Left Versailles and we were starving. At Arc de Triumph. Yelp and Tripadvisor ratings don't match. Many that rate high on Tripadvisor don't rate high on Yelp. This place rated high on both. It was early about 6:00 and very few customers. We were seated without reservation, by 7 this place was jumping surely u would need one by then. Charming restaurant but they pack u in a little tight. Seems like this is standard in Paris. Customer Service Julien out waiter was the best. Very attentive and friendly, no rushing. Little language problem but I pointed to menu and he helped me pick my entree. He was great. Assortment of cheese Very good Rigatoni with truffle sauce topped with shaved cheese Did not look like much but the truffle sauce had rich flavor. Veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Wow never tasted anything like these beautiful flavors. Going to make this dish at home. Brioche French toast with salted butter caramel and ice cream. Too sweet for me but delicious, my honey loved it. Plating Lots of pride here. If I am ever in Paris in Avenue De Champs Elysees I would come here again u should to. This was a perfect dining experience. I would rate this place a 10 if I could.
We lucked out finding a last-minute table here on Valentine's Day! The ambiance is perfectly French.. intimate, lively, and very charming. The service was genuinely kind and attentive despite the holiday rush. As for the food, the French onion soup was a classic, and the steak frites were delicious (the Béarnaise sauce is a must). the profiteroles were huge and absolutely amazing. A fantastic, authentic spot near the Champs-Élysées. Highly recommend!
Amazing service! Don't forget to greet everyone with a Bonjour first! The server we had spoke English and he was attentive and friendly. Since this area has a lot of tourists, we were seated next to another couple from the States. We had boeuf bourguignon, and a salad. It was decent and hit the spot, I would rate their dish 3.5 out of 5. Still tho, can't beat the ambiance of dining outdoors, in Paris!

Nice ambiance - both inside and outside. Service acceptable. French onion soup excellent. Caesar salad very good. Beef Bourguignon - several chewy pieces of meat. Very disappointing
The inside is pretty dim and seem to be like a nice date place. They also have a bar. The service was quick. I was only here for about 15 minutes. I only visited because the Paris go city pass is offering a crepe, a hot drink and oj, with your pass. It wasn't that full. My pass was saying I used it here even though I hadn't. They still served me though. Yay Thanks for the food!!
You have to get In line the 45 min minimum before opening time. The line gets crazy long but at times you get lucky and after lunch just before they close there's no lines. It's about $38 euros there only this dish. Steak and fries comes in two servings. The portions did get smaller as did the plates. I've been here twice and no need to come back but it was good but total tourist trap and can get better food all over the city. Also there's no take away, if you don't finish it you leave it. The steaks are all rare to mid rare. Even if you ask for medium, this part is inconsistent
This was the most amazing dining experience. Our waiter Job was the best. The French onion soup, ravioli, escargot and salmon was delicious. We had a great table and loved the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. We are in Paris for a week and have had many great dining experiences. However, Le Bistro Marbeuf is the one we are heading back to for a second time.
Five star experience for family with a picky 7 and 9 yr old. Four star food from an adult perspective but hey...this was the most I saw my grandson eat all week. Good wine list. Attentive and friendly service. This was our favorite place we ate this week. Loved our little table tucked into a corner of a balcony.
This meal was absolutely the best. I tried frog legs for the first time. Exceptional, I recommend adding the lemon. It pushes the sauce over the top. Our waiter was professional and outstanding.. All the food was cooked to perfection. I had frog legs, spinach, salad,beef bourguinon and crème brûlée
Le Bistro Marbeuf specializes in Lyonnaise Cuisine. We had their Duck Confit and Boef Bourguignon. Both dishes were amazing!! We also ordered the escargots and creme brulee but I would not reccommend those as the escargot were chewy and cold.. creme brulee was watery.
Hubs loved the escargot, the place was packed when we visited and the service was fast and efficient despite how busy the restaurant at the time. The neighboring table (elbows reach away) doused us both in her escargot, hot buttery sauce all over my husband and I both. It was quite a surprise. My husband had a small burn on his eye. It was a little distressing and we were given serviettes, but that was the whole of the reaction by the restaurant. My steak was nicely cooked, but definitely lacked any seasoning or added flavor. My hubs had the veal chop and said it was quite good.
THE FOOD ------------------ + Escargot/Extra large Burgundy Snails - Fantastic! Lots of flavor and addictively so good. Use the complimentary bread to sop up the oils! = French Onion Soup - Ehhh just OK. Tasted like just your average French Onion Soup. + Duck Confit - Duck leg was delicious and tender with lots of gravy. Scalloped potatoes were a great side for it. + Beef Bourguignon - Phennnnomenal. Arrived in a clay pot and the beef was so tender and flavorful. Stewed potatoes and carrots were also in the au jus and flavorful too. Wish I had something (other than the bread) to soak it up! + Lasagna Bolognese - Tried a littttle bit of it and it was solid. Can't say it was much different than other good bolognese dishes I've had, but it was good. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + Seated quickly for our Sunday evening resy. - Food took a litttttle too long to arrive. + Waiter was very friendly. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Small restaurant, but has quite a few tables inside and noticed that parties without a reservation were still immediately seated. + Was busy for a Sunday evening at 5:30-7 PM, but there was always a open table or 2. - Visited on Easter Sunday for dinner; had a 5:30p reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival - Cozy bistro ambiance with a romantic feel; some tables felt a bit snug, but the large front windows were a highlight--perfect for people-watching (or letting passersby admire our kiddos snoozing peacefully through dinner lol) - Service was excellent from start to finish; our waiter was personable, attentive, and struck a great balance between being engaging and unobtrusive - The food was thoroughly enjoyable: escargots arrived piping hot and well-seasoned; the French onion soup was generously packed with onions, though it could have been served hotter; the lasagna bolognese was a pleasant surprise--rich, hearty, and deeply flavorful; the duck confit paired with gratin dauphinois was a standout, featuring tender, savory duck and a luxuriously creamy potato gratin; the beef bourguignon was generously portioned with melt-in-your-mouth meat and robust flavor--though a bit more bread would have been ideal to soak up the delicious sauce (I'm sure they would have happily provided more if we'd asked, but we were already stuffed!) read more
This was my second visit to Bistro LeMarbeuf when in Paris. Once just after we flew in, and the second time our last meal before flying out. It's a pleasant dining experience. The interior of Bistro La Marbeuf is very classic- think wood bar and paneling, plush red velvet bench seating, white table cloths, and warm lighting. The type of vibe you'd expect from a nice French bistro. The service here was great - friendly and surprisingly efficient. I also noticed that our sever went out of his way to interact with a child seated next to us, which made me like him even more. The food was just what we were looking for on our final night in France. I went with the duck confit and they were kind enough to substitute out the gratin (with lots of dairy) for French fries for me. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with lots of flavor. It was so good (and I was so hungry), I probably could have eaten two of them. My husband ordered the beef bourguignon, which he had both times because he enjoyed it so much. And the kiddo went with the steak frites, a favorite of his. He cleaned his plate, which I always believe says a lot about the food. Overall, Bistro La Marbeuf is a solid choice when you are looking for dining options near the Champs d'elysee and the Arc D'Triomphe. read more

