I got a great pedicure here and the staff was very friendly, would definitely recommend this salon!

I stopped by for a pedicure. Price was reasonable for a regular polish pedicure at $30 plus $2 for a reusable nail kit. I think it is good they are offering kits to be more hygienic and environmentally friendly. I did not notice any pedicure salt being used in the foot soak. There was a liner used in the basin. Pedicure service included cuticle care, nail cutting, shaping, foot scrub, a decent lower leg massage and a polish application. The foot scrub consisted of using a pumice stone (part of nail kit) to scrub the foot. I would have liked a body scrub for the lower legs. Overall, it was a decent basic pedicure service for the price. Service was about 40 minutes plus drying time with a fan. I thought that was great that they made sure your nails were dry before you leave. Overall, 3.5 star experience. COVID precautions were in place. Staff wore face masks. Hand sanitizer was available. There were plastic barriers between customers and staff. read more

I've been here a few times and they do a fairly good job on your nails. Some nail techs are slower than others (took over 1.5 hrs for my French tip full set) but good service nonetheless. Nail tech I had rushed my top coat which now has air bubbles but it still looks really good. Ask for the owner, Linda, when you get your nails done. She's knowledgeable about shapes and super efficient. Also - the increase of prices recently is ridiculous compared to other salons in the area ($50+ for a fill is ridiculous in my opinion). I'd go here again but if they adjust their prices/have some kind of promo happening. read more

I've been going to Brandon's for a while and never really had any issues besides one of the employees being a little too rough with my nails. I went back for a fill of acrylic and shellac on Monday June 26th 2017 and the male owner did my nails. He rushed. Colouring wasn't very even either. I noticed a pain in my right hand, middle finger. It was a throbbing pain. I brushed it off and didn't really think anything of it. I woke up today, Friday June 30th 2017 and noticed I have something that looks like a blister right by the nail. Along that came a throbbing and stinging pain. At that moment I knew it was an infection. I went to a clinic and indeed, infection. The doctor had to drain the puss and prescribed me meds incase it doesn't heal properly. Please be careful when going to Brandon's nails as they do not use proper sterilization for their tools. I would have done no stars but that wasn't a choice. If you read this please know they make up prices on the spot. They tried to over charge me for a simple 2 design set and the rest plain. The one lady who usually sits near the front who's an older lady is who did my nails. Just know she rushed my nails infected it due going too going too close on my cuticles. My finger took MONTHS to heal. I 100% was so disappointed with the work she did I had to go back complain and get it re-done. I was so mad to see how much she had to do when I went back. They are very unprofessional...well at least that older lady who sits in the front. The picture is the best I could try to take. Dropped in without an appointment to see if they would have time for a pedicure the older woman said yeah go wash your hands, when they were filling up the tub they put no soap, no nothing in the water for your feet, water was cold I had to ask the lady to give it more hot water. I asked the gal to shorten my toenails and she didn't listen. Just horrible service would never recommend this place, even giving this place a 1 star it to much. read more

This is a month late review, but here it goes. Worst salon I have ever been to. Lady's were rude and rushed me even though it was empty inside with one person getting a service. I asked for my eyebrows to be done so she said okay... I told her please don't make my eyebrows thinner just shape them. I walked out with hardly any eyebrows left. Won't ever be back. Still waiting for my eyebrows to grow in ... not only did she hack them they didn't even look the same shape. I had beautiful eyebrows before and just needed them to be cleaned up and now my friends ask me who did my eyebrows because they are whack. read more

Came in with out an appointment, staff was really nice. Nails how ever were terrible, awful even. I had asked for extensions and showed them pics of what I wanted. I had some long nails and some that were broken. She informed me that she would have to cut them, asked me if I was okay with that, I said sure, she than told me I better not regret it after lol I agreed. She than changed her mind and said lets keep them and just do extensions on the broken ones only. Again I agreed, assuming she would make them match..some how..I don't know much about this acrylic and gel nail process..HOLY COW every nail was a different shape and shade ! in hind sight I think she just didn't want to have to shape all 10 nails, as she only put gel over my original nails cause I had said thats the shape I wanted. Over all a very painful experience, she used some pointy rotating tool to clean under the nail ? that was quite uncomfortable, She also cut my finger with the rotating thing as well. All said and done it came out to $31.50. I wasn't asked if I was happy with the shape or the way it looked or anything, but honestly anyone who looks at those nails and thinks thats an acceptable job clearly doesn't care either way.I removed the nails at home later that afternoon. They were just too ugly lol Nail salons have so many nail technicians, so I guess it really comes down to which particular nail tech you get. read more

Horrible service my teen daughter and her friend went to get their nails done for her birthday and they did a botch job didn't put them on properly looks like an apprentice did it nothing like what my daughter asked for. They refused to put white on my daughters friends nails told her she is too dark to have white nails done. They look nothing like what my daughter asked for . Not even remotely . My daughter asked for coffin cut they did straight cut. Wouldn't use the colors they asked for, The acrylic itself is bumpy . When I asked to speak to the manager they would not put them on instead the nail technician came on and refused to fix the job . Instead she said my daughter didn't have to pay but didn't give her back her money . She tried to raise her voice at me . And made no attempt to fix their nails at all instead she yelled at my daughter and her friend. I feel like if an adult went they would have done a better job . It seems they rushed it and took advantage of the girls being young . I do not recommend them at all and will never ever give them any business. read more

