When you're looking for Italian and you're in the Catskills (Windham/Hunter) Brandywine is a great choice. If you're around on a Wednesday you can enjoy pasta nights at $11.95, offering a solid selection of pasta dishes. Keep in mind it'll be packed! The complimentary bread and herb butter are a nice touch. Our pasta had good flavor and was cooked well, though we'd prefer a thicker sauce. The spinach salad for 2 at $9 is a great value, prepared tableside. The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for conversations without feeling rushed. When it's not pasta night, the Eggplant Rolatini is a reliable choice. Whenever I'm in Windham, Brandywine is my go-to spot! The casual atmosphere allows for enjoyable group conversations. The portion sizes, quality, vibe, and especially the prices are amazing. Brandywine exudes old-world charm with a friendly and courteous server. The food is not only delicious but also available for takeout with generous portion sizes. The diverse wine collection, along with beer and cocktails, adds to the experience. The service is top-notch, creating a romantic and cozy atmosphere suitable for all ages. Fun and satisfying in every aspect!

Fabulous eatery with fantastic service, ambiance and hospitality. The portions were just right and the prices were reasonable and affordable. Would recommend to anyone thinking of coming here. You will not be sorry you did.

Wednesday night pasta night is a good value- $11.95 for selection of pasta dishes. Good bread and herb soft butter served when we sat down. Our pasta had good flavor, pasta was cooked well but would have preferred a thicker sauce. They were very busy, and service was OK. We ordered spinach salad for 2 that was $9- very good value. Salad was prepared table side. Decent wine list. Eggplant Rolatini is a staple here and always a good choice.

One of my favorite places to eat on and off the mountain top. Nice environment. Love the candle light. Great service...reasonably priced.

Come here a few times a year. Never had a bad meal. Veal saltambuca is great and the veal parm better.

The drinks were very balanced and sometimes felt too boozy (maybe I'm just sensitive). The food hit it out of the park! Everything was so flavorful. The staff wasn't super helpful or knowledgeable.. one of the dishes we had ordered had sausage in it and I asked if it was spicy or sweet sausage and she looked at me and said I think it's pork. It was a serious wait what moment ‍ like of course it's pork but is it spicy or sweet? It was sweet haha but we'll definitely go back if we're in the area again.

Although our server was nice, she was often slow and not readily available. She and other runners/servers did not bring many things we ordered/asked for. 1 friend never got his side of pasta for his entire meal, another did not get his glass of wine when others who ordered at the same time as him got theirs. My girlfriend had to ask 3 times for a steak knife and we were constantly begging for basic items like drinks and ketchup. The predatory billing practices here are shocking: 20% Automatic Gratuity: ok, this is not unusual for large groups in many resistant, but clearly explained why the staff felt no need to actually serve and take care of us. 10% "Living Wage Fee": A mandatory tax on the customer because the owner refuses to pay their staff properly! Never experienced this fee firsthand only saw it online. An absolute joke to expect us to give an extra 10% to your staff because you're not paying a reasonable salary! $30 Cake Slicing Fee: We brought a birthday cake. They stored it and brought it out, but we ended up taking it home without them ever touching or slicing it. They still had the nerve to charge us $30 just for the "privilege" of having it in the building. When we spoke to the manager about the 10% surcharge, he acted like we were the problem and talked about how they are trying to make a living. We were all asking ourselves why he's not paying them a fair salary?? why is it our responsibility to pay even more, particularly for poor service! The food is fair at best and wildly overpriced. Definitely go anywhere else as this place is an overpriced tourist trap with lousy service!

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

Usually I like to pick what dishes are considered popular on Beli but I really wanted to try them, they're just too hot and not very satisfying to kick off your palate. The bread was okay, a little (very) messy and the hummus trio was cute but not necessary or particularly tasty. The pollo al limone and gamberoni e fagioli were good, a little dry but not a deal breaker. Service was nice, the place is pretty casual so I would recommend for a regular casual date night, it's not fine dining--the experience was nice but not luxurious. What I mean is it's cozy and inviting, not elegant and stuffy. Cheers!
