has a cold ice cream texture but the flavors of a sweet salted butter. I love the little toffee crunchy bits. You get elements of caramel, toffee, salt, and butter from the dish. The cake itself is good too, layered with a buttercream. I'd recommend ordering this dish. Occasion: good for any occasion - a hang out, date night, girls night, family dinner, anything really. It's a bit of a nice elevated casual spot, so you don't have to formally dress up but it is a place where you can be cute. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Rosie Cannonball, and I think the service here really shines. read more

Ordered: - Gnocchi Al Polpo - It was good, but honestly I would also be happy if it was an octopus appetizer and didn't have gnocchi. - Rapini Linguine - yummy. This one had a little spicy kick to it that I wasn't expecting. - Pastrami Rendang - Very unique pizza. Pork belly pastrami, fish sauce caramel, and pickled cabbage. It honestly works. I wouldn't say it was my favorite pizza ever but I enjoyed it. - Pannacotta - Peaches and apricot sorbet was yummy. The almond crumble was quite big, I prefer a smaller crumble. Their late night happy hour 9:30-10:30 is such a good deal 50% off pizza. Definitely would consider coming back during that time and trying their other pizzas. read more

Rosie Cannonball is located right on the busy Westheimer strip, so be prepared to valet or spend a little time finding street parking. The restaurant sits tucked away on the corner of the building and has a cute, chic atmosphere that makes it perfect for a date night or a family dinner. The space is fairly limited, so I would definitely recommend making reservations in advance. Despite the cozy size, it was very kid-friendly and welcoming. We ordered the pizzas and the bolognese pasta, and both were delicious. The wait time for our food was surprisingly quick, especially considering how busy the restaurant can get. Overall, the food tasted great, the atmosphere was charming, and the experience was enjoyable from start to finish. read more

I really enjoyed the vibes and food! Deazia was superb! She exceeded all expectations and hospitality was deff served. She was knowledgeable, friendly and bubbly! Excellent recommendations as well. We started with a complimentary bubbly - CLETO CHIARLI (very light and sweet, quite enjoyed it). Also, got a classic margarita with Reposado and Tajin on the rim (stronggg but good). For apps, we got the CARROT BRAVAS & BURRATA (had a nice crunch) and ROASTED CORN (flavorful). My favorite Main was deff the Pepperoni Pizza (the crust was crispy and bread itself was chewy as well, the tiny pepperoni were tasty as well. I'd just come back for the pizza itself). My other favorite was the CAVATELLI ALLA BOLOGNESE (by far my favorite pasta shape of the night and the texture was perf. Very fresh and made in house. The sauce was great as well and paired well). A special note is that they have HH half off pizza and cocktails on Tues-Sun 9pm-10pm dine in only. For dessert, you must try their CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE A LA MODE (brown butter cookie that's homemade and warm with some icecream was keyyyy). Their honey cake was also notable and delish. We also got to try a variety of gelatos (vanilla, mint and pina colada - my fave). Overall, can't wait to be back for more pizza! Parking - Valet or avail handicap parking in their plaza Restrooms - individual stalls and clean/dark read more

Visited Rosie's on a Saturday night for pizza and some wine! I had a reservation and sat at the bar. Austin was one of the bartenders and he was amazing--he did not miss with his suggestions! One of his suggestions was the Cacio e Pepe pizza (added sausage and mushrooms) and it was delicious! No notes really! I really enjoyed the staff, everyone was friendly and had a nice aura! Also, not sure who was on the aux but the playlist was fire. They played songs that if you knew, you vibed! I am definitely returning! read more

Ambiance and service were amazing!! However, I do not think I would be back. The pizza was not my favorite. Supreme pizza just tasted like tomato, not meat. Also, the dough was floppy, it didnt hold up to a good pizza structure. The pasta was just okay. There was no wow factor for the level of restaurant they are. I was disappointed. I am only giving three stars because the service & ambiance was great. read more

All that and then some! This place is a just as spectacular as everyone says it is. From starters to drink to dessert. You can't go wrong with anything. We started with a classic G&T along with this carrot and burrata dish that was such a unique blend of flavor and texture. I could eat about four bowls. Their pizzas are classically great, but don't forget to add some dipping sauces or you are missing out. The honey cake is simply delicious, add an espresso martini to kick it up a notch! Overall A++++ in every aspect! read more

