Gorgeous place absolutely gorgeous and the food is really good !!

Do not come here on a Saturday unless you have absolutely nothing to do for the rest of the day. The staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. Our drink order took over 30 minutes, and we eventually had to ask another waiter for help. Shout-out to Roger, though--he really saved the experience. He was attentive, helpful, and genuinely cared. Our actual server was nice, I guess, but seemed new and a bit lost. Food-wise, this visit was a miss. The crab au gratin was very bland, which was disappointing. The croissants, however, were amazing--easily the best thing we had. The sea bass I ordered never came, and I didn't want to wait even longer for another entrée. To their credit, the manager stepped in and comped us a lobster pasta, which was a solid recovery move. Overall, between the long waits and kitchen issues, it wasn't a great experience--but good management and Roger's service kept it from being a total loss. The manger tried his best to make it right but to many bad thing happened !

The reviews seemed very mixed. Yet, I had a wonderful experience. The staff was kind and attentive. I went for lunch so not super busy. Perfect timing really. The decor is so beautiful, definitely VIBES! It's very light food and I love that, very fresh, and colorful!

Return visit for brunch! (Second review 3 star) First review;(Halloween birthday lunch, which went away when I post the second review 4.4 stars) I've been wanting to try the Cowboy Breakfast plate, that offers two small waffles, 3 eggs, two types of bacons and potatoes. Thors was my first time trying lamb bacon and it was fantastic! I did discover on this visit there no comp bread. All three of My eggs came out poached, when I requested them to be only one poached and the other over medium plus The correction happened but I wasn't clear if it was going to an additional charge (given previous experience and lack of communicated details) I wasn't clear sure to send two back. It was the lack of attentiveness on this visit versus the last visit. I ordered a OJ, (not listed in menu) price is $5 no refills. I didn't get a refill on my water either. And it was less busy than my last visit. And I had the same waiter as before. Which he is really nice. I still look forward to bringing my mom here to visit for her celebration year! Or before that.

First time here for my best friend's birthday. The food was delicious and our server made the experience memorable. Come grab a glass of champagne and enjoy!

Stopped in for happy hour with the girls. The restaurant is beautiful from the patio , to the bar and dining area. We had a couple cocktails and some light bites. While the food was okay we weren't blown away. However do think I need to come back for brunch for sure and maybe dinner. The manager and bartenders were very welcoming and entertaining.

Great brunch beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Free parking in garage, valet and also self park. Pluses 1) crab au gratin with big chunks of crab was delicious and good amount 2) shrimp and grits big and spicy shrimp with a nice kick 3) duck 4) eclair dessert pretty and sweet treat 5) chocolate dessert yummy 6) birthday treat with macaroon Areas to improve 1) just minor points, table didn't have knives and the server brought some to us 2) water filled our sparkling water with regular water before we could let him know - maybe use different color glass for staff to know ? 3) our food came all at on once spacing it out may have been better We had a delightful time and would be happy to return. They have a big patio outside too. Highly recommended for special occasions!

I was invited to a birthday dinner here. It was my First time in this area. We were able to get parking in the parking right by the restaurant. As we entered we were pleasantly stunned with the beautiful decor. It's amazingly fancy and upscale, from the chandeliers and the assorted wines on the shelves to the wall lighting fixtures, real fancy! Our table was to the side with another group, very private. I can't tell you I remembered our servers because they didn't engage much with us other than taking the orders quickly and leaving. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. I had an allergy reaction to something that was on the cheese platter but maybe it was my fault because I didn't tell them I was allergic to honey even though we weren't asked, but hey! Got my meds and I enjoyed the night. There's also a cute area upstairs by the restroom to take pics. It's small and at the time it was only there or the stairs leading up were the only photo ops we saw. Overall a good evening. NB: when we got our invites we were told for a group reservation you're not allowed to pay separately. So we all had to zelle the person who booked and she was able to pay for the table. (This is Just for reference)

This was my second time at this restaurant and I can't wait to come back. We had the 8 oz steak, lobster pasta, Atlantic cod, and scallops. GIRL. I was in heaven. The food is AMAZING. I drove 45 mins to get here and I'd do it any day. Joslyn, my server, was not only pleasant but extremely friendly and made me feel at home. She took care of us like family. Truly the best dining experience! Thank you Joslyn!

