They are wonderful here! They do an excellent job with pedicures and with nail extensions. They have the big massage chairs for the pedicures and a wide selection of gel colours. read more

Got my acrylics removed. Didn't take my nail polish or the acrylic fully off and left my hands looking pretty disgusting (dry, sticky acrylic residue on my fingers). Can't believe I got such poor service here lol. Would tell everybody to STAY AWAY. read more

See pictures. Looks like a 5 year old painted shellac on my nails and all over my cuticles and fingers. My lady did not smile or even sit down. I witnessed another lady squatting on a pedicure chair eating her lunch with food falling everywhere. Their product seems cheap as well. When she applied the top coat Im pretty sure the bottle was empty. The brush looked dry. She did way to many coats and kept using a brush with acetone to fix the mess she was making which just made the color bleed all over my skin. My lady must have the worst eyesight, she didnt even cover my nail entirely on most nails. Then when she was done she just walked away. read more

I have been going to Pretty Nails for over two years now. They always accommodate me for walk-ins. The prices are super affordable compared to other salons I've been to in the past. It's a no-nonsense salon, so don't expect the nail tech to be your BFF while working, cause the girls are busy doing a great job! This is the ONE salon that doesn't have automatic tipping which I found really weird. When I asked the owner, she said it's because she doesn't want her customers to feel awkward if they can't afford to tip. How amazing is that?! Anyways, let them know if you want to tip beforehand, or just hand it to the girl who did your nail directly! Highly recommend for cheap and good service. read more

Pretty Nails - Prices - Nail Salons Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

I like coming to this Nail Salon because everyone is so friendly and it's super affordable. So, there's two people who does the nails (Hands) which is the Husband and Wife. The only thing I don't appreciate is the husband takes his time when he does your nails but wife do it so fast and most of the time she would finished in less than half an hour while the husband would finish almost an hour. Sometimes the wife would multitask. She would be in the middle of doing your nails but would stop and would help other client (to prevent the client from leaving) . And most of the time she doesn't file your nails properly and putting colour on the nails are sometimes incomplete. When you come, it's best if husband does it, he does an excellent job. read more

Small but does the job (that's what she said) I don't get my nails done on the regular, but I've been to several places when getting gels done. This place, by far, is the best I've been in. I've had gel sets that would lift after the first 2 weeks! $40 for a full gel set, and believe me, they last. Even if you're nails grow out, they don't break or chip (unless you play sports in them or something rigorous). Run by Vietnamese people, and they are so incredibly sweet! They make conversation and chit-chat with you about how your day is. Tony does incredible nails, so if he's available grab him. But the other girls are good too. They do airbrush and freehand designs. I honestly can't go to another place. read more

I have been going to Pretty Nails for over ten years. Kim and Tony are great! Don't bother making an appointment - walking in is more the style. I've had pedicures and manicures here and the variety of polishes and finishes is wonderful. I've had nails done for weddings, graduations, vacations and other special events and countless pedicures in the summer. It isn't super posh, and there is a tendency to be dusty because they do a lot of fake nails, but they try to keep it clean and the prices are reasonable. I miss Pretty Nails ever since I've moved out of the area but I make a point of returning to catch up with the girlfriends over a pedi. read more

The staff here are relatively friendly, But i have gone several times over the last 8 months, only because I work nearby and I can go on my break... However, every time I get my nails done, I have to watch like a hawk to make sure big spots on my nails are not missed while polishing, or the nails are not crooked. nails are filed and shaped in a sloppy manner, and I always have to touch up when I leave here.. I got my nails done a week ago, and they are already dull and peeling off. I get acrylic with gel overlay. I will be getting my nails re-done at another salon. I do not want to waste my money here anymore. I am glad so many have had good experiences, but for me, that is not the case. Even when I got my pedicure, it was super sloppy, and I definitely could have done a better job myself, but wanted to get some pampering done.. It was one of the OWNERS who painted my toes, and put super thick, gloppy layers of polish on and missed different areas.. time to find another salon. read more

