I called them and asked if they had any spots available for the "classical mani and classical pedi" which they said to come in right away. As I came in I told them that I called about "classical mani and pedi" combo. They sat me down and started the procedure. The nail ladies were very kind and I will give Charming salon a star for that. I will also give them another star for the foot and hand massage, because I quite enjoyed that. Now for the mani itself, I ended up with air bubbles on some of my nails. But hey at least it's regular polish and it will come off easily and it's not that expensive for the overall experience??? Wrong! As I came up to pay, the machine read $89! I kindly asked the lady as to why is it that much. As online it said only $52. She then told me that the $52 is for "classical mani and classical pedi" and they gave me shellac! That I did not ask for. (To clarify I do not go to nail salons often, and don't have a clear picture of which procedures do what and what they look like). Now I will know.. I then told the lady that this is frustrating as the classical mani and pedi is what I asked for in the beginning and she apologized. And of course I ended up paying that much :( Overall the experience was okay. I got the massage and my pedicure looks great. But I just can't help but feel cheated. Why do I have to pay some much more for a miscommunication on their part. Safe to say I will not be returning as it's not worth the price.

My sister and I booked appointments the night before the scheduled date. They were able to accomodate us on short notice, so we felt really lucky! Laura worked on both our pedicures (our appointments were one after another, if we booked more in advance they would have been able to schedule us at the same time). She was incredibly caring and checked in to ask if the temperature of the water was ok, if ever I felt uncomfortable to let her know, if the color was OK after she put a drop on the first toe. I could really tell that they are very attentive to their customers and care about helping them feel as comfortable as possible! I'm so happy with how pretty my toes looked at the end of the service (light cotton-candy pink). It was such a relaxing and pleasant experience! It was the perfect way to check something off my list of things to enjoy during my vacation.

We both were seated in spa pedicure chairs beside each other, but I think they said that the massaging chair wasn't working. I read my book during this ( there wasn't TV ) which was fine- I love reading and prefer it rather then watching something I'm not interested in, or can't hear - which seems to happen at some salons. I picked out deep blue shellac gel polish with "cat eye" effect. It cost extra I was informed and "did I still want it? " I was asked before she got it ready. This was good as I didn't mind - but I hate to find out after the fact. I encouraged my husband to get the shellac as well. For the extra 10$ you get a product that doesn't chip and dries so quick( no way I would ever go back to the days of waiting under fans for nails to dry - only to smudge & wreck them before you got home ! ) At first the girl had just painted his with a clear coat- and seemed a bit surprised when he requested black. But she didn't mind - she painted them and he was done after curing them under the lights. He is normally extremely ticklish- but he was so relaxed he actually fell asleep a few times ! His feet were 100% better. They look and feel great and I encourage all men to get it done - ( just mabey not the black nails - not for everyone! ) He left, and I then had my nails done. She did such an incredible job ! Perfectly shaped, excellent length & thickness. I got the matching blue gel with the "cat eye" effect. I asked about nail art and she had a huge selection of jewels to chose from. I picked out 2 matching ones to go on my ring fingers. She expertly applied them so that they are not coming off ! Normally I hate the time it takes sitting there, getting it done. But the time went by quickly. She was very friendly and pleasant. She listed off each service and price as she calculated the cost. I was also given a stamp card ( with 3 stamps on to start ) Cost for a full set with the shellac, cat eye, 2 gems, 2 shellac pedicures, one with cat eye and tax all came to 190$ before tip. I would highly recommend, and would repeat if I was in the neighbourhood again. Not a big fancy salon - but great work with very fair prices. 4.5 stars.

My appointment was scheduled for 1:15 PM for a 60-minute service, but I was not brought into the room until around 1:25 PM. By 2:27 PM, I was already back in my car, so it did not feel like I received the full service I paid for. I was also unhappy with how my hair was left afterward. It was still half dry and not presentable to walk out with, so I ended up leaving with my hair tied in a bun instead of properly finished. Unfortunately, this experience also ruined part of my Mother's Day celebration, which made it even more upsetting. Sadly, I will not be returning. Update: After I originally posted feedback about my experience, the business first offered a partial refund, then agreed to a full refund. However, they later stated the refund would only be processed if I removed my Google review. As of now, no refund has been issued. I no longer feel comfortable with how the situation was handled. I was also concerned about cleanliness of the tools they use. I asked a lady who works there about sterilizing the tools and she didn't know what sterilization was. I hope it was just due to her limited English and that they do sterilize them. This is a cheap place and as such they didn't even offer pedicure slippers. They ignored my request for one. I heard later from a friend who went there the same week that they wanted to charge her for the slippers. Needless to say, I am not going back there again.

I was a regular customer of Kai and was really sad that the previous owner decided to sell. However, after visiting Blissful, I'm glad that they retained the standards and services that sets this place apart from your typical nail salons. Love love love this place -- very clean and sanitized. The interior is clean, airy and relaxing plus they use tools, equipment and polishes that aren't typically found in other places -- case in point: they use an autoclave to sanitize their tools. Prices for their services might be a few dollars higher but you're paying for top notch products and services. They use Ativo products (oils, scrubs, lotions,etc) which are amazing plus Akentz gel polish that are super durable and wonderful! My nails have improved a lot and I can grow them super long after regularly coming here. For my first visit since the place changed ownership, my nail tech was Judy. She was very pleasant and knew her craft. Her hands were light and she cleaned my nail beds really well. She took her time and was not rushing to finish which was great. I decided to forgo gel nails this time around since my nails constantly had gel for almost a year. I appreciated the fact that she wasn't pushing me to use gel polish this time around. Also, thank you for suggesting we put gel overlay on two nails with breakage (skiing related nail breakage) so that I won't feel pain as it grows out. We also chatted for a bit about how they plan to continue what Kai has started and I told her that I'm very happy to hear that because this place is one of a kind. I look forward to coming back again after a few weeks and get gel nail art from them as they've posted really pretty ones on their social media accounts.
