As all the other reviewers say...don't go here. Little 15 year old girls are supposed to run the store and are spoiled SNOBS. Will stare at you throughout the store and not say one word, even when you go checkout...I literally had to say " can I pay for these or what". The manager Ashley is super rude. The store is always messy. They close early and sit on their phones. They only speak to their friends who don't work there and who aren't supposed to be behind the registers. I have never written a bad review of a business until now but I have also never experienced such poor customer service until coming to this store. My first few times in, I resolved to give it the benefit of the doubt because I understand that everyone has off-days and as someone who has worked in customer service I know how emotionally demanding it can be. After visiting this shop a handful of times and every time, without fail, receiving blatant disrespect from the employees, I no longer come here. From glares and whispers when I'd walk through the door, to being pushed and told to "move out of the way" by an employee when I was waiting in line for the fitting room, to getting countless eyes rolled at me whenever I had a question or would try to make friendly conversation with whoever was working the cash register. The atmosphere is far from welcoming and on several occasions I've actually ditched the clothes I'd tried on and was waiting in line to purchase because I was so overcome with frustration for how I was being treated. Unless you are steadfast on not wanting to pay for shipping, I'd suggest ordering online rather than going to this location because it's honestly not worth the experience that is eerily reminiscent of catty high school interactions. read more

i love brandy's clothes so that's why i make the 2 hour drive to this store since it's the closest brandy to me. but the employees are soooo rude. they don't acknowledge you at all. here's how my interaction went at the register: me: *walks up to register and sets clothes down on counter* employee: *still talking to coworkers/friends about underage drinking and whatnot for about a minute more* "ok there's someone just a second" still hasn't even looked at me or said anything to me. employee: *starts ringing in my stuff not looking at me or saying anything* employee: *finishes scanning everything* and then FINALLY SHE SPEAKS TO ME but she says "are you ready? :/" GIRL READY FOR WHAT LMAO YOU DIDNT EVEN TELL ME THE TOTAL me: "yeah :)" *sticks card in and pays* employee: *bags my stuff up and hands it to me without saying anything or looking at me and continues to talk to her friends* yeah these girls are snobby rich teens who don't know anything about customer service and just work there for the discount or whatever tf they get. greet your customers as they walk in. ask them if they need help finding anything. when they come up to the register LOOK AT THEM ITS THE BARE MINIMUM. and ask them if they found everything alright. ask how they are doing, literally anything just make small talk like it's really not that hard to be a nice person. Place is very small and crowded. Very hard to shop for a 12 year old girl. All the clothes are one size small and extremely cheap quality. I absolutely love Brandy's clothes, but this stores employees are unprofessional, rude, and frankly unwelcoming. When I was checking out the girls were only talking to one another and completely ignoring any of their customers. It took me almost five minutes to actually PAY because the employees kept laughing due to a girl spitting out her frozen yogurt while checking out and spilling it on the bills. Ive only been into this brandy a few times before and the previous experiences were better but this last trip there was not good. I stood right outside the door because I figured they were at capacity (seeing that the store is small and there were at least 10 people in there). As I peeked my head in to see, the worker just stared at me weirdly so I went in and she didn't say hi she simply walked past me and continued hanging things up. I went to another worker asking for a potential jacket color they may have and she was extremely rude sizing me up and down and then responded with, "they're over on that stool but, they're a size S/M... just so you know". rude employees! a friend of mine stole from the store which i was not a part of my friend left the store with an item without my knowledge i looked around and saw she was gone. i got in line with my things to pay when a very rude employee approached me saying she saw my friend stealing and that she needed to come back or they would call security. i called my friend and told her to come back. she did and she returned the items. i asked the employee if i could get back into line to pay and she took the clothing from me and band me from the store along with my friend. i've been a loyal customer for years and was planning on paying for everything i found in the store that day. this same employee has also called ugly and has just been so rude with horrible customer service. read more

