I've truly never had a bad experience here. Every time I come here, I leave happy and with some bombass nails. I came in today super excited to finally get my nails done after quarantine. I left the salon so disappointed. The lady who did my nails, I think her name started with an A. Saw it on her drill. Anyways, she was filing away at my nails and she kept filing on my skin, I said ouch and told her. But it just constantly kept happening. My nails are completely uneven and crooked. I told her one nail was longer than the other and she cut it to fix it then told me I should've told her before she shaped it???? She didn't even clean the dust off my hands properly then proceeded to lotion my hands? There was nail polish stuck all over my hands? She also didn't give me cuticle oil at the end?? No big deal but still. If I'm paying for the full service then I would like to receive it. Also my full set was supposed to be 1.5 hours but it took her 2 hours for a basic 1 colour full set. -. Was very upset today. Went to get my nails done before my birthday this Saturday and grew out my nails specifically for it. Toes were done well but extremely upset with my nails! The technician checked on length and I said okay but not realizing she had completely filed it down so short that there was barely nail left. I came in with the longest nails and left with the shortest and barely anything left and I had done shellac! So now I have to find another salon to get it redone with acrylic or gel, which I wanted to avoid that's why I grew them out! I'm so upset, waste of time and money and ruined my bday get together with my 3 sisters. On top of that she kept arguing back that she checked. So ive been here 3 times during the pandemic. Although they do a good job of keeping things, its a tad crowded. The worst part is I always make an appointment but they always run late which would be fine but then the rush the service and make it feel like its your fault that the appointment's behind. It dosnt help when they constantly speak to one another, where the tone is catty as one cant understand as it's not in English. I speak a second language so im all for inclusivity but for the most part its easy to pick up when youre being talked about and not in a good way. After being rushed through an appointment, especially tonight when it's open till 7:00 p.m. but staff began to rush by 6:00 p.m. and began leaving by 6:30 p.m. I felt horrible being there. I was asked to pay as they wanted to cash out at 6:30 p.m when my mani polish wasnt even applied yet. I am all for accommodating but I was made to feel like a burden when I am respectful, showed up on time, had to wait, then get rushed though for a service I was overcharged for. When booking, the price is indicated. A deluxe mani/pedi with paraffin for hands & feet is $70 plus an additional charge of gel removal which I was told was $5.00. I was charged $94.00 before tip. I had three people pass me around as each wanted to leave so took turns to hurry the process. Ive given this place many chances as its clean but their customer service is seriously lacking. I AM IMPRESSED!!! This is my first time here. It's a treat for my daughter for Graduation. Of course the 2nd daughter had to come too haha. First, making the reservations online. It was quick and easy. There was even a spot for special instructions, I was so impressed. My younger daughter doesn't like her cuticles trimmed. She had two bad experiences in the past at another salon where they cut more than just her cuticles. So in the special instruction area, I wrote no cuticle trimming for her. We were greeted upon entry, and were politely told to go choose the nail polish colour. Once we chose the colours, we were seated immediately in the massage chairs. They were ready for us and had the water running for the foot bath already. The ladies began working on us right away. I was observant of what was going on around me and I noticed that all the ladies who were working on customers were wearing masks and gloves!! AWESOME!! Which brings me to mention how clean and sanitized the whole shop is. Even the waiting area was great. two large comfortable couches / sofas to lounge on while waiting for people. High ceilings and two large TV's for your viewing pleasure. I was waiting and watching for the part where they trim cuticles ... and sure enough, the lady working on my younger daughter confirmed with her about no cuticle trimming!!!!!! YES!!! they actually READ about their next appointments!! My daughter explained what happened at another salon and agreed to let the lady trim her cuticles and the lady gingerly trimmed around the nail without issue!!!!!!! We all agreed that our favourite part of the pedicure was the massage ... aaaah! FREE WIFI with a strong signal to boot, this is a plus plus plus! Could anything have made this appointment better? Maybe an offer of water, tea or coffee ... but I was happy with my Starbucks. So not a huge issue at all. And the price? Another plus!! Their services are priced competitively for sure. I was in the mood for a bit of pampering on a short notice so coming the Pure fit the bill and it was close by! Salon was conveniently located in a strip mall which meant free parking and a Starbucks a couple doors over! Walked