So, walking in, the decor is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, in recent months, you are not allowed to take pictures, so that does put a damper considering how pretty it is. But still come picture-ready. In terms of food, I came for dinner, and my steak and creamed spinach were delicious, although I would've appreciated a different sauce pairing or seasoning? The service was also just okay. Considering how nice it is, I would expect more. Overall, I think it is great for special events due to the vibe, but not necessarily the best if you're looking for a dinner with the best food.

Came here for a friend's bday dinner. There was a group of 7 of us. The stairs are so pretty in here but they do not allow you to take photos there. Kind of sad about this! I ordered the lobster pasta and it was really good! Great portions! The sauce had amazing flavor and the presentation was really nice. Overall a pricey restaurant, would come back for a nice occasion! The installations on the ceiling were beautiful. Ambiance would be great for a girls night out, or date night. Parking is easy in the shopping center right in front. The only complaint I had was you had to pay the bill from your phone and the system they used made it really confusing to split/pay bill, and we had problems with that towards the end.

Traditional French restaurant with some western African flair in terms of the food. Parking is a bit tricky as you will have to pay for parking no matter where you park but it's worth it once you walk in and are greeted by luxurious boutique editorial dinning decor. The bar is a lit marble with a very French inspired layout. A U shape allowing maximum efficiency for the bar tenders. We were seated to the outside patio which was neatly decorated. They were doing a few tastings of tequila, vodka, gin and mezcal. We ordered almost every dish on the happy hour menu. My favorite being the shrimp bites, a wonderful yet slightly spicy curried sauced shrimp. Very delightful. For the drink I had the hibiscus lemon drop with Amara's as the liquor of choice, very smooth, fragrant and elevated the dishes served to us this evening.

I dined here during HRW which was a while ago, but I'l do my best to jog down memory lane. We had a company dinner here and managed to book the private back room with a full view of the kitchen. Immediately, the vibes were off the charts!! The restaurant is beautiful, very pleasing to the eye. Even on a Monday, it was lively, and upbeat. I would say that it was almost too loud with all of the chatter going on inside, but once we made it to our room, and our server closed the glass doors... silence. The room was practically sound-proof which I thought was amazing. It certainly allowed us to enjoy our night with some privacy. It was also quite novel to be able to look over and see the flow of the back of the house. I no longer recall the individual dishes we had, but I do recalled that everything I ate, I loved. Nothing disspointed. Chef Lionel Debon would occasionally step out of the kitchen to check on us, see how we were liking the food, and describe to us the journey of a dish from scratch to finished product. He also invited us to step into the kitchen to get a closer look at the inner working of the kitchen. Last but not least, the service was impeccable. The gentleman taking care of us throughout the enight did so, so eloquently. He handled service with great care and organization, and held great conversation as well. 10/10. Bring your cute outfits, a big appetite, and your cameras! Highly reccomend!

Amazing service. Food was superb! The decor is beautiful. Very intimate settings and you can actually hear everyone at your table...not overwhelming loud like most restaurants.

3/6/26-Michelin Man? More like Michelin...maaaaaaan…read more.. In good Mel and the Doctor fashion, a rough week equates to "let's go have a great night." We get dressed up and venture to Le Jardinier. While we were super excited and ready for a great Friday evening, we checked in with an unwelcoming hostess. Mind you, this is our first impression since we have never been to any of the locations. He asked the hostess if we would be seated close or after our reservation time (that would determine if we would have a drink at the bar), we received a condescending toned response of "you can have a seat and I will work on getting a status update on that." Duly noted. A few minutes later we were told we could go to the bar to only then be escorted to the table. So we will look past that "weirdness" of initial service and get ready for a stiff drink...the bartenders know what they are doing! Martinis were the name of the game and they were perfect. Just perfect. The prefixe and wine pairing was the game plan. But before the fun stuff, came the bread service. Bread was more than bread, it was warm savory pillows with the perfect butter. Made a crumbly mess while tearing up the bread basket, expected table crumbler service, after, nothing. For Michelin, we expected the fine dining cleaning in between each course. The service was odd, and the servers seemed cold. The kanpachi and the scallop of the prefixe were Michelin. Overall, we might give it another shot, maybe it was a bad day...but still grateful to get in last minute due to rodeo season. Let me know your experience!

