Hugo spritz

Bar Louise was a lovely spot for a Sunday dinner and cocktail. The restaurant is narrow and has some outdoor seating as well. When we stopped in, it was not busy. They have happy hour all day on Sunday for $10 spritzes and $10 snack trays. I had a Hugo spritz and it was sooo good! We shared deviled eggs (minus the roe), cheese plate and Arancini. All of the food was tasty and enjoyable. Staff was friendly and attentive. They have a bathroom that is both clean and pretty. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful cocktail bar with good drinks and bites. Made a reservation on a weekend but wasn't too busy. Nice ambiance with flower decorations and chandeliers. We were kinda bummed because they ran out of oysters for their martini and oyster special. Ordered a few cocktails and ricotta toast as well as chips with dips and everything was delicious. Nice place for a girls night out, they have a happy hour weekdays and specials on the weekend.

My coworkers and I came here after work after finding out that this bar opened in Park Slope. The outside is kind of unassuming - no big signs; but the place inside is super cute. It is more tighter in the front bar area but in the back it was bigger and had more table seating. My attending came earlier to get a seat for about six people - it was a little cramp but we all made it work. The staff was super friendly. I will say definitely come early but the place got really packed even on a Wednesday night. I got the pretty lady drink which was really yummy - it was rimmed with a sour sugar to offset the sweet drink. For food - we got a bunch of the small plates to try. -The chips and dip were solid - the chips were really yummy. -Snack tray: this was eh, but I'm also not a fan of olives but I would pass on this -Pigs in Blanket: Very good and cripsy as well. The sauce is very mustard-y so if you are not a fan then would pass on the dippin gi tin -Charcuterie Board: Also a delicious, but you really cannot go wrong with a charcuterie board. -Meatballs: This was relaly yummy - highly recommend this -Octopus: Also delicious Overall - great vibes and yummy drinks and food. Would recommend checking out this place if you are in the area.

Wish the bartender had explained the cocktails instead of talking to her friend.

Everything was great. The French onion dip and lasagna were amazing. I'm excited to go back and try more menu items.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

This fit the bill exactly. We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.

Putnam's is suuuuuch a vibe, y'all…read more It's vintage with a cool guy twist. It's comfortable and eclectic. It's warm woods and cozy booths. It's also reallllly good food. Like the Double Stack - my go to. I read thru the menu every time I visit but I just keep going back to the burger. They use two thin patties to make one delicious burger. Add the bacon if you want to level up... worth it. And the fries. Oooh they're good. The sweet potato fries w/ their sprinkle of salt are top notch. But the skinny fries are also really good. Highly suggest going w/ a friend and ordering a cup of each to split. It's worth going back again and again. The staff each and every time I've visited have been kind and accommodating. And sometimes that's exactly what you need to round out a really good meal. Bonus points for whoever is in charge of the playlist. Every single time I've been the music has been on point. A combination of eclectic and vintage that makes you pause for just a second to say "I forgot about this song!" So fitting for Putnam's.

The service was sooo slow and bizarre. The server (multiple times) would come to our area and then leave without talking to us. We ended up having to go inside to pay our bill.
