Outside seating at new Brandywine - open 9/19.

Like the Brandywine dining hall in the Middle Earth housing area. Maybe 2 months old as of 11/19. All u can eat. Sorry to say music did not thrill wife, but 92 year old mother in law liked it a bit. Thankfully, easy to park with handicap placard. Helps to be hungry. $12.50 flat fee for brunch at 2:30 pm on a Sunday. Included lunch, breakfast, and dessert items. Nice salad bar, pizza, Stromboli, garden burgers, fries, soups, smoothies, coffee, fruit drinks, pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns. Liked the posters and maps from Middle Earth, signs to places in Middle Earth, second breakfast area (see The Hobbit). Lots of trees on campus, many bike users, handy paved paths. Fun to people watch - walked around campus after. Pretty idyllic setting - and pleasant service.

There is a outdoor dining area with wind and sunshine. This is one of my favorite spots.

The Brandywine is kind of a new dining hall for me and it has become one of my favorite spots for lunch already. I think it is amazing that they have a bunch of outdoor tables in the dining hall and the staffs are super nice.

Incredible food choice! The versatility of brandywine chefs are showcased as there are fine dining options and the ability to get greasy pizza as well. The range of the dining in this dining hall is PHENOMENAL. Walking in here at least 3 times a day never gets old. The surprise behind what dishes they are serving each day is the only thing giving me reason for staying alive on this godforsaken planet. The smell of the dish drop is so exhilarating, I wish it existed as a candle. One of my favorite pastimes is emptying the salt shakers every time I come in to have a meal. I love trying to get my favorite drink, and being presented with a surprise EVERY TIME! Sometimes it's sweet tea, sometimes it's just water, sometimes it's unknown juice, and you know what? It is all worth the surprise as it reflects the unknown miracle of the meaning of life. I might dislike every single option they have, so I'm forced to go to the deli, but the workers at the deli work with such a sense of urgency that cannot be beaten anywhere else. I can get a sandwich in at least 20 minutes! Finding the occasional hair in my food delights me as I now have floss to last me at least a week! Additionally, there is ALWAYS seats available inside brandywine. You can always count on finding one by watching someone until they're done eating, and then sprinting to take over their seat. Lastly, one of my favorite things about brandywine is finding everyone's leftovers on the table you just sat at. If I went to every single table, and gathered every piece of lettuce left behind, I would have enough to make my own salad! How incredible is that?! Anyways, brandywine is a once in a lifetime experience, meaning you only want to go there once. Thank you brandywine! You've changed my life

Food is horrible and lacks variety. It's pretty much just some variation of dry chicken breast or pork loin 80% of the time

You can tell who is the manager - he's the guy sitting at a table with a "Stand" hat and tee-shirt feverishly entering data and looking at stuff on the computer. Why are managers always the one at the table with a laptop? If you go just down the block to Flower Child the manager is the one working at the counter handing our orders, or delivering orders to tables and interacting with the guests. Never saw him use a laptop but I'm certain he does. But the manager said goodbye to us as we left. A chicken sandwich with chicken and cole slaw was made with chicken that we very flat and hard, and had no real taste at all. I think we've been trained to get all our flavor from sauces - they had lots of sauces available and brought them to the table on request. A basket of sweat potato fried was undercooked and too soft. Not so good even with salt and lots of sauces. Of course we didn't eat the signature burger....that's what The Stand is known for...so we didn't really give them a chance for their home run. The place was about 25% full at about 3pm so ambiance was fairly quiet and service was quick. Not sure about a return visit. We're on the fence.

Their menu is solid, with burgers and other items that make a casual meal. You can also order via their app to pick up. They get really busy at times, and orders take a little longer. There have been a few times when they made the wrong order by mixing up sauces among items I have ordered. For example, the sauces I order for fries were added to a hot dog. That can be annoying, especially when the orders state which condiments go with what items. They do correct the orders, which I appreciate. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Because the Newport Beach weather is amazing year-round, eating outdoors is definitely a treat.

Checked on us multiple times in addition to letting us know additional specials not listed on the menu and checking on us before social hour ended. We got the short rib croquettes and the slider flight. All were excellent tasting. The short rib was tender and the potatoes were well seasoned. The burger was my favorite sandwich on the flight. It was tender and juicy and very flavorful. The pork belly sandwich was also nice. The Nashville hot chicken has a kick to it in case you like a bit of spice. The pricing was very reasonable as the flight was only $13. The food was so tasty that I will definitely be back for the social hour but I also want to try their usual menu as well. Parking is in a lot connected to the building. You'll need to grab the ticket to enter the structure but the restaurant validates parking.

My son and I both ordered the ribeye steak, and neither of us enjoyed it. It was surprisingly bland, lacked flavor, and was simply not what you would expect from a ribeye. I was honestly shocked that a ribeye could taste so uninspiring. The service and ambiance were nice, but the food did not live up to expectations. Please do something about the quality of the steaks. To be honest, the ribeye I buy at Costco tastes much better. I really wanted to like this place, but based on the food alone, I can't give it more than 2 stars.

We had a wonderful waitress named Kaitlyn. She helped seal the deal on the mocktail selection. They roasted tomato and asparagus. Fresh purée soup is delicious especially with the warm country bread. The server got extra short and demanding with us when we didn't order cocktails since we don't drink alcohol. He got a little nicer after we ordered expensive mains, after-meal drinks and desserts. He never looked directly at one of us who's North African even when he ordered and paid for the entire meal. He was smiling, patient, and nice to everyone else around us. It was so obvious. I thought I had given this place 5 stars in the past because that's how I've always felt about this place. Beautiful, good organic food, casual/classy, outdoors....