My wife had made a reservation in advance with the note that this a dinner to celebrate my 70th birthday. As we recently move4d to a new house we were not able to have a larger event so we decided that a nice diner for 2 would be a good alternative. We both love French cuisine and have been fortunate to experience it in many places in France. So we selected Etoile as the menu looked both authentic and interesting. We arrived 5 minutes late for our reservation. The person at the entrance checked our reservation and showed us a table right at the entrance (no recognition that she was aware that it was for a birthday celebration). We asked to be moved to another table further in and was shown to one by the wall with tables close on both side. Seated we were offered house water but we asked for a bottle of water. Which arrived. The waiter asked if we would like a cocktail or a glass of wine we asked for a few minutes to study the drink and food menu. As we were doing this 2 ladies were seate3d on the table next to us (close enough so we heard their conversation clearly). I decided to order an interesting cocktail with Earl Gary infused ice. We put our menus down ready to order but no waiter. In the meantime the table next to us got bread, drinks and ordered. the sam happened 2 tables further down the wall. When the drink arrived it was overly strong with the dominant alcohol killing all other flavors. Now 30 minutes since seated and not been asked if we wanted any bread not had we placed any food order while the table next to use had got their started and finished it (don't ask if anybody had recognized the purpose of the dinner). So with the quiet dinner for 2 celebrating my 70th birthday (Born Oct 27...you can work out the year) becoming a tragic event and the having lost interest in the food we decided to leave so when the waiter finally arrived to take our order we asked for the check and paid for the water and drink. As we walked out the waiter said Happy Birthday.... So cannot comment on the food. Maybe we will go back one day as the menu looks interesting but it will be awhile and I trust you understand the rating. for those who wonder we went to Truluck's on Westheimer where table were set up for a birthday celebration but more on that in a separate review

I took my wife here last year and she loved the place so much that she couldn't wait to come back. She literally called the restaurant "perfection" in her own Yelp Review. Of course, that meant we were going to make repeat trips here, even though with all the restaurants we have around Houston, I prefer to continue trying new venues. This year was a complete 180 from last year. They seemed to be either overbooked or understaffed, probably both. We were waiting a while for our table, but a trendy place during Houston Restaurant Weeks having delays isn't surprising, even if we had a reservation. The waiter apologized for the delay, saw we were looking at the HRW menu, and took all three course orders at once. We really thought that it would speed things up, but the exact opposite thing happened. It took well over 30 minutes to get our first course, which was the berries parfait. It's literally just yogurt, berries, granola, and honey in a bowl. Unlike last year, where the ingredients were carefully portioned, it seemed like this year they were all just hastily dumped into a bowl and brought out to the table. Regardless, it still tasted pretty good. About 50 minutes after we ordered, we asked the waiter about the status of our entrees. He let us know that the kitchen was behind. He sounded frustrated. We never saw him again; he completely disappeared and while we thought we saw him around, he never stopped by our table. We proceeded to see random people running items from the kitchen out to various tables. They weren't the waiters covering those tables. I'm not sure if they were kitchen staff, managers, dishwashers, or what. They all seemed frazzled and rushed. Of course, none of the food was coming to our table, but we clearly won't the only ones encountering delays and poor service. At about 70 minutes, and now no waiter, we gave up and went to the host table. We asked to cancel the rest of our order and offered to pay for what we'd already received. The host went to get a manager, but another lady came out letting us know that the manager was tied up facilitating in the kitchen and was trying to offer alternatives to us leaving. My wife was ready to leave, but I saw one of the random employees drop two plates at the table we'd abandoned. I suggested to her that it might be better to just finish our already-delayed meal rather than waste another hour going to another restaurant, ordering, and waiting for food. The lady at the front said she'd "take care of the bill." The food that was brought out was a disappointed. The duck confit was clearly rushed through the cooking process, but was still pretty good. The shrimp and grits were a complete miss, though. They clearly didn't have time to get the flavors they wanted, so they just dumped a bunch of garlic butter into the dish and called it a day. My wife couldn't finish her meal so we swapped entrees midway since the excess butter was making her miserable. The same lady (I'm guessing an assistant manager) kept offering us drinks. We made it clear we didn't want mimosas, so they started offering coffee. I don't think they were intending to come off pushy, but after a miserable 80+ minutes, it felt that way. Finally, we agreed to a couple of coffees with dessert just so they'd stop suggesting stuff and let us enjoy our food. The desserts were... okay. Just like the appetizers and entree, they seemed to be hastily assembled and lacking the flavors we'd expect. My wife seemed suitably happy with the Strawberries Melba for dessert, but my chocolate pot de creme was... bland. I've worked in hospitality before and I know that "I'll take care of the bill" means different things at different places, but this is the first time I've ever encountered-- as an employee or as a customer-- where that meant we were issued a bill for the full amount of the food we ordered, despite the fact that we nearly walked out due to the horrendous service. The only items that were "comped" were the coffees that we didn't even want. My wife had previously made it clear to me that she wanted to come back here regularly, so as we were walking back to our car, I suggested this was just an extreme off day and next time would be better. This time, she made it clear that she'd be okay if we never came back again. Honestly, I can't blame her. I'm leaving the second star on here because the first experience was so good. All I can say is that this place is no longer the amazing location that we experienced in 2024.