into an open modern space that was very clean (yes clean) and not cluttered! I was greeted and told to go to the wall to select a polish and have a seat at the indicated pedi massage chair. i had to figure out the chair and fiddled a bit while the lady doing my pedi worked efficiently and nice she would ask me if i was ok with each step before continuing on. I got a pedi with parafin and polish so I was there about an hour. Great work and reasonably priced as well as easy to make an appointment online! I didn't give 5 stars due to 1) having to search the wall first for a polish colour (gel i assume got the nail palette), 2) the massage chair could have been started by the tech first at a low level with ability to increase pressure as the setting I had was pretty strong and it vibrated so much that my coffee almost spilled! ( i know, i could have asked for instruction but used to the tech starting the chair in other salons) However, I would definitely return when i come into Vancouver again and love the nail drying and cuticle oil at the end! read more

Especially with covid, you would expect the place to be cleaner but the plexiglass had marks all over it, fingerprints, polish..etc. The chair table had dust/powder from filing all over and the black trolleys they use to put supplies on as so filthy. At least the tools they used were in clean looking plastic sleeves but I felt so gross getting my nails done. It looked as though no one cleans around the store .. even once a day. Learn from my mistake and instead come to Pure Nails. Update: 24hr in and I already have 2 nails chipped and one's fallen off. The worst manicure I've ever gotten. I went here based on previous reviews and I must say that I was not impressed. My nails aren't a uniform shape or length , the acrylic feels thick, flimsy, and it sticks out upwards, and I had to request multiple corrections (like painfully rough edges) and they still aren't the way I want them. My nails are completely straight and wasn't made with care.The price for me was $50 but the design i wasnt was gonna take $10 more. But when I paid it was $80 which was way out of my price range. I felt so unhappy with the rushed work and manner--and I had to get it corrected the same week at a salon whose work and manner was excellent. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been too, they try to SCAM you as a customer and they are unsanitary! they use the same buffers on each customer with out cleaning them, I got a fungus under my nail after going there reported it to them and the manager refuse to do another. they don't clean the chairs after each customer use, The metal tool they use to grind down your nails they do not change them after each customer, they are using the same dirty tools on each customer Fiona is super unprofessional and so is the managers there, they lack customers service skills, even when they use the grater to clean your feet they wash it off in the same dirty water as your feet are in. they are not friendly there and if you asked them to fix they shitty service they give you they get upset and try to scam you, They tried to charge my credit card with out my knowledge a few times but my bank blocked the charge. I have been going to this salon for the past 2 years!! and I have spent a lot of money with them the past two times I got my nails done with the matte color the nails started stripping for the use of the poor product that they are using. today I was very upset when I went to get my nails fix, I said to Fiona I would like you to fix and change the color as the same thing happens last time with the polish stripping. she said okay no problem wait, I waited for 1hr 30 mins to have them fixed the issue, when it was time to go they were asking me to pay I said why do I need to pay for you to fix the issue the manager was very unprofessional and rude!! so I told them I would not be paying for there mistakes or shitty products they are using. The last time one of my toes the polish started coming off I went there said the same issue with my one toe, they gave me attitude and did not want to fix it for free they asked me to pay. Told them I would not be paying as I paid 180 dollars to get less then a week before to have the issue fix. when you get a new set or fill they are nice to you, but when you asked them to fix any issue you are having they give you attitude, The only person that is nice there is Amy she is sweet, the rest including the manager. They also have some shady dealing going on there could be a money laundering location and they are trying to cover the scam they are running up. A $20 appointment turned into $90, but still pleased with the quality of work. Best part was the hand and calve massage and the massage chair was delightful. I've been to this place a couple times and the service is not bad but the ladies doing nails seems distracted most of the time. I did something simple the first time there and when I talked to the girl who was doing my nails about designs, she said I can look on Pinterest or Instagram for design inspirations for them to do. So I did that for the next few visits, but they weren't able to do any of the designs I wanted. I just think that if you are not able to do designs, you shouldn't say that you are able to.
