I have only visited twice. It has became my favourite place to get mani & pedi in the the great Vancouver area. The staffs are knowledgeable and pleasant. The massage chair is relaxing. They provide free tea and coffee. They did not skip the massage part for the mani and pedi. It's a wonderful pampering spa experience every time! I can't stop looking at my nails when it's done. Having recently moved to North Delta, I was on the hunt for a new nail salon closer to our new neighbourhood. I happened to be going to Guildford Mall and decided to get my nails done beforehand. Yelp reviewers were right about this place -- clean, nice job, friendly staff, and prices were very comparable to other nail salons! The owner, Lana, was there and was super friendly. I had to wait about 10 minutes (as I did not have an appointment), but I didn't mind as I was not in a rush and it gave me time to look for my nail polish colour. She also offered me some tea or water while waiting, which I declined since I wasn't thirsty at the time. The girl who did my manicure, Noewa, did an excellent job and didn't rush at all. During my manicure, Lana came back to ask if I wanted tea or water this time, and I happily took a cup of tea, which was so nice! Just before my nails were done, I overheard Lana ask Noewa (in a motherly way) if she had taken a break and to get something to eat. If you ask me, that's a nice boss to have, making sure her staff gets the proper treatment! I'm not sure if these 2 ladies were related, but it was still a nice thing for Lana to do. To top it off, they have a stamp/loyalty card, which gives you $5 off after your 5th and 10th visit. This is the only nail salon I've been to that has a stamp card on top of their usual discounts/deals during the week. I will definitely be coming back!! read more

It wasnt my first time getting shellac (hands) but it was my first time getting it done at Model Nails & Spa. I called when the shop opened to check if I needed to make an appointment, but the man on the phone said I can drop in, and so I came in the afternoon of the same day. Upon arrival, I noticed there was just one group of ladies (who looked like they were almost done with their manicures) Lana (owner) was servicing, so I thought waiting shouldnt take long. She made sure I knew she knows that I'm there waiting and was prompt with asking if I wanted some hot beverage (water, coffee, or tea). While waiting, Lana handed me the shellac swatches so I can take a look at the colors in advance. There was a lot of available colors, including omber options as well. I didnt mind the wait, to be honest. After around 20mins of waiting, it was finally my turn. I told Lana the color I wanted and kept asking me if my seat was fine and if I wanted to adjust the portable fan/heater. She was gentle with my hands and with the buffing (which makes me worried sometimes when trying out new salons as others would go rough with my nail bed/cuticles). I cant speak of her shaping skills as my nails didnt need much shaping at this point. She only had to work on whatever length my nails were at (shorter than my usual as I just cut it a few days ago). She applied the polish and coat properly, and overall, I am quite satisfied with the service. I see myself coming back on a lazy Sunday afternoon like today to get my shellac done again - especially in the summer! read more

I stopped by for a pedicure today and got my annual go-to holiday red polish. Lana was my nail technician and she was amazing from start to finish. My feet felt great afterwards. A liner was used in the pedicure basin and kept the basin sanitary. Pedicure included foot soak, cuticle care, foot/leg scrub, hot stone massage, callus exfoliation, hot towel, nail trimming and filing, moisturizer and polish application. My toes were under a nail dryer afterwards to make sure my polish was set. Covid precautions were in place. Hand sanitizer was available. Staff wore face masks. Plastic barriers were in place. Tea and coffee were offered during the nail service. I highly recommend this nail salon if you are in the area. Service is usually great. I keep returning to this salon as service is consistent. Same day appointment was available when I booked my appointment. Prices are average for the area. read more

