Came here for the first time with a girl friend during COVID. I called in and booked mani and pedis for both of us at the same time. No walk ins right now due to COVID. I just booked regular polish for both of us since I didn't want to do gel with COVID uncertainty. There was no pressure at all to upgrade on the call or when we arrived the day of. (You know how it can be...) First impressions walking in: Very clean and bright. Hand sanitizer was right by the door and they asked us to wash our hands at the sink. Because my friend and I were in the same bubble, we could sit side by side for both pedis and manis. There was plexi glass separating us from the staff and each other when we were getting the manis. They opened up new tools in front of us. Again, important during a pandemic or not!! No one needs a nail infection... Parking: SO MUCH street parking all over. And free! Overall, it was wonderful. The owner is so fun to chat to too!! I would definitely return again the next time I'm in the area. read more

I came here for a pedicure and unfortunately wasn't very impressed with my first experience. The first thing I noticed was that the arm of the pedicure chair was pretty dirty. The pedicure started off fine with soaking and exfoliating, but when the technician was cutting my nails, she accidentally cut the corner of my left big toe and it started bleeding. She noticed right away and took care of it, and the bleeding stopped quickly. I've had many pedicures before and this was the first time I've ever been cut to the point of bleeding, so I didn't feel comfortable having her continue. I asked her to just colour my nails. Another technician ended up taking over and she was much better and seemed more experienced. My biggest issue was really the cleanliness. Besides the chair, the UV/LED nail lamp was visibly dirty with a lot of old stains and residue on it. Overall, the service was okay, especially after the second nail technician took over, but between getting cut and the cleanliness of the place, I wouldn't come back. I must say I am impressed with the products, tools and services. Blissful uses non-toxic products that don't sting your nose nor gives you headache and can sometimes irritate your skin. The nail technicians are all friendly and they know what they're doing. I was told that they never reuse their foot scrubs. This is very important to me and I guess to everyone. You don't want to be using the same scrubs other people used. Blissful Beauty Lounge replaced the well-loved Kai Beauty Lounge after the previous owner sold the business to the new owners - Lynn and Judy. I was a regular customer of Kai and was really sad that the previous owner decided to sell. However, after visiting Blissful, I'm glad that they retained the standards and services that sets this place apart from your typical nail salons. Love love love this place -- very clean and sanitized. The interior is clean, airy and relaxing plus they use tools, equipment and polishes that aren't typically found in other places -- case in point: they use an autoclave to sanitize their tools. Prices for their services might be a few dollars higher but you're paying for top notch products and services. They use Ativo products (oils, scrubs, lotions,etc) which are amazing plus Akentz gel polish that are super durable and wonderful! My nails have improved a lot and I can grow them super long after regularly coming here. For my first visit since the place changed ownership, my nail tech was Judy. She was very pleasant and knew her craft. Her hands were light and she cleaned my nail beds really well. She took her time and was not rushing to finish which was great. I decided to forgo gel nails this time around since my nails constantly had gel for almost a year. I appreciated the fact that she wasn't pushing me to use gel polish this time around. Also, thank you for suggesting we put gel overlay on two nails with breakage (skiing related nail breakage) so that I won't feel pain as it grows out. We also chatted for a bit about how they plan to continue what Kai has started and I told her that I'm very happy to hear that because this place is one of a kind. I look forward to coming back again after a few weeks and get gel nail art from them as they've posted really pretty ones on their social media accounts. read more

I have visited Blissful several times before and it has always been pleasant and amazing! One of the many things that I love about this studio is the cleanliness of it. They have a dedicated sanitation room to disinfect all their tools and equipment, and especially during these times it's even more important. During this visit, I was greeted with staff that wore face masks and hand sanitizer at the door. I was also asked to wash my hands before getting started. Throughout the appointment I felt very safe and confident because there was a protective sneeze guard placed between the technician and me. My technician made sure that I was comfortable and adjusted to preference (length, colour, shape etc) every step of the way. There's no doubt that I will return for a pedicure soon, and I highly recommend this studio to anyone who is big on friendly staff, hygiene, and cute designs. read more

Lynn gave me a gel manicure and it was very bad. I left with tons of bubbles and uneven gel nail polish. The shape of the nails were all uneven. She also asked a lot of personal questions which I thought was strange. Anyways, I decided to come back to another nail technician to get a pedicure. Worst mistake ever. I had the worst pedicure of my life. The nail technician was nice but she had the water on too hot the entire time. Everything was painful and I have a pretty high plain tolerance. She was very rough with the buffing, shaping and cuticle care. My toes were bleeding at the end and they had the ugliest nail shape she made my toes look super stubby. Never had that issue before. It was painful even putting shoes on and walking out of the salon. That's not normal. This salon is highly overrated with really terrible work. read more

i used to come here when it was Blissful and the quality was so much better. i came two weeks ago and had a fine experience w my gel fill, then then this time it took the girl 1.5 hrs for a gel fill. she seemed more interested in what her coworker was showing her on her cell phone, picking the music for the tv, and checking her own cell phone while doing my nails. they turned out horrible, uneven shape, and i watched her remove 5 different nails AFTER painting them to repaint them. i've never seen that before. i still was really unhappy w the finished product and had her remove them before i left. need to get them redone elsewhere tomorrow. :/ then she still charged me full price. definitely don't go here read more

Don't ever go here. Don't be deceived with the interior of their salon. I had a pedicure service. It was done quickly. It seems like he was in a hurry but there were no other customers but me. The worst was he used a cuticle clipper not sterilized. He just sprayed it with alcohol and wiped it with a towel. Disgusting! read more

Pedicure was mediocre. They only scrubbed the rough skin on the bottom of my heels, not the sides, so it was half dry skin removal. Polish was done well, so that's one good thing. read more

I don't usually get my nails done, but I decided to go in with a girlfriend to try out the new place! We had an amazing experience with the new owner Lynn, she is very kind and caring about her clients. She is also a perfectionist; so if you're looking for someone as OCD about your nails as you are, you can definitely count on her for perfect nails! The shop was extremely clean!! Honestly one of the cleanest salons I've ever stepped foot into... The salon looks absolutely flawless, but at the same time it was comfortable and welcoming with lots of natural lighting (which I love, so I don't fall asleep whilst pampering myself). Prices are also reasonable for the kind of service and atmosphere you are getting. It is obvious the staff and owners goes above and beyond for each client. They might take a little longer during your service, but that is because they want to ensure you the best quality! Honestly I would prefer quality over quaintly any day. read more

I have gotten a lot of manis and pedis but usually am just waiting to get through it and don't enjoy the experience. However, my first time coming here was different because of Lynn. As many reviewers mention, she does fabulous work and also has a wonderful demeanor. She works fast but is careful, and like she said, is a perfectionist. I went to check out the newest salon since under new management. I had a awful experience there, getting my nails done I noticed the nail technicians would talk about people and look at them, and then they would all laugh and there is for poor customer service. It took 2.5 hours to get a fill and pedicure done. I would not spend my money here again. read more

Small and clean nail salon with great customer service. The staff here are great, the vibe is relaxed as usually not more than a couple other people in the shop at the same time. Music is low so you can still chat, chairs are comfortable but not massage style. They do good work as well at good prices. I go here for my pedicures mostly but have had manicures here as well. read more
