ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE...THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT!!! my third review ever on here. so you know it is bad. Got a 2020 F150 Ford Truck. BP Ford is across the street from my house so its unfortunate I will not use them anymore. Strike #1 (04/2023 and 12/2023) I took my truck in for an oil change. On BOTH occasions, I picked up my truck and saw it was parked in a spot open to the public with my windows rolled down. Luckily, the truck was not stolen or items taken from inside. And yes, vehicle theft is a common occurrence at dealerships due to this type of negligence. In addition, the truck was dirty inside with giant boot prints on the floor board. Service took hours for a simple oil change but I said whatever and moved on. Strike #2 (07/2024)I took my truck for a 40K mile service first thing in the morning. Female salesperson assured me the truck would be ready before 12pm. Of course, it was not. I called and inquired about my truck with the same salesperson. Her answer to me was "unfortunately, the mechanics went to lunch." Enough said. Did not get a call to pick up my truck until approximately 4PM. wasted my entire day waiting for them. Strike #3 Scheduled a mobile service oil change the day prior. got a call today advising my time slot was moved. I called BP and spoke to Daniel who told me an oil change takes 1.5 hours. Dumbfounded as to why a simple oil change takes 1.5 hours to complete, I asked why. He did not know either. I told him to cancel my appointment. That's the end. If you care about your car, don't take it there because clearly, they do not. SMH. read more

I bought a brand new F150 Lightning Flash from BP Ford of Long Beach in November 2024. 1. Greeted by Ernesto, a very knowledgeable sales person who gave me plenty of info during the test drive. 2. Worked with Jesus to get the final price and a great deal (full disclosure, I qualified for X Plan pricing) 3. Off to Diego in finance who got me a great rate with Ford Motor Credit and got me through the mound of paperwork involved in that. 4. Finished up with Kamran, who is a very informative and genuinely nice individual. We went through the basics of the new truck. He and Ernesto helped me get all the settings dialed in and off the lot I drove. We may no longer be able to "Go See Cal" but BP Ford of Long Beach certainly is a great place to buy a new vehicle. Update - 05.23.25 I called the dealership this week. Left a message for Mark in sales because I still have NOT received the $1000.00 check I'm due for the balance of my trade-in value. I have yet to receive a phone call. I just tried calling Shant, apparently per the receptionist he's been on vacation since last week and there's nobody there that I can talk to in his place; he didn't leave an interim. Soon after purchasing my car, I realized that I wasn't provided full information or choices on rebates and/or offers that were available when I bought it 2 weeks ago. I asked my salesman Jim for the offer related to a home car charger/install and was told it wasn't an option. Even though I had (still have) the picture of the promotion on my phone that I could show to prove at the time of purchase, I took him at his word & doubted myself thinking I misunderstood the promotion. However, once I got home after hours at BP Ford brokering the car deal, I realized it had clearly been an option when I further investigated the promotion on both BP Ford & Ford's official websites (I have the official Ford.com promotion screenshot too). I have reached out to Eman, the manager who originally assisted me, two times to help me solve this situation. I have received no response; he completely ghosted me once he got the sale out of me. I spoke with Kamran who tells me I should have seen that BP Ford had given me the $500.00 cash towards the sale of the car when I signed my paperwork (after hours of waiting, no food, & more documents than I process in a week at work). You know the $500.00 cash option towards the sale that staff took the liberty of choosing for me thus taking away my freedom of choice. Nobody ever pointed out to me on the paperwork that the $500.00 credit was a choice in lieu of the car charger & install (I would have never clocked it at the dealership because Jim told me it wasn't an option). I wasn't allowed to make up my own mind and choose which promotion best suited my needs. My guess is that what I experienced is common practice because the $500.00 cash promotion suits BP Ford's bottom line much better than the home car charger promotion does (This choice includes both the home car charger & install per Ford's official website). To be perfectly clear: I would have chosen the home car installation/charger option, hands down, no brainer, no hesitation. Although my initial experience was pleasant, my happiness has quickly turned into dissatisfaction and disappointment with the final outcome of my particular car sale experience. I hope this reaches the right people at the BP Ford executive staff to ensure they do a better job of keeping their team accountable through transparency and education so that customers who trusted their team don't feel the way I do right now. read more

I brought my truck to Ford of Long Beach for a loss of power and misfire issue. It's now been over two and a half weeks and the core issue still isn't fixed. They've called me twice saying it was ready, but I immediately noticed the engine tremble on idle and excessive air coming from the exhaust -- the same symptoms I originally reported. Each visit felt like I had to diagnose the problem myself. First it was spark plugs, then fuel injectors, then I had to personally show them the turbo wasn't building boost, which turned out to be a loose hose they said was "normal." Even after that, the tremble and flutter on idle remained. No follow-up after I emailed them with a video showing the continued issue. I've been back and forth, wasting time and feeling like I can't trust their service. I've had better experiences at other Ford dealers like South Bay Ford. Really disappointed. I expected more from a certified Ford dealership. They also have a triple a certifies repair shop, well doesn't feel like they're certified. read more

