I love open streets, especially on Vanderbilt. With that, Branded has sidewalk seating, seating in the street, and then near the island in the middle of the block. All that to say, they're serving a LOT of people. So of course, service might not be as expedient as you'd expect. But they have a great beer selection. Waitstaff is great. They're family friendly. It has no business being so tasty and so beautifully presented. The service is excellent and the staff charming, professional, and inviting. As a Queer woman I feel safe here. Affirmed. I wish I thought about writing a review before I ate. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and a chicken club. These sandwiches each came with just 1 of the thinnest slices of chicken I've ever seen in my life. I couldn't even tell there was chicken on the sandwich. Literally had to take the top bun off and fold the remainder in half for it to feel like I was eating a little piece of chicken. Ridiculous. And the "salad" was just spinach on top of kale garnished w shredded carrots. Wouldn't recommend eating here...but the fries and music are good. Maybe just come for drinks? read more

Sat outside for a drink with Vanderbilt Ave closed and it was buzzing with an incredibly funny and helpful waiter. Poor guy seemed to be working solo but he was never harried or stressed - just damn funny and efficient! A serious pro who was enjoying the people and his job, thank you! Unfortunately, their menu is terrible and you have to order something to eat with the drinks. Mostly heavy fried foods - please add some lighter fare that isn't as complex as Brussels sprouts, which made well are delectable but made badly and they are not eatable. We ordered chips with a vegan dip on the side that did not look appetizing enough to even dip a chip into. I have been coming here for 2 years. The bartenders are always a good time and they are always welcoming. As most places they do get busy in weekends I understand and when the bartenders get to me they are very polite. Never had an issue and is typically a place I pop in if I want a drink or nice conversation. So glad to have found this gem in Brooklyn. I definitely recommend this bar. I stumbled upon this place while walking home. I stopped to grab a beer. The place was pretty small from what I saw but for the most part I did sit outside at their outdoor tables which was nice. They did have my favorite sour from the Brooklyn brewery (which means I no longer have to go all the way to Williamsburg for a good sour) but the server was pretty slow but they were very friendly. It's definitely not a bad place to go if you want to have a beer and sit out in the sun with out it being over crowded like typical Brooklyn bars. If they just picked up the patch a little more I would definitely go more often! I gave this place a 3/5 because I will e returning but only if I am in a real pinch to grab a beer and be able to sit outside comfortably in Brooklyn. read more

5/5 stars for karaoke night at Branded. It's the only reason why I would ever come here. Otherwise, this place is expensive... but even also petty, as I came to find out recently. Example: I cannot drink alcohol at the moment, but there is a two-drink minimum for karaoke. I have no problem with this- I ordered a seltzer with lime, fully expecting to pay whatever that costs (I had assumed it would only be a few bucks- more on that later). Eventually, I decide I'm going to buy the karaoke host some cocktails. I figure I would do this b/c a) the bar for some reason doesn't consistently offer the karaoke host any extra perks like free drinks and b) I felt bad about making the two-drink minimum by just ordering seltzers, which are obviously going to be less expensive than booze. Because I ordered two scotch and sodas (one with a top-shelf liquor) I expected that my seltzers would be comped... that's pretty standard. In fact, most people/establishments are kind enough to just waive the cost even if seltzer is the only thing I order (I always tip). But no. I get my bill and not only am I charged for the seltzers... I'm charged *5 dollars* for each seltzer. The bill, which I expected to be around 25 dollars for the already slightly overpriced cocktails (2 scotch and sodas), ended up being almost 50 dollars b/c I wanted sparkly hydration. They also for some reason charge you the tax on beer? Like, wtf- charge an even amount so the rest of the money can go to the bartender. Anyway, Branded- I love you for the karaoke, but please consider changing your policy about sparkly water if someone is ordering booze on top of that... read more

Been here a few times. Every time gets better and better. I popped in for lunch one day and Ellen behind the bar was a total sweetheart. Food was delicious! Recently came in with a group of 11, and Adam took SUCH GREAT CARE OF US! We were a larger group who ordered drinks and food, all of which was delicious, fresh, gorgeously prepared, and prompt-- but the kind and generous lighthearted service Adam provided was amazing. This bar gets major atmosphere points-- the western saloon vibe is both very sincere and whimsical. The events going on here also look great, I peeked in on a well attended open mic in the back room that had some promising acts. Highly recommended for dates (there are cute booths), lunches, parties, shows, events-- this place can definitely accommodate literally anything. We came here on my partner's birthday and the staff were phenomenal: they lent her a crown, even bowing to her (it made us laugh) for show, and then naturally didn't "let" us leave without taking a shot with them! The shot, by the way, was sweet/fruity and not gross. We ordered a round of drinks and enjoyed sitting outdoors. Food was all right: just your standard bar food, but nothing to write home about. Fries are good. But they messed up on my cheesecake. Its supposed to have raspberry sauce. I attended an event at the Branded Saloon, and I had an absolutely amazing experience. When you first arrive, you're greeted by the bartender in a nice little bar area. In the back there's a great open room for events and screenings, and downstairs they even have a pool table. I got a carafe of Sangria ($11 during happy hour) and it was super delicious. My partner and I also ordered a cheese plate and some friend pickles, both of which were to die for. Overall, a pretty nice place just to hang out with cool people and make new friends. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Patrick was such a delight and paid so much attention to detail without being overbearing to our table. All of the staff was very friendly and outgoing. I almost imagined what it would it be like to work there for a second. Our waitress was great and our food was nice and hot! The only reason they did not receive 5 stars was because the lighting, bathroom cleanliness, and it was cold inside (they had the door open most of the day/night).