Food was very good and open late (2am) much appreciated after a long day of touristing. Duck confit was good, escargot was perfect, and the sancerre was crisp and fresh. Would recommend this spot for late night eats when leaving the trocadero read more

We loved this places so much we went twice and honestly, should ah e eaten there more! The staff was very friendly which is hard to find in Paris sometimes. The food was amazing! The service was great! I highly recommend this restaurant!!! read more
Was out in Av. des Champs-Élysées and popped in here for an early lunch (around 12pm). The place was pretty empty but was packed by the time we left, lunch crowd maybe? The staff was very polite and welcoming. We were seated promptly and was surprised how quick the food came out. We shared an onion soup, escargot, and a sea bass. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. The portions were also pretty good. We left very full and satisfied. read more

Came here on vacation after looking for a good French restaurant in the area. Service is extremely fast in getting you seated and taking your order, but we never felt like we were rushed. The escargot is delicious and the snails are bigger than another establishment at went to which justified the more expensive price tag. The duck confit was good, but not the best that I had on my trip to Paris. The frog legs however, were marvelous. The sauce was truly something special and am so glad that we ordered that to eat. Would highly recommend it. The leftover sauce from the escargot and frog legs were also great for dipping the bread in. Just as some salt and pellet to your liking and you'll find yourself finding the entire bread basket. Was a fantastic last meal for my trip. read more
We didn't mean to go to this restaurant but the restaurants nearby were all full. However I was surprised why ppl didn't go to this one. The food was actually pretty nice. We had foie gras de conard. Beef bourguignon. They were all pretty nice. The service was very nice as well. The only thing I feel bad is I might lost my scarf there. read more

Cute, casual bistro close to Champs-Elysees. They serve a variety of items, specializing in Lyonnaise-food. Service is nice and English-friendly. Quenelle: So soft and pillowy. The sauce was delicious with the rice and bread! Not too heavy. Duck confit: Tender duck, not dry at all. Potatoes on the side were amazing. French onion soup: Could have been broiled a bit longer but the soup was delicious and super cheesy. read more

We ventured here after touring Versailles. It was definitely a place to remember. The ambiance was old world and cozy. The staff was very pleasant. We enjoyed the Sea Bass over mushrooms in à cream sauce. Unfortunately there is no evidence, as it was cooked perfectly and devoured. read more

We were staying at Fouquet in Paris n our goal was to explore French cuisine n the area. Stumbled upon this gem and I'm glad we went here. This is the restaurant where I tried frog legs for the first time and they were delicious!!! Espresso martini was amazing too, as well as the rest of our dishes. Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was helpful, corky and funny. The place was packed so I knew it had to be good. I'd highly recommend it, as I would def go back when given the chance. read more

We came here because a local recommended it , but it was disappointing. The ribeye was flavorless it didn't even have salt. The truffle pasta was flavorless as well. This is the only place I ate in france that asked for a tip and said they don't get tips unless you leave extra, which I found strange. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more
Not really sure why there are so many good reviews. Definitely not worth a wait. The escargots served are probably the smallest I've ever seen. Pitiful. The duck confit is ok but the meat was still dry. The steak frites..steak is rough and fries undercooked. Half baked chocolate cake is basically molten cake. It was ok. Our server never gave us steak knives for the steak..just not a pleasant experience especially after waiting. read more