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Bought a used car and they listed a $175 charge for floor mats. I was handed a car with no mats. I called back and got the run around for days. Finally I left a message for the General Manager stating their sales people were committing fraud. Finally a sales manager called me and said he would send mats. I specifically said don't send me generic mats that don't fit. He said don't worry, I will buy mats directly from the manufacturer and have them delivered since I live 45 minutes away. He said he would send an order confirmation which never came. A week later he sent a $25 set of generic mats. I would never go back and am telling everyone I know about this treatment. A $31k sale and they can't send me the mats they promised. And that is after they tacked on $6k of useless "options" to the listed price! Great choices being made! read more

I never write reviews, but this one is necessary. This should have been a simple visit to get a replacement battery (within warranty). I called to confirm they had record of my purchase, they did. I tried to schedule a time to come in, they said I didn't need to and to just bring in my battery whenever, so the next day (today) I showed up with my dead battery (tested by me, a mechanic). When I arrived, I was asked if I had an appointment, which I was told I didn't need to have, but now am being told I do need an appointment. I was then told that in order for me to get my battery replaced (under warranty), it needs to be installed in my vehicle. I asked them if the expectation was for me to have my now dead vehicle towed to the service department so that they could confirm the battery is bad, they said, "unfortunately, yes". I couldn't help but respond by asking if they understood how silly that sounds, they did agree, so I'll give them that. As someone who works in service, this is unacceptable. Obviously, I did not get my vehicle towed there, I did not purchase another new battery from them (since its clear how they honor warranty). Thanks BP Ford. read more

Be cautious when purchasing a used vehicle at this location, specially if you are a young inexperienced person. Bring someone that can help you make wise decisions. My daughter came to buy a veh and was not explained her contract properly. She purchased a 2024 ford put down 7k veh didn't have a spare tire. She had the car for 4 days and got buyers remorse and the dealership was attempting to put her on another veh that was going to cost her $900 a month and high in insurance hence a Tesla. The downpayment is gone and she either gets a car she doesn't want from their dealership or she surrenders the car to the lender either way she is in a tuff spot. She then decided to drive off the lot with the original purchased vehicle and noticed the tire lights come on her screen as soon as she drove out her tire popped to our surprise there was no spare and had to pay for a tow to the nearest tire shop. We asked the sales man where was the spare and he said he couldn't find one, he then sent the mechanic to add air and we noticed a small tear knife like on the tire. No one was able to tell us if the tires had warranty. The whole experience has been horrible and has caused us anxiety. Parents do not allow your young adult to go alone when sales agents only care about making money or selling a car and don't care about what best fits you. Definitely not recommending anyone here. Avoid BP Ford of Long Beach at All Costs I can't stress this enough--do yourself a favor and stay far away from BP Ford of Long Beach. After reading through several reviews, I should have known better, but unfortunately, they had the truck I was looking for. Big mistake. I initially reached out to them online, and they gave me a written promise to sell me the truck for $40K plus tax and license. They even ran my credit, told me I was approved, and gave me a 7% interest rate. Everything seemed good to go, so I made the trip down to the dealership, fully expecting a smooth experience. What happened when I got there? I had to wait over an hour just to speak with someone. When they finally came back to me, they had the nerve to tell me the price was now $42K--$2K more than what they had promised me in writing. On top of that, the interest rate was bumped up to 8%. This was a complete bait-and-switch! The terms they sent me were not honored, and they tried to make me accept a deal that was way worse than what was initially agreed upon. Thankfully, I had a backup plan. I called a dealership just 15 minutes away, and they had the same exact truck. Not only did they beat BP Ford's promised price by $2,500, but they also gave me a 6% interest rate--lower than what BP Ford had initially offered. If you check the reviews, you'll see I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience with this place. There are plenty of unhappy customers who have had similar issues with bait-and-switch pricing and poor customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did. Please please please save your energy and stay as far away from this dealer as possible. Marc was pleasant, honest, and kind, however everything/everyone else was extremely disappointing. The sales manager confirmed and reconfirmed an appointment for us to come check out a car. After driving two hours to get there, we waited an hour in the waiting room just for that same sales manager to tell us that the car isn't even on the lot. To make matters worse, that same sales manager tried to "work us out a discount/deal" due to our dissatisfaction with the customer service, and somehow the final price came out to be $5k MORE than the original listed price. When we asked about this, he said he needed to put dealer add-ons so that he can make up for the discount that he apparently offered....TRUST ME, the math did not add up. BTW WE NEVER ENDED UP SEEING THE CAR AT ALL AND THIS GUY WAS TRYING TO GET US TO AGREE TO A PRICE... I may not be explaining myself clearly but all I can say is do not go to this dealer. There's pros and cons. William is the best. Ask for him if you want to buy a car. Careful when dealing with others. They will go far to help you in some areas but leave you with other outcomes negative in nature as well. For example, there were some fixes I needed to be done as was in the due bill agreement. They replaced a cracked tail light but sold the car I traded in with the rims and tires my son wanted. The tires were new and they were more expensive pirelli tires. When I asked about what can he done, I was answered with "oh, we sold the car, there's nothing we can do". That's like $6k I should have been reimbursed. Also, the front bumper was missing a sensor (this is a safety issue). It fell out the night I drove it home. They said it wasn't on the due bill so they couldn't help me. Naw, really? Of course it wasn't on the due bill, it happened on the way home. I've owned over 10 cars in my life and although this dealership is a big one, some of its practices are like those small shady dealerships. First of all there was "bait and switch" on pricing... Online says one price and when I got there on site, they placed $4k more on the price for a "package" that was non-negotiable. This was mysteriously not mentioned on the website. So yeah I was pretty close to getting my attorney to lawyer up but William was so nice and helpful I decided not to. And no, I'm not talking like I'm some important big shot and I could've done this or that blah blah blah. I'm talking about I was really close to suing this dealership after speaking to my attorney (nice to have family friend who's a lawyer in Los Angeles that takes calls on their busy days at court). I got somewhat of a "win" when they forgot to add $ owed from my trade in but I didn't feel bad after I experienced everything negative with them. I actually was going to pay it out of pocket just because it felt right, but I figured to hold off until I witnessed what they would do with the due bill items... My friends that sell cars and work at dealerships told me not to pay the $ because it wasn't on the contract and I don't owe them anything... Especially after I told them they sold the trade in car without swapping the rims and tires as promised on the due bill. They also gave me like $4k lower than what my car was worth, especially with the added packages my trade in had. My dealership friends told me my trade in car was a "unicorn" because of all the extra packages it had. They were pretty upset when I told them what BP Ford gave me for a trade in value. I didn't tell BP Ford I had friends at different dealerships and also not only in sales and financing, but also master techs at different dealerships. Sometimes it's best to not let them know to see how they truly are. You could ask then why did I buy the car and it's because I needed a car for my son and it only costs between $20k-$30k so it's not that big of a deal, just wanted to let you all know what to watch out for here. They have recently went through like 2 or 3 managers at this location. They like to talk to you and get stuff done for positive points but then if things go wrong they'll have someone else give you the bad news so they don't have to explain and mysteriously disappear behind the employees only locations. My other friends in the business told me some of the things to look out for. Haha like no, you're not slick at all, already know about these tendencies. You're busy playing the part but I already know it's just acting in a play. But it is whatever, you do and say what you want, I'll just take note and let everyone know the games you play. There's a lot of pressure managing a crap show, so I get it, you have to find a way to keep your job and keep the higher ups happy, but also try not do what you can to keep the customer as happy as can be. Oh, and be careful about he extended warranty stuff, at other dealerships, it's ball taken care of when you have something covered fixed, here they actually charge you $200 to have something fixed. So if the covered item costs $300 to fix, you still pay $200... But I guess that's the way to not go bankrupt, charge $200 for each fix action on an extended warranty that's supposed to cover everything like a factory warranty without all those fine print items that actually make it a partial warranty you pay for up fron in full on the loan or purchase and pay along the way for each action as well on top... Oh and they promised to deliver the vehicle after it's fixed and they didn't. They also promised a loaner car and didn't give me one... Maybe I should lose the rating here? William, if you're reading this, you're awesome, you just work at a horrible place. All the service reps I talked to are nice to talk to though. They keep it real. We'll see how this pans out along the way. I'll update my review accordingly. read more