Decided to try our luck at dinner close after opening without reservations. This is from someone who eats out a lot in Houston. We were walking by and saw a bunch of open tables outside. We asked the host if we can have a spot for two, we had to be somewhere in an hour so we let them know the table occupancy will be very fast. We were told no. I asked if we can sit outside at the open tables, we were told no. They were reserved anywhere from 30-45 min out. We added if we can sit at the bar, we were told no. At 5:30 pm we were told they absolutely cannot accommodate us. This was definitely a first in Houston. We weren't told, hey our bar is first come first serve, we expect wait of X minutes. It was NO. I have wanted to try to this place for quite some time. Needless to say I am not interested anymore to try to get a reservations. We had a sit down dinner down the street, on our way back the 3 open tables that were there outside when we came were still open. So this wasnt about having a reservations. I am not sure what Michelin saw, but your customer service ain't it. read more

Had a great dinner here during their reverse happy hour! Highly recommend visiting during their reverse HH, for half off glass of wine and pizza. Forgot to get photos of our pizzas, but they were great. We got the Rosie's Supreme (very delicious, our favorite) and the Pizza Alla Nerano (also good). They also give you complimentary small pours of a sparkling red (Lambrusco) upon seating, which we ended up ordering a glass of. Staff were very friendly and loved the ambience. I went to Rosie Cannonball with a group of friends on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great experience. Make a reservation -- it's an absolute must. They also offer complimentary valet, which is super convenient (just don't forget to tip your driver!). Even though it was packed, our waiter was incredibly sweet and attentive the entire night. They started us off with some complimentary wine and we paired that with the focaccia, which was warm, fluffy, and delicious. For pizzas, we ordered two: the spinach artichoke dip pizza, which was good with great flavor, and the hot honey pepperoni pizza, which completely stole the show. It was a 10/10 -- so good that I already have another reservation this weekend just to go back for it. For dessert, we had their famous honey cake, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It's a must-order -- seriously, save room for it. We also tried the chocolate chip à la mode, which was really good, and since it was my birthday, our waiter brought out some gelato, which was a really nice touch and tasted great. For drinks, I had an amaretto sour and the Montrose Mami -- both were good, but I especially loved the Montrose Mami. It's basically like a piña colada and super refreshing. Overall, this place is popular for a reason. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should. read more

Went to here to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing! Here is what we got and what I would recommend... The Focaccia is a must, 10/10 The tuna tartare also delicious 8/10 We ordered 3 pizzas - the pepperoni 9/10, supreme 9/10, and cacio e pepe 10/10. The cacio e pepe is a must. It was outstanding. Our sever recommended the salsa verde with it and he was right. Btw.. get all 3 sauces and the hot honey. They are delicious and will elevate your pizza experience. We also got the chicken basquaise 9/10 and the bolognese 10/10. All chefs kiss. Dessert - the honey cake was incredible 10/10 and the rhubarb was great 8/10. Vibe and ambiance 10/10 - cool place! Now, the server was ok. Nothing special, not very attentive. Could have honestly been better, given the fact that they have a bib gourmand recognition and there's a lot of buzz surrounding it. I would definitely recommended this place. We will def be back. read more

My colleague Maria put me on to Rosie's. I knew I could trust her pizza reviews and I'm glad I listened. I came specifically for the pepperoni pizza and it was worth it! Fresh ingredients and a nice crust, and I opted for extra pepperoni to make sure I wasn't disappointed. Rosie Cannonball is Houston's only Italian Michelin-listed restaurant. The vibe, ambiance, food, and service is perfect for a girls' night or dinner date. We received complimentary glasses of rosé and a blistered bean salad upon being seated. I definitely felt wined and dined. The high tables even have bag hooks! I don't even know where to begin... This place is the bees knees.... Bomb.com...... My fire and desire..... Just whoa! The best meals I had in 2025 were all in Houston. I might need to go ahead, Pull the trigger, and sell my Dallas home! PSA!!! Ya'll, YOU MUST GO DURING HAPPY HOUR (9pm-10pm, daily). I know an hour doesn't seem like very long so make your resy for around 8:45 and be ready spaghetti when they call your name 5-15 min later. DO NOT TRY TO BE CUTE AND WALK IN, YOU WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN HAPPY HOUR. The pizzas and drinks are half off! An amazing deal. Please get the charred cabbage. You will thank me! The dressing, The duck, The crispy skin--Oh my! Not a cheap dish, $20 for a small portion but well worth it. The magic in the pizzas is definitely in the crust. I have no idea what they're putting in it, but it can't be legal. A slight sweetness--chewy but tender, not tough! The pizzas are big enough for 2 people to split. The Lambrusco spritz was a little smaller than I had hoped, but for $7 during HH, I shut my mouth! Our waitress was nice, very cool and well versed of how Ms. Cannonball and her team run. Per her offering, we began the evening with a nice complimentary pour of delicious rosé. Finished the evening with the honey cake which is a must get! Pretty small portion there too...definitely could've had my own, but I have a 2 piece to wear in 2 weeks, so whatevs. Even though I'm 4 hours away, yours truly will be a regular! read more

