Return visit for brunch! (Second review 3 star) First review;(Halloween birthday lunch, which went away when I post the second review 4.4 stars) I've been wanting to try the Cowboy Breakfast plate, that offers two small waffles, 3 eggs, two types of bacons and potatoes. Thors was my first time trying lamb bacon and it was fantastic! I did discover on this visit there no comp bread. All three of My eggs came out poached, when I requested them to be only one poached and the other over medium plus The correction happened but I wasn't clear if it was going to an additional charge (given previous experience and lack of communicated details) I wasn't clear sure to send two back. It was the lack of attentiveness on this visit versus the last visit. I ordered a OJ, (not listed in menu) price is $5 no refills. I didn't get a refill on my water either. And it was less busy than my last visit. And I had the same waiter as before. Which he is really nice. I still look forward to bringing my mom here to visit for her celebration year! Or before that.

This was our first time to visit and it did not disappoint. We are going to France next year and are trying all of the French restaurants, Cocody is my favorite so far. The restaurant is stunning, the food is beautiful and delicious. The wine list is amazing, and Mario's knowledge of wine was very helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Lionel, he recommended the lamb, which we were hesitant about, but it was delicious and the pistachio ice cream I could eat every night! We love the restaurant and the staff so much that we went back and will continue to. Thank you George, Mario, Pena and Chef Lionel for an amazing experience, a'bientot!

Stopped in for happy hour with the girls. The restaurant is beautiful from the patio , to the bar and dining area. We had a couple cocktails and some light bites. While the food was okay we weren't blown away. However do think I need to come back for brunch for sure and maybe dinner. The manager and bartenders were very welcoming and entertaining.

We've had two great weekday experiences at Cocody, which makes this review a little bittersweet. On our lunch visit, everything hit the mark. I had the salmon tartine, Moi ordered the prime cheeseburger, and Brandon had the crab salad sandwich--all excellent. The ambiance is beautiful and very well thought out, and the service during lunch was top-tier. The chef even came to our table, which was a really nice touch. If you want great service, lunch during the week is the move. Unfortunately, Saturday brunch was a completely different story. Our waitress disappeared shortly after we sat down. We had to flag down another staff member just to order drinks and appetizers. Thankfully, Roger saved the day. He's actually the bartender but stepped in to help on the floor, and he was attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful when things were falling apart. The biggest issue: Brandon ordered the Chilean seabass and was instead served lobster pasta. By the time it was sorted out, I had already eaten, and he waited over 30 minutes for his correct dish--which never arrived. He eventually canceled the seabass altogether. Not exactly the brunch experience you hope for. It's disappointing because Cocody clearly can get it right--we've seen it firsthand during weekday visits. But brunch service needs serious improvement. That said, we'll be back--sitting at the bar with Roger, and only on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. He definitely earned our loyalty.

Great brunch beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Free parking in garage, valet and also self park. Pluses 1) crab au gratin with big chunks of crab was delicious and good amount 2) shrimp and grits big and spicy shrimp with a nice kick 3) duck 4) eclair dessert pretty and sweet treat 5) chocolate dessert yummy 6) birthday treat with macaroon Areas to improve 1) just minor points, table didn't have knives and the server brought some to us 2) water filled our sparkling water with regular water before we could let him know - maybe use different color glass for staff to know ? 3) our food came all at on once spacing it out may have been better We had a delightful time and would be happy to return. They have a big patio outside too. Highly recommended for special occasions!

The reviews seemed very mixed. Yet, I had a wonderful experience. The staff was kind and attentive. I went for lunch so not super busy. Perfect timing really. The decor is so beautiful, definitely VIBES! It's very light food and I love that, very fresh, and colorful!

I was invited to a birthday dinner here. It was my First time in this area. We were able to get parking in the parking right by the restaurant. As we entered we were pleasantly stunned with the beautiful decor. It's amazingly fancy and upscale, from the chandeliers and the assorted wines on the shelves to the wall lighting fixtures, real fancy! Our table was to the side with another group, very private. I can't tell you I remembered our servers because they didn't engage much with us other than taking the orders quickly and leaving. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. I had an allergy reaction to something that was on the cheese platter but maybe it was my fault because I didn't tell them I was allergic to honey even though we weren't asked, but hey! Got my meds and I enjoyed the night. There's also a cute area upstairs by the restroom to take pics. It's small and at the time it was only there or the stairs leading up were the only photo ops we saw. Overall a good evening. NB: when we got our invites we were told for a group reservation you're not allowed to pay separately. So we all had to zelle the person who booked and she was able to pay for the table. (This is Just for reference)

We went for a quick happy hour treat and it was Nice... the food was amazing and on point. The drinks perfectly crafted by the bartender who was also training someone new. Now for the cherry on top. We got to meet the owners who were just so nice and kind and truly represent the luxury and class just like thier restaurant. Can't wait for my next visit.

Came here for a friend's bday dinner. There was a group of 7 of us. The stairs are so pretty in here but they do not allow you to take photos there. Kind of sad about this! I ordered the lobster pasta and it was really good! Great portions! The sauce had amazing flavor and the presentation was really nice. Overall a pricey restaurant, would come back for a nice occasion! The installations on the ceiling were beautiful. Ambiance would be great for a girls night out, or date night. Parking is easy in the shopping center right in front. The only complaint I had was you had to pay the bill from your phone and the system they used made it really confusing to split/pay bill, and we had problems with that towards the end.