We have four Ford vehicles in the family and this is by far the worst Ford dealership in the area since becoming BP Ford. The cost for an oil change was $143. PLUS 3% if using a credit card vs $89 at Caruso where credit card purchases are welcome with no additional fees. We also purchased a new Maverick last week and ended up purchasing at Caruso to avoid all the ridiculous mark-ups and add-ons and games we experienced at BP. BP is the most convenient location for us, but we will never be back, at least while it's under the current management. read more

Today is July 25--five full business days--and I still have not received a copy of the purchase agreement, any loan documents, or related paperwork. We have already emailed the finance department, called their office, and left messages for the salesperson, but no one has responded. This dealership is worthy of zero stars. I bought a new car in December. The salesman told me that five add-ons were required -- this is completely illegal to do, based on federal regulations. The next day, they promised to reimburse the $5,000. But here we are in June and they still haven't carried through with their promise. They keep making excuses. Just refund the money you promised! Well, let's see if I can properly recount the events that led me to leave this review. I called the sales person on a Tuesday evening, who knew very little, if anything about the vehicle in which I was interested. Rather than telling me that he would get back to me after doing some research, he proceeded to tell me some incorrect details which I knew were made up on the spot. Undeterred, I decided to make an appointment and go and look at the vehicle the next morning. Wednesday morning, I called to confirm my appointment with BP Ford of Long Beach. Not only did I call the office, but I also texted the individual salesman on his personal cell phone who also confirmed the appointment. Upon my arrival, I was informed that said salesman did not work on that particular day. No problem, I figured the dealership would take care of him and I would deal with someone else. When I inquired about the vehicle they told me that the vehicle had sold and they had nothing