I have been going here for a while for powder gel fills. Was OK although the place looks like a VERY good clean and tidy up would not be a bad thing. I am always concerned when a nail place looks a bit dirty as I wonder if I might pick up an infection? Which I did not but still......... However, my last fill was rather sloppy and chipped and peeled after just a couple of days. When I went back to get this fixed, I got a lot of attitude which made me very uncomfortable. They fixed 2 nails but with a very poor attitude. I decided even before I left that day not to go back. I am the customer and should not be made to feel so bad when I challenge poor work that I paid for. $30-40 may not seem a lot to gripe about but it sure adds up over time so I expect good results for my hard earned money. the make worker rushed through filing my nails and cut me very deep with the file and continued to file upon dark red blood abs didn't stop. he applied some type of liquid and it turned completely brown black instead of applying alcohol to stop the bleeding. the shape was wrong none if the nails matched and he didn't stop filing in the same spot after u told him to stop and there was blood on the file not mention he nicked me twice too. read more

Had the worst manicure EVER at Brandons. I am not even sure the woman knew what she was doing....had to have another woman standing behind her telling her what to do...and no, they were not busy. Came for a shellac mani. Sloppy work. My nails were not filed properly. Then the paint job was obscene . Maybe I'm being too harsh but my cuticles have nailpolish everywhere. All I got was shellac on my real nails and the girl rushed it terribly. One of my nails are shorter than the rest of mine and i asked her to make it longer and she said it was doable but to leave it. They were badly shaped and the colour was put on sloppy. It took her 10 minutes to complete my nails. terrible service and terrible job. read more

I went on Friday for a Pedicure, started with a lady, who even though I asked her to leave my toe alone, decided to remove an ingrown toenail (I had a wedding the next day and didn't want a sore foot). Then I got switched over to a man, who again, would NOT leave my toe aloe... it bled, I asked nicely not to touch it, not to cut any more skin off, repeatedly... and ended up having to yell to LEAVE IT ALONE when he went back at it for a fifth time with the cuticle trimmers (WHILE it was bleeding!!!) I could hardly walk in my heels at the wedding in which I was in the bridal party the next day, and now it is badly infected. I'll be heading to the doctor, and will be contacting the health board. My nails look great, but the service is why I'll never recommend this place to anyone. The nail tech asked me if the slight discolouration on my face was a tattoo (why would anyone get a tattoo of a brown patch on their face), and when I told her no, she made a face and told me I should get cosmetic surgery to fix it. Anyone who works with customers should have the common sense not to comment on people's physical appearances, especially when that place is a nail salon where people go to get pampered, not insulted. It was blatantly obvious that she was talking about my face with the other workers there, and one lady even directly pointed and laughed at me. Truly appalling, and such a shame because I live nearby and they did a great job on my nails. read more

I came here based on reviews and I was desperate to get acrylic shellac done for an event and my regular nail place (Sposa Nails in Langley - HIGHLY RECOMMEND) was closed. Brandon's Nails is literally a 3 minute walk from where I live so I thought I'd try it out. I really hated the way Linda buffed my nails. She used a tool under my nail that felt like it was poking under my skin and I thought my fingers were about to bleed it hurt so bad. The products used were cheap. The shellac was bubbly and thick. It was gloopy along the sides and Linda did not try to clean it up, so I went for weeks after looking stupid with fat, thick nail polish. The acrylics also lifted within a week. Overall, just cheap products used and did not like the technique of how my nails were prepped. Won't make the mistake of going back. read more

I've been coming to Brandon's off and on for that last 6 years. Every time I do, I don't usually book an appointment and walk in, which the wait time isn't very long. They have a huge selection of shellac or gel nail colours as well as glitter tips. Their prices are reasonable and the customer service is very good. They do talk in their language to each other but I don't find it rude or anything. They don't rush you out the door and pay attention to detail. I usually see Sue if she's free, she does an amazing job. I will always come back. read more

This is my first time at this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure because I was visiting a friend in the area. They were nice to me and greeted me but they told me to go sit in the pedicure chair and I waited about 20 minutes...I understand Vietnamese myself and the lady who was doing my pedicure was helping someone else. All I could hear was them gossiping about other customers inside the salon. One coming from a man who seems to be the owner. They were so rude and to me as well. For letting me sit in the pedicure chair for 20 minutes! Honestly tell me sit there when youre absolutely ready. There is no air con on. It was a bit stuffy and they left the front door open the floor around me had some skin shavings!!! WTF. I've seriously been to better nail salons. THE WORST NAIL SALON EVER! I went in with my sister, she was going to get a pedi and gel full set done and I was going to get a pedi done. We had an appointment. As soon as we walked in, they claimed their machines were down and we needed to bring cash if we wanted to receive any services. In the beginning, I thought they were being honest, but later on after thinking about it, it seemed like a lie so they could just get paid in cash. Our pedis were done in about ten minutes, it was ridiculous how much they rushed. The lady cut my skin around my toe so badly, it bled for so long. She didn't even apologize once during the whole time. My nails weren't even shaped, they were pointy and jagged on the edges. I had to ask her to fix them and all I got back was attitude in return. They barely massaged our legs, maybe for ten seconds. Also, the reason she probably cut me so bad is because she barely let my toes soak in the water before snipping the extra cuticles. When my sister asked for the massage machine to be turned on, a whole fuss was made. The lady working on me rushed all the coats of my nail polish and didn't even seat me in front of a dryer so that my toenails could dry so they got smudged even after a long time of being careful. During the pedicure, they were talking about us in their language and we could tell it was in a negative manner. Overall, horrible experience and I've been going there for years so one would think that I would receive decent service. I will never go back there again. read more