Their nail skill is so low.. As you can see from the photo. Service and attitude is bad too. I'll never go there again. It's very cheap but looks like a crap read more

Pretty Nails - Their nails skill is very low.. So ugly.. Seriously don't go!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

I am new to the area and need somewhere to get my polish done. There are several choices in the area so this will be the one and only time I use them and if the reason sounds harsh I am sorry, but thats how it goes. I walked in at about 3:10. Asked for a polish change. "No problem" they said." Okay I am just gonna go put some money in the meter then, I will be right back!" 15 minutes later sitting they are half way through and they say "oh, they are towing cars". another lady and i jump up and run to the window. i have a ticket ($64) and her car is hooked to the truck!!! thankfully they let her car go and towed the other one. I am upset because i SAID to them..."okay, I am gonna go put money in the meter". as good business owners i feel they should have notified me of the parking issue. it was the most expensive polish change ever. don't bring your car here, there is no parking, just walk. and i was not satisfied with the lady who did my nails i did not catch her name. just my bad luck, i guess. edit: and now I have the headache of trying to pay this freaken ticket. read more

Worst service ever! They did a awful job and definitely don't appreciate your business. Stay far away from this place.

I've been going to Pretty Nails for over 2 decades - I absolutely love their service!!!

This is a very small run shop run by the nicest husband and wife! They are very sweet and welcoming. Don't let their small size fool you, they are extremely capable and always do a fantastic job on my nails. They don't take too long and I am able to get in and out with no fuss. read more

I've been going here for years since my gym is right across from them. I usually get Kim to do my nails for me. I get the UV gel for my manicure and shellac for pedicures. They have very reasonable prices, I would say the lowest compared to a lot of places. I usually book an appointment in advance but I do see girls walking in without an appointment. They are very accommodating. read more

Just moved into the neighborhood and my sister and I went in for an afternoon manicure. I guess we were too busy chatting to notice how filthy the place was until we sat down and our manicure started. It's not just filthy, it's very unsanitary. Unfortunately my good manners stopped me from just walking out and gave them a chance to maybe get a decent manicure. However, the longer I stayed, the more I noticed how gross the place is. The table was covered in white dust - from what I imagine are nail filings from god knows how many other customers. There were discarded fake nails and used paper towels everywhere on the table where I sat. There were open containers of chemicals, dirty bottles of lotion and nail polish, used newspapers to cover spills and stains. The walls were covered in splattered nail polish, the floors hadn't been swept. I feel like throwing up now just thinking of how the dirty the tools must have been. I asked for a shellac gel manicure and a man was assigned to give me my manicure... it was odd since I had never had a male give me a manicure before. He did an ok job but the whole time looked like he didn't want to be there. Halfway through a woman took over. She was even more indifferent.. she didn't even sit down!!! I had to pull my arm back down so I could rest my elbow on the dirty table. She was zoned out and staring into space almost the entire time. What was worse was the manicure itself. It was thick and chunky and sloppy. Shellac manicures are supposed to last 3-4 weeks. One of the nails had already peeled off in a giant chunk by the end of the day. The thick polish was also digging into edge of my finger so I had to peel it off from the discomfort and it started to bleed. Overall, this place should be inspected and shut down. It' so gross. read more

I made an appointment. They made me wait for 30 minutes without any explanation. This place is cheap but quality is bad. After 3 days of manicures I got asked if I painted my nails by myself. Nails are not filed and shaped properly. read more

This place might not look nice ( skit of spots everywhere and old nail stations), but the staff work is good. I went for manicure and the lady did it was very fast and experience . Good and fair prices as well. read more