Loved my first experience here! I walked in at around 10:30 am on a Monday and there was only one other lady getting her nails done, so I was able to be helped right away. The place itself was very clean and we were offered refreshments often, which I found to be super nice. I've been coming here ever since I found this hidden gem back in April of 2020. I refuse to go anywhere else despite the distance ( I recently moved further away.) I always go to my girl Nancy for my nails and everyone there is great. They offer you something to drink, the owners are always making some laugh and smile along with the employees. I bring my son with me at times and they talk to him and offer him juice.. when I'm not with him they always ask me how he's doing. It's the little things for me! Plus the service they give me I am always 100% satisfied. I'm so thankful I found such a wonderful nail salon. Thank you all for your service. Went here today at 11am to get a Mani Pedi for myself and Deluxe Pedi for the hubby. Like others have mentioned, it is very clean and nice on the inside. Lana and a male tech helped us and they both exceeded our expectations. The pedicures were excellent, the male tech who helped my husband took his time to ensure the feet were soft and fresh looking at the end. I really should have taken a before and after picture to show the difference. The salon is well ventilated, which is a big thing for me since I am 38 wks pregnant. Lana showed me the organic products they use to make me feel comfortable. She was very accommodating, she seated us by the back door which was open and directed a fan towards me so the smell wouldn't bother me, and kept checking to make sure I was doing fine. If I could give zero stars I would!! I had an appointment at 5:30 and didn't get sat until 6:30. I then sat for ADDITIONAL 45 minutes at the chair. I asked for an acrylic fill. She then proceeded to TAKE OFF my existing nails and basically re-do them. Despite the sign saying it would be $25, it ended up being $45 for just a fill. I was there for two hours, paid $10 less than a whole new set for a FILL! I was completely blindsided. Just because I am a young female, it should not give you the right as a company to take advantage of me. My mom only gave me $30 for the fill as we are on a tight budget. I was supposed to also pick up my graduation dress today and because I was there for almost 3 HOURS, I was unable to do so. These nails were for my graduation and this ruined that experience for me. Best believe I will NEVER be going back!!!! read more

It was my first time getting my nails done so I fely quite nervous about it as I heard horrible stories about getting nail infection from unsanitary nail salons or getting their nails "murdered". As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by Henry. The salon was sparkling clean and tidy. It didnt last long until we were seated for a pedi. The person who did my mani and pedi was Ryan. Ryan was very gentle with his job. It usually hurts me when I give myself a pedicure and I try to clean the sides of my toe nails. But not with Ryan. He was able to get in there w/o hurting my toes. I also love the complimentary back and foot massage the pedi came with. Moving on with my nails, Ryan was very gentle w the process as well and was understanding w my undecisiveness in regards to how long I want my nails to be. He was very careful with applying the gel nails and nail polish. On top of these, the whole time we were in the salon, we kept getting offered snacks and beverages by Lana. GREAT customer service they gave me and my friend chocolate and tea as well as holding a good conversation, I made a appointment some mis communication happened but they still provided us with what we wanted. So this is the first time my friend and I ever had our nails done at all and so we got them done for grad. We heard about this place online because we didn't want to go to other salons near guildford because we were reading the reviews. We found that Model Nails and Spa has good reviews so we were convinced of going here. At first I was pretty skeptical of the place because of where it is on the outside but inside it was actually so clean and pleasant to see. I assume this was the owner Lana but she made my friend and I feel so welcomed by offering drinks which was so sweet of her. When she had to do other customers' nails she would say politely to wait and she would apologize when she comes back (which was so cute omg) and I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. She took care of our hands and really didn't rush doing them comparing to what I've heard from other salons. She had a few customers calling and asking what time they close but she said she was willing to stay late just for them. This made me realize that she provides the best customer service! However, sometimes I had a little bit of difficulty trying to understand her because her accent is thick but that wasn't really a big issue for me anyways. As for the nails, she exceeded expectations and we were both satisfied with our nails! I do not regret going to this place and I strongly recommend going here. I am definitely going to be a regular here because I really loved the atmosphere and how I was able to feel comfortable. Memorable experience! Most definitely my favourite salon! The most hard working, sweetest, amazing nail technician I have ever met (Lana). I am SO happy she has opened her own nail salon, I have been getting my nails done by her for a year and I always leave happy! Not to mention my nails have lasted me up to 6 weeks! I've only gone twice so far for mani pedis and they were both great experiences. Staff was polite, made me feel very welcome and asked if I wanted any refreshments. The second time I went there was a customer with a complaint making a scene (one of those "my sisters an esthetician this isn't right" know it alls) and was being extremely rude considering her complaint, and the staff handled it very well and professionally and despite how the customer acted they were very polite and did everything for her for free since she wasn't satisfied.
