This spot was recommended by a good friend and plans only allowed lunch here so we made it around 1 on a Monday. I booked a table just in case and they were just about full. Feels quite formal, grand and at the same time casual and like you've been transported back in time and in a good way. We were greeted immediately by an upbeat Maitre d who quickly found our reservation. He asked our server to grab English menus for us which was a nice touch. The Menu is overwhelming in a good way. So much enticing food, so little time! They had a couple of Fixed Menus for lunch -2 and 3 course. Looks like they have the same for dinner. We started with a Grimbergen and an Aperol Spritz. For starters, it was Escargot-rich, buttery, and their Flammekueche-Alsatian specialty-think flatbread, no tomato sauce, almost Crepe consistency and topped with Cheese - think it was topped with Pork Loin-simple and delicious. For main, Grilled Banka Trout--tough customer said it was one of the best fish dishes she's ever had. I ordered the Bofinger's Sauerkraut. House specialty and Pork presented in a few ways. Heavy, decadent and Sauerkraut was mild and tasty. Definitely a good dish to share. We saw Moules Frites and the Bofinger Seafood platter ordered at tables next to us-next time! Service was excellent from beginning to end. A heavy lunch it was and that's just fine. Make this stop for a true and exquisite Braserrie experience.

We had such a lovely time here and left full and happy. We originally came for the mixed meat platter with sauerkraut, but when we saw it offered as part of a set menu, we went for it. My husband was a little let down that the set portion was smaller than the à la carte version, but for $35 it came with an appetizer and dessert, which made it a fun way to try more dishes. My son also got the set menu and had the chicken, which he absolutely loved. I chose the fish and chips as a smaller set without dessert for $19. The portion was generous for the price, and the fish was perfectly crisp and flavorful. My meat-loving husband now wishes he had gone for the big platter, so we clearly have a reason to come back. Service was a little rough around the edges, but the staff was friendly and always on the move, bussing tables and taking orders. It wasn't busy when we were there, but I can imagine it gets lively with a full house. The restaurant itself is full of charm, and the atmosphere made the meal even better. Our Uber driver told us we'd have a great time here and he was right. Highly recommend! PS: their butter is amazing!

It's not our first time in Paris and not our first time in France. We've travelled throughout France, from the southern beaches through the countryside up until the very north. And this place here is one of the very best. That simple. The setting is classic. A true french brasserie, classy, cozy. Staff was friendly from the start, took care of us very well throughout the whole evening. We had a reservation (recommended) and got a nice table for two. The menu is very interesting. Lots of french classics and lots of seafood. Shared a portion of Foie Gras for a starter. Very smooth, very tasty. A nicely made piece of mi-cuit Foie Gras. For the mains we had the classic Tartare and the "La Haute-Mer" seafood platter with 1/2 homard canadien, 1/2 tourteau, 3 langoustines, 3 crevettes roses, crevettes grises. An amazing platter with only the freshest of seafood. Definitely some of the best seafood we've ever had. Especially the lobster and the crab were divine and cooked to perfection. The Tartare was great as well. Spiced, but not too much. The meat still with some bite, very fresh. A very very tasty meal. Ok, the fries weren't that great. But I care about the meat. For the dessert we shared a piece of "Foret Noire" cake. A piece that easily serves two. Load of fresh whipped creme. Nice chocolate flavour. And some nice "Amarena" sour cherries. Had a bottle of white wine with the meal (from Alsace). Matched the seafood perfectly. Great from beginning to end. A wonderful restaurant. With that menu definitely a place we'll come back to next time in Paris. And for 150 Euros fair priced for what you get in terms of service and quality.

After visiting Louvre Museum, a 20 Euro taxi fare took us to Bofinger for a delicious lunch. The Brasserie was highly recommended by my colleagues at home back in the States, I was not disappointed. The decor and the ambience speak loudly of France; the food is even more so. I had the signature dish of choucroute de la mer or seafood sourkraut to the English speaking word, the right amount of vineger and the natural sweetness of the cabbage made it a cut above its German counterpart. At $29 Euros, it is a steal! Having said that, the wait for the food was slow during my visit. The brasserie is huge with two levels, you can easily get in without a reservation for lunch.

This place was recommended by a friend, and boy am I glad we took his suggestion! Tables go fast so I recommend you MAKE A RESERVATION before you arrive in Paris. If you are.American, slow your roll, this is a French Sea Food restaurant, Tbilisi pace of service is much slower than at home. Chill out enjoy the ambience, and be ready to order when your waiter shows up. I won't describe the food in my pictures, I'll just say it was all well prepared and delicious! We had a wonderful time! Note we didn't order and of the sauerkraut dishes but they looked fantastic! One order serves about 3 people, so pace yourself!

I had the Suprême de volaille - absolutely perfect! We were with a large group and everyone was very hospitable and friendly. The restaurant was beautiful and not too loud at all. Every bite our group had was delicious and thoughtfully prepared! Even with a large group it was all delicious

Great French brasserie near La bastille. Very nice Tarte flambé followed by a steak au poivre with fries. Dessert was a Black Forest cherry flavored cake. Delicious! Typical slow service, you are encouraged to stay 2 hours and enjoy your dining experience. Extensive Alsatian wine selection.

Excellent paté, try their flat pizza like appetizer. Steaks and wine selections. Waiters are VERY OLD School, but very professional.

What an utterly lovely dinner our group shared at This fantastic Resturaunt. We tried to make a reservation through The Fork, but did not realize it was rejected and when we showed up for our table, the VERY nice owner could not seat us. He felt horrible and said to comeback in :30 min. We hung around the area and were seated in :15! Everything was off the hook fresh and delicious! There are 3 other restaurants in the same tucked away square, all with plenty of empty tables. What to eat? Everything! Just close your eves and pick! You won't be disappointed and the service was fantastic!

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

When I arrived, there was a rustic table in the entry room where I was seated. I ordered an entrée of mini mushroom raviolis in truffle sauce, a plat of scallops over orzo which had chorizo chunks and a dessert of frozen Grand Marnier soufflé. The portions were generous. I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room. Luckily I was not closer to the door and didn't have anyone over me. For ~170 Euros, the food was good but the experience was not.