Extremely disappointed with our recent order from this restaurant via Uber Eats. We ordered two pizzas (cheese and spinach artichoke) and two pasta dishes (bolognese and pasta norma). The spinach artichoke pizza was completely burnt on the bottom, to the point where it was inedible, and had an unexpectedly sour flavor. At $28, it was a total waste of money. Furthermore, the pasta portions were shockingly small, arriving in tiny 16 oz deli containers despite the high price points ($26 for the bolognese and $24 for the pasta norma). For the cost, the value and quality were unacceptable. We will not be ordering from here again. read more

Love this little spot! So grateful for complimentary valet in Montrose. The space is comfy and casual but still elevated to make a great celebration or date night spot. Service is great, they give you a sample of an Italian sparkling wine to start. They have plenty of fun cocktails and wines to choose from. The charred cabbage was fantastic- love the duck meat and crunchy bits on top, and the charred edges of the leaves were so flavorful. Lamb ragu was very indulgent but would definitely get again- so flavorful and savory, the sauce was creamy, and i could tackle a whole bowl myself. The pizza options are also fun! The spinach and artichoke dip pizza really did taste like it had the dip on the top. The crust is more of the soft and fluffy variety rather than the crisp type you find at other places. I still enjoyed immensely! The dessert menu is worth perusing. The fig and pistachio clafoutis was so delish, it had savory aspects to it and texture was very unique, like a cake with more body. The crème fraiche gelato wasn't too sweet and paired perfectly! Deserving of the Michelin guide designation for sure! Can't wait to come back and try more things!! read more

I'm really confused as to why the reservation list is booked out a week in advance, because this place simply did not live up to the hype. While the service was great and the ambience was nice, the food was a huge letdown. The Pepperoni Pizza: The crust lacked flavor and had a cardboard, frozen-pizza texture. The pepperoni itself tasted like a cheap, low-quality brand. The Ham & Pineapple Pizza: It was entirely one flavor, only pineapple was the only flavor coming through. The Bolognese: It wasn't quite as flavorless as the pizza, but it was completely forgettable and I wouldn't order it again. read more