We were…read moreseated upon arrival and were given the HRWs menu with the appetizer, main course and dessert. I ordered the parfait for appetizer, duck confit for main course and creme brûlée for dessert. They also provided bread at the table. Our waiter was pretty good, though once the restaurant got busy, we had some trouble flagging him down in between main course and dessert. The first two courses came outs relatively quickly with enough time in between each to enjoy and chat. The dessert took some time, and the waiter did apologize for the wait. The food was delicious, specifically the main course and dessert. The granola to yogurt ratio was very off; it was a sprinkle of granola to like 1/3 cup of unsweetened, plain yogurt. The set price for the menu was $25 and I think the value is more than worth it. I'd love to come back here to try more menu items!

First Time at Café Brussels…read more Tried to eat at the pizza spot next door, but it was closed for a private event, so we decided to give Café Brussels a try -- and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. We ordered the Houston Burger and the chicken sandwich with fries, plus a Duvel beer and some wine. Everything was delicious, but the service is what really made the night. Adrian, who works Friday-Sunday nights, was amazing -- super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. And the dessert... wow. Their Belgian waffle with ice cream and strawberries is unreal. I would go back just for that alone. Definitely returning!

The interior is fairly old school and was empty during lunch service. The menu focused on European style dishes. Service was very good and our server was very friendly with suggestions. We got some escargot in butter to share (4/5), mussels (2/5), and bread for the table. The escargot was pretty solid compared to what is available in town, the garlic butter sauce was a good bread dipper as well. The mussels tasted a bit off and the sauce wasn't very flavorful either. I got the pork chop for my main (2.5/5); it was a bit tough and wasn't very flavorful outside of being salted. The brussell sprouts were not my favorite but the fries itself were decent. The snails and fries are good. Everything else was just okay.

TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!

While French fries, French Toast, and French bread, have crossed into American cuisine without incident, not so for the street food of Paris. Why? Well, like everything, it's the $$$. For one ham and cheese crepe, I could eat a Delicious Bacon, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle every day for a week. True, I'd have no silverware, but honestly I don't care.

Such a lovely restaurant, with two slightly different vibes depending on the day. Sundays are more lively with a live band, while Saturdays are a bit more relaxed--but still busy. I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. My only small note from my most recent visit was that it felt a little warm inside. I get it, it's Texas and it was a hot day, but I wouldn't have minded the AC being turned up a bit more . Now for the good stuff, food! I've tried a variety of items and have yet to be disappointed. Some standouts: French Toast (5/5): One of the best I've had. Thick slices, no eggy taste, and the crème anglaise with fresh berries are the perfect adds. Lobster Tacos (5/5): More like a lobster salad packed into crispy mini taco shells, the perfect little bites. Shrimp Tempura & Caviar 4/5: Tried this most recently and loved it. The batter had the perfect crunch. I also recommend the Rosé all day punch (not on the menu, but ask your server - it's a frozen berry ball with sparkling champagne and rosé) breakfast potatoes and sausage, salmon entrée, and even the french fries. The service has always been great. On my most recent visit, our server was especially awesome. They were very attentive, polite, and gave great recommendations (especially for mocktails). There are several options for parking including valet, street parking, and a garage. Valet runs around $6-$10, street parking is metered (I paid about $6 for two hours), and the garage was free and really easy the last time I went. Overall, this is a spot I'll keep coming back to and recommending again and again. Looking forward to trying even more of the menu next time!

One note for both patrons and staff: if you sit at the bar, be aware that it can feel more like a server work zone than a place to relax. I ended up moving farther down because I was constantly being bumped into by busy staff moving through the area. Overall, though, it's a lovely spot with very good food. Just wish the staff were a little more aware of guests seated at the bar.