So, walking in, the decor is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, in recent months, you are not allowed to take pictures, so that does put a damper considering how pretty it is. But still come picture-ready. In terms of food, I came for dinner, and my steak and creamed spinach were delicious, although I would've appreciated a different sauce pairing or seasoning? The service was also just okay. Considering how nice it is, I would expect more. Overall, I think it is great for special events due to the vibe, but not necessarily the best if you're looking for a dinner with the best food.

Traditional French restaurant with some western African flair in terms of the food. Parking is a bit tricky as you will have to pay for parking no matter where you park but it's worth it once you walk in and are greeted by luxurious boutique editorial dinning decor. The bar is a lit marble with a very French inspired layout. A U shape allowing maximum efficiency for the bar tenders. We were seated to the outside patio which was neatly decorated. They were doing a few tastings of tequila, vodka, gin and mezcal. We ordered almost every dish on the happy hour menu. My favorite being the shrimp bites, a wonderful yet slightly spicy curried sauced shrimp. Very delightful. For the drink I had the hibiscus lemon drop with Amara's as the liquor of choice, very smooth, fragrant and elevated the dishes served to us this evening.

I dined here during HRW which was a while ago, but I'l do my best to jog down memory lane. We had a company dinner here and managed to book the private back room with a full view of the kitchen. Immediately, the vibes were off the charts!! The restaurant is beautiful, very pleasing to the eye. Even on a Monday, it was lively, and upbeat. I would say that it was almost too loud with all of the chatter going on inside, but once we made it to our room, and our server closed the glass doors... silence. The room was practically sound-proof which I thought was amazing. It certainly allowed us to enjoy our night with some privacy. It was also quite novel to be able to look over and see the flow of the back of the house. I no longer recall the individual dishes we had, but I do recalled that everything I ate, I loved. Nothing disspointed. Chef Lionel Debon would occasionally step out of the kitchen to check on us, see how we were liking the food, and describe to us the journey of a dish from scratch to finished product. He also invited us to step into the kitchen to get a closer look at the inner working of the kitchen. Last but not least, the service was impeccable. The gentleman taking care of us throughout the enight did so, so eloquently. He handled service with great care and organization, and held great conversation as well. 10/10. Bring your cute outfits, a big appetite, and your cameras! Highly reccomend!

Extremely disappointing experience with the reservation process…read more We made a reservation through Resy on July 25, 2026, for August 15 2026, more than three weeks before my planned arrival in Houston. I will be visiting Houston for only two days and specifically planned this trip around experiencing Houston Restaurant Weeks. Today, we received an email informing me that I would have needed a separate reservation specifically for the Restaurant Week menu. Unfortunately, by the time I found this out, those reservations were already sold out. We also reached out directly to the restaurant and spoke with Catherine Park from the Hostess Team. We were told there was nothing she could do, and I requested that she escalate this issue to management, as this situation is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The biggest issue is that this requirement was not clearly communicated on the Resy reservation page when I made my reservation. There was no clear indication that a separate Restaurant Week reservation was required, nor was there an option presented during the booking process. I have participated in Restaurant Week events in many cities across the United States, and I have never encountered a system where guests must make a completely separate reservation just to access the Restaurant Week menu. Typically, guests make a reservation and can decide between available menus when they arrive. Since Restaurant Week was the reason I chose this restaurant, this has been extremely disappointing. I will now be looking for a different restaurant for my Houston visit.

Had the charity chef menu. Every dish was exquisite. No complaints or adjustments. Coming from me that's a huge feat :) They even allowed me to switch to the poele instead of the torchon. So grateful and was plenty filling the 4 courses. The redfish de jour was fantastic. The filet de beof was tenderly delicious with all the comfort sides. The pastilla chocolat was decadent bliss. Almost like a melted brownie inside a crisp thin pastry with the right accent of sorbet and lychee. The service was accommodating and prompt. The only thing I could add to this is I wish they were more informative when the dishes came out. That's my only suggestion but the food didn't really need description as it was a novel in taste. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Such a lovely restaurant, with two slightly different vibes depending on the day. Sundays are more lively with a live band, while Saturdays are a bit more relaxed--but still busy. I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. My only small note from my most recent visit was that it felt a little warm inside. I get it, it's Texas and it was a hot day, but I wouldn't have minded the AC being turned up a bit more . Now for the good stuff, food! I've tried a variety of items and have yet to be disappointed. Some standouts: French Toast (5/5): One of the best I've had. Thick slices, no eggy taste, and the crème anglaise with fresh berries are the perfect adds. Lobster Tacos (5/5): More like a lobster salad packed into crispy mini taco shells, the perfect little bites. Shrimp Tempura & Caviar 4/5: Tried this most recently and loved it. The batter had the perfect crunch. I also recommend the Rosé all day punch (not on the menu, but ask your server - it's a frozen berry ball with sparkling champagne and rosé) breakfast potatoes and sausage, salmon entrée, and even the french fries. The service has always been great. On my most recent visit, our server was especially awesome. They were very attentive, polite, and gave great recommendations (especially for mocktails). There are several options for parking including valet, street parking, and a garage. Valet runs around $6-$10, street parking is metered (I paid about $6 for two hours), and the garage was free and really easy the last time I went.
