She felt heard, pampered and well cared for and wants to go back again. I had been a loyal customer before covid and I will be back. I realized how much I miss the attentive care. Brings me sadness to leave a poor review like this. Two of the worst pedicures for my mom and me today. The one lady didn't clip down my mom's toe nails and left them long. When asked for my calluses to be shaved down they said we can't do that, when all other times they have done so. I've been coming here for years but the lack of effort today will make me not return. read more

I have had my nails done here a few times.. I stopped going awhile ago and recently went back last minute before a trip, as this salon is close to where I live. The nails don't last... if u get extensions. I have acrylic tips and they never last even a wk, they start to lift. This salon has ruined my nails in the past and I will not be returning. I have called them to get my nails fixed and they tell me they are busy and won't be able to get me in for days. Which I find highly unprofessional. If it hasn't even been a week and my nails lifting you should make them time to fix that one nail for me. Another issue I have with this salon is the quality of gel they use when filling the nail.. it turns crusty around the edges of the nail Over time .. usually about a week. I have also had the nail tech fight with me about which direction the nail should be shaped etc. Which is so frustrating. read more

Walked in - no appointment and they squeezed me in for a mani & pedi. They were very busy. VERY clean every step of the way. There are 5 manicure stations and 5 pedicure chairs. The small of the lotions and their oils are really nice - not like the common cheep stuff, theirs is nice and floral. Already paid for my meter parking only to find they have parking at the rear. $45 for mani & pedi was great !! read more

I was so disappointed in this salon, parking is terrible and yes while the nails were done nicely, they don't even know how to do free hand designs and they use cheap stickers! Then when it was time to pay it was so OVERPRICED!! Who charges $60 plus dollars for a simple nail fill!! I will never recommend anyone to go to this place ever! read more

A very friendly, professional place. I tried it for the first time last week and was a little dubious given one very negative review I read. My experience was the exact opposite. They were straightforward about the cost of everything; they were kind, accommodating and friendly. Kim went over the pros and cons of dip versus acrylic versus gel nails. She took her time and ensured I was happy with with the colour, length and shape. It's the most comfortable I've felt in a salon in years. No pretence, no upsell, no rushing, nothing fancy, just good old fashioned quality service at reasonable prices. They have a ton of colours to choose from which is great. Walk-ins are welcomed, but to guarantee service, it's better to book ahead. Definitely worth it! read more

Giving this place 3 stars because they accepted me as a walk in for solar nails on a saturday morning. Overall though I wasn't really impressed. My technician didn't really try to talk with me. She was really rough with my hands and it seemed a little too trigger happy with her rotary tool. I was flinching in pain at times because she was grinding my cuticles too much. She also cut my nail bed with her fingernails at an early stage of the process, which led to a lot of stinging when it came to the various cleaning liquids. She did the shape and length perfectly though. I have to question the quality of some of their product. About 80% of the nail polishes offered were separated when I went to look at them. The colour I chose out took forever to set leading to a lot of dings and dents on my way back home. I'm just wondering if it's because the polish was too old?? In short I won't be coming back to this place. read more

I have been going to this Nail Salon for almost 15 years....I love the owners Chi and Lock...they are professional, efficient and very Friendly. Chi is the BEST in the city with whatever your nail needs are....weather Gel, Solar Gel, Shellac, ACrylic, Gel with French Fill....I have tried many and she is the best!!! I am currently loving my gel gold sparkly "goldfingers" nails....I always get people asking where I go. We can not forget my toes...Lana is my gal...she is wonderful, kind and does great work. All of them are really good. With a nail salon every block nowaday I would highly recomment this proven establishment! Keep up the good work!! read more

Been on the lookout for a reliable nail studio in the city for years due to my lack in trust after horrible experiences in different places (getting my nails ripped off by a practitioner, bleeding, etc.). This place is the best and has been the most consistent for me. You can book an appointment or just walk in (they always manage to squeeze me in even if they are busy). Very clean, hygienic studio and tools are cleaned thoroughly. I have sensitive and thin nails and they're never really rough with them and always take their time. The prices are great. This is my go-to for all manis and pedis, plus the girls are all so sweet! read more

Came here on a weekday after making an appointment the day before. It wasn't very busy. The lady that helped me with my Shellac manicure was very detail oriented which I really appreciated. She didn't really give me the nail shape I asked for though which was a bit disappointing. The overall cost of my visit was 40 without tax, given that it was Tuesday I got 10% off which was nice. (They added 5 dollars fee for removing my previous shellac polish since it was done at another nail salon) As an overall the service was nice and the price was average. read more

Worst nail salon I've been to. They overcharged me, did a horrible job. I paid 2x the price for shellac nails. They were thin and peeled of exactly one week after I went. I attempted to talk to the manager to work out some sort of deal or a form of loyalty (% off next set or to get my $$ back) and she disregarded everything I said, argued me and even interrupted her employees who were with clients at the time to give me the walk around some more. I didn't have a great experience at Royal nails. My nail tech was very rough and I now have cuts on four different fingers. Nails were not all fully covered with paint to avoid the cuts. No apology or discount was offered. read more

Delighted! Made an appointment beforehand, and was charged the amount I was told I would be over the phone. I had a mani + pedi and the ladies working on me did a nice job. They were friendly and very gentle. In the end I ended up getting exactly what I wanted and will be back. read more

Got an appointment the same day I called to get shellac nails done for the first time. The place is not all fancied up (so prices are not crazy), but it is SUPER clean, and they are very diligent and clean during the whole process. The girls are very fun and sweet to talk to and dont mind guiding you to what´s best and what they are doing. The color selection is very extensive which is also a plus. The whole process took about an hour, and I have never loved my hands more. Definitely will be coming back here read more

Vey disappointing. Used to go hear a year ago, and recently went back to find it's changed for the worse. Mani pedi there was over in a scant 30 mins and technician even forgot to massage my hands until I asked why she was putting on polish before massage! She made some excuse about me watching the iPad, but I sure won't be going back here ever again. read more

had a gel fill done and it was hideous! For $50 I expected much better. One nail chipped off the next day because it wasn't set properly.

The owners, Chi & Lock are amazing. I've been going to Royal Nails for 10 years and it's always a treat. Their services are always on-time & consistant. Chi is amazing with gel nails. The shape and length are always perfect, very natural looking and my nails never break or lift (unless I wait 5+weeks to refill). I highly recommend her. The lovely thing about the salon is that if you don't feel like having a conversation, you don't feel obligated to have one. If you initiate, the ladies are very nice and are willing to have a good conversation with you. I live in Burnaby and it's well worth the drive just to get the "Royal Treatment". Throw a couple Vietnamese words into a sentence and you're guaranteed a smile & laugh from all the ladies (& Lock) : P read more