Absolutely loved this place. I was shopping for my younger daughter and the sweetest sales clerk ever helped me out! Her name was Eva, she was so thoughtful, so caring and had my interests as her priority. I really was convinced for quite some time this new generation of kiddos were born with holes in there head....... but not this kid! I have never had the need to write a horrible review, but my experience at this store was just the worst. When I say horrible, I am talking about the staff! They were so unprofessional. All the girls were too busy talking to each other about bumbershoot tickets or some concert without acknowledging if any customers needed assistance. One of the girls were talking so loud and I even heard her say the F word, like really? Super unprofessional while you're working. In terms of the fits, the store was not even that busy and I had to wait like 5 minutes until someone was willing to help me get into a room. Lastly, the thing that pissed me the most off was when I was about to check out and I overheard one of the associates being rude to her coworker. The girl that was being rude was wearing a light grey hoodie and white top with medium brown hair. Her coworker was a red headed girl and she was processing some clothes at the cash wrap and the girl in the hoodie goes, 'How do you not know how to do this? Did they not train you??!' ARE YOU KIDDING ME, that really ticked me off. How are you going to say that to your coworker AND in front of customers??? I wish I got that girl's name but I was so over being at that store. The only helpful associate was actually THAT red headed girl. She was the one that started me a fitting room and checked me out at the wrap. She was nice and I heard her greet people coming in. It's easy for me to say I will not be returning to this store. I recently went in to the U village location and was not greeted by any one; even though I made eye contact with the girl at the register the moment I walked in. My daughter and I continued to shop around but I couldn't help but notice all the employees standing behind the register looking at their phones (a blonde girl and another girl with dark hair). Once we were ready to purchase, the blonde girl put her phone down and started to ring us up. She was friendly at first but then slowly faded. She seemed really out of it and her eyes were extremely dreary and red, which could be from anything but I must admit it's not a good look for someone working in a young girls store. She finished ringing us up and my daughter asked to take one last look at the jewelry before we left & this is when I was astonished at what I heard. The same two employees were standing RIGHT next to us and they started exchanging stories about drinking and being hungover at work. They said this in front of my nine year old daughter who looks up to the girls that work in this store. I'm astonished and mortified that these girls are allowed to speak like this not only in front of customers but at work in general. **NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE** I stopped shopping here for a while because I felt unwelcome. Like two years. However, things got a little better. Today I was there shopping with my friend and 1) the price for an item was marked incorrectly AND instead of honoring the price on the tag, the cashier said "OH that's actually 32" before I could even finish my question about the item...2) she didn't even bother folding the clothes when placing in the bag. SHE WRINKLED THE CLOTHES AND SHOVED THEM IN THE BAG. I have many years of experience working in retail and my experience at Brandy shows just how little they care about their customers...unless you're white. This store has very cute clothes but the customer service is terrible!! The employees are completely unaware of their customers. They are rude, apathetic, and unhelpful. No greeting and no "thanks for coming in" or "have a great day." The store's atmosphere is unwelcoming at best and it almost feels like they don't want people to come in at all. When I bought a tank top, the price tag said $12 but they charged me $18. Had to go back into the store to get that settled. They didn't apologize or anything. I've been a frequent shopper and buyer at this store but with the terrible service, no return policy (only exchange or store credit within 14 days!!), and the brand only making clothes for one small size I rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

The store is too small especially considering the crowds and the amount of merchandise they have in there, However they do their best to be organized. As other reviewers mentioned, the staff is kind of rude, and I've only really had one staff member talk to me or greet me when I came in. It's nice to finally have a Brandy Melville store in Seattle, but it could be better. Update: Turns out the location is a test location, so they will hopefully be getting a bigger location eventually, and I did have better luck with the employees. I read some of the reviews, but I completely disagree. They had a very large selection of clothes. (I went into the dressing room 4 times). Their staff was very young, but very very welcoming. They helped me find what I was looking for, and was very gracious about it. The 2 downsides for me was it was decently crowded (it was a Tuesday morning??) and it was tucked away in a very odd spot.