One of the most memorable and delicious dining experiences I've had in Houston. Ambiance is absolutely incredible, lively yet elegantly dim. Servers are so kind with great recommendations and attention to detail. Food is out of this world, every single dish wowed me. I simply can't say enough good things! Focaccia - a crispy flatbread with honey drizzled on top and stuffed with cheese and arugula. A pleasant surprise in texture and flavor that left me wanting more! Charred cabbage - might have been my favorite dish of the whole night, surprisingly. Who knew cabbage could be so amazing? The smoky charred flavor paired with the anchovy sauce and crispy duck skin made every bite literally magnetic, I found myself going bite for bite until the dish was clean. Pork chop - the beauty of this dish was in completing each bite with the bed of black eyed peas and the salsa verde. The pork was thick and tender, the beans were soft and flavorful, and the salsa was a tangy kick. Even though we were already so full, we couldn't help ourselves from wasting a crumb of this. Lamb ragu - rich and gamey, with a tiny kick of spice and a tangy yogurt sauce on top. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the dish was the perfect size to finish off our meal. Another unique standout! Pear tartine - one of the best desserts I've had. This pear reduction on top of a shortbread cookie, paired with a salted caramel gelato, sent my mouth to heaven. Very important to get some of the gelato in each bite! I was so glad I tried this instead of the honey cake (although I'll have to try the cake next time!). If I could eat here for the first time again I would. They have earned their Michelin guide recommendation for sure. Upon arrival we were sat promptly and provided a tasting of their Lambrusco. The feel of the restaurant is intimate and homey- making for a great date night. We ordered the Montrose Mami and Negroni cocktails. Both well balanced and delicious. We shared the grilled shrimp with garlic focaccia, the charred cabbage with duck confit, and Rosie's supreme pizza. Every single dish was amazing. The shrimp was served with a butter that was buttery and complimented the focaccia well. The cabbage had a creamy anchovy dressing that was surprisingly good. The pizza dough was fresh, not too thin or cheesy, and a great serving of fennel sausage. Our server was attentive and gave background on the restaurant and their house made items. After seeing that there was a great happy hour for pizza and drinks from 9-10PM, we wanted to go that evening. We were unsuccessful in getting reservations via OpenTable or by phone, but they said they had tables set aside for HH walk-ins so we decided to give it a go. We arrived right at 9 and were told it's a 50 min but that they'd text us when the table was ready and the suggested waiting at Montrose Cheese & Wine (Nextdoor). We went over to the wine bar and luckily got a text just in time to order under the happy hour. We hurried over and asked to place our order almost immediately. We each ordered a cocktail and two pizzas to share (but we got 3 due to a kitchen error which was amazing). The cocktails tasted great (I had an espresso martini) and the pizza was good as well. While the pizza wasn't my favorite ever, it's hard to beat with the HH deal they offer! The restaurant is upscale casual so you have flexibility in attire but I suggest dressing up a bit. Great Italian spot. You get a complimentary taste of red wine which is cute. Everything we got was good but the focaccia is an absolute must. It's very big and is stuffed with a meat and cheese. The fig dip was sweet and a little savory. I'm a fig girl so I would get it again as well. The southern smoke pizza is like a sub sandwich on a nice flat bread. Very unique and filling. I would miss the lamb ragú. It wasn't bad but it wasn't very interesting. The lamb was all you could really taste. Honestly I was full after the focaccia and fig dip. Elegant and elite comfort food. A high and difficult concept and one that Rosie Cannonball accomplishes with ease. The interior was lovely, with an effortless grandness. I loved that it was a booth! We had the focaccia, roasted fig, Rosie's Supreme pizza and lamb ragu. Everything was delicious and generously portioned! The breads were soft and well baked, while all of the meats and sauces had an impressive depth of flavor. The spritz di Rosie was also a perfect addition, adding a fruity and refreshing aspect to the heavier meal. With all the buzz around Rosie' gourmand, which was retained for the second yr...hot off the press...I'd wanting to be back for another go. Also finally got to enjoy some patio weather tho Texas likes to be very extreme going from 90 degrees last week to 60s by evening. I did love that they have blankets if the chill gets to be a bit much. Focaccia flatbread- the honey with the mortadella....perfect combo. Heirloom tomato salad was refreshing. Blistered beans were a table favourite. Zucchini ended up being yellow squash but still a lovey dish with some nice crunchy topping. The pork cassoulet was a flavourful and satisfying dish even for someone who isn't seeking pork. Lamb ragu- not what I expected with more of a meatball than broken in bits, but solid flavour and sauce. Cacio e Pepe pizza- flavours definitely reminiscent of its namesake. Fluffy crust. Good. I managed to convince the table to try a more desserty dessert so we went with the pear tart- this was perfect. Great balance, not too sweet, and loved the salty notes from the salted caramel ice cream. Did not explore the wines tonight tho this is what they are more known for! (Approaching VPN authenticity...sorta) Ya know? I kinda had trepidation, reviewing the menu tonight. And I just defaulted to the Farm Salad. Turns out, I really liked it. From the brown butter crunchy breadcrumbs to the watermelon radishes and the vinaigrette. I would order it again. Probably would enjoy having it at the bar. Two of our party ordered pizze. Two kinds. I had a taste. I liked. Texture more Neopolitan VPN. Good flavor profile. I think they are doing the pizzeria quite well here. Photo is after we dived into the food. If you plan for dessert , I would recommend skipping the honey cake, and the espresso chocolate mousse and defaulting to the Basque style cheesecake. A random rumination: people like me, who love to cook, are often content to stay home , trying new recipes. I mean, I can make a perfect salad. I don't need to dine out to have one. So for dining out is a whole, social experience. An opportunity to be with friends over dinner. So when a restaurant is really noisy, well, a key component of dining out, conversation over food, gets thrown out the window. So tonight, I had to lean into our other five table guests in order to hear and participate in the table conversation. I've been to several places this month and have been surprised by the noise level. read more

Been wanting to come here for a while, but somehow always ended up skipping it. The night finally arrived, and it happened to be just in time for late-night happy hour pizza and booze. Reservations are definitely a must. The place was packed on a Thursday night, and even with a reservation, we still had to wait a few minutes to be seated. As mentioned, we were mainly here for the late happy hour, and it did not disappoint. From 9-10 PM, the pizzas and alcoholic beverages are half off. Such a great deal, and dare I say it might be the best time to come. We ordered the Carrot Bravas & Burrata, Pork Chop Cassoulet, and the famous Cacio e Pepe pizza. All three were excellent, but I'd happily come back for the pork chop and pizza alone. The pork chop was tender and flavorful, while the pizza lived up to the hype. The food is average at best. The only amazing items are their gelatos. Also, you cannot call in to order to go. Your options are to order through an app with severely inflated prices, or order in person and burning 30-40 minutes waiting for your food to be prepped. I tried to order off toast for a pickup and the cost was roughly 50% higher than ordering in person pickup. Terrible customer experience and average food overall. read more

Pizza was amazing. Service was impeccable. Drinks were so good. They have reverse happy hour from 9-10 and all of the drinks were included. Very nice classy place but the music was sooo good. Will be returning. read more