Well sadly I have broken up with this Salon. I've been going here for a year and a half. My last 3-4 visits the service has gone down hill. My nails were not done very well ( the male that works there is not very good). I went in at 11:15 am. There was one person getting a pedi mani . I was ignored, not asked what service I wanted. When another worker came in (the third now at work) she asked me if I wanted a pedi. I was there for a fill. She sat down and watched her IPad. There were two other ladies that do nail fills and neither attempted to help me. I finally left almost 20 mins later. Sadly never to return. Nails are hit and miss, service is slow and it does not seem that their customers are appreciated . read more

Been coming here for years, price is great! Tony and Kim are sweet and fast. Great for simple mani/pedi's

fixed my nail perfectly!! i broke it and they matched the colour almost perfectly! they we're the only people open and i couldn't have gone anywhere better!! read more

This place sucks! Never go there. I had my gel nails for a week and they started lifting and chipping! Hence the fact that I always get my nails done at other stores, this place is probably the worst place to get your nails done. The people are very friendly, however they did not give me what I wanted. The shape was odd, and they charged me more than expected. I would have bee willing to pay the price if it was done right. read more

Cheap, rushed, meh. The only reason Im not 100% disappointed is probably because I already keep my nails in good shape, and the colour I chose is light enough that you can't see the super messy edges. Also it was only $24 for gel polish on natural nails. ANYWHO I do not recommend this place is you want to be pampered and relaxed, like most people who get manicures. It was super rushed. Though I probably didnt have to make an appointment, they took me right away, she removed my polish with a dremel which i told her right off the bat I don't like because it strips away a layer of my nail and it becomes brittle (my nails are NEVER brittle) As my nails soaked she asked me to choose a color....but....my fingers are soaking?? So of course the aluminum was falling off as she hurriedly asked which colour I wanted, and the colour selection wasn't the best, at least not to my tastes and I was specifically looking for pastels. Oh, cleanliness doesn't really bother me, but if it bothers you this place is pretty messy and dirty. After she removed my polish, she told me to wash my hands...where? In the bathroom. She asked if I wanted a manicure...I thought that's what I was getting? but I said no at fear of an extra charge for a sub par massage and cuticle treatment I didn't need. I am a professional artist, and as she applied the polish while standing I could already tell it was sloppy, feeling small parts touch my skin and that the edges weren't getting a smooth line. I basically had to stop watching. Quick n dirty. No massage, was dremelled off instead of scraped like god intended and messy messy edges. I'm only not super upset because the overall effect is ok and Ive had worse. read more

Tony's great. His wife Kim is good too. The pedicure's are ok. Price is excellent. I've been going there for more than 10 years.

Worst nail salon I have ever been to. It doesn't even deserve a star. Unacceptable service and quality! hygiene issues left, right and center. Don't go here! I made an appointment but I was required to wait a whole hour before color was applied. Different esthetician would visit me in between clients to take off my previous nails or buff them so that I couldn't just up and leave. The job they did was incredibly sloppy, got onto my cuticles and outside my nails and the finish product? No shine. I am actually sitting here at home applying my own top coat. So disappointing. When I complained the owner said it was my fault for not taking care of my cuticles! Seriously guys, DON'T GO TO THIS NAIL SALON read more

I've been loyal to this nail salon for the past three years. As of recently, their customer service and quality of nail polish application has gone down. I've also begin to pay careful attention to the tools that they use during services and i'm sure that they do not clean their tools after each client. The gel polish feels like it wasn't applied with attention to detail and usually feels like its ready to peel the following day. The price is mostly reasonable for a gel mani and regular polish pedi equalling out to be $52.50 after tax and before tip. read more

I've been coming here for over 13 years. I always get the perfect mani/pedi! When I had been asked to wait and I decided to check out others who could fit me in faster I regretted it. Why? Because not once have I ever been nicked at Pretty Nails, nor had shoddy work done which cannot be said about some of the others in this area. I can trust this place, I know I can rely on a perfect, and competent job, and the few times I've had to wait I know it will be worth it. The price is great, the service is efficient. I don't go anywhere else because I've alway's been happy with the results. I do not get false nails so cannot speak to that, everything I do is for the natural nails. read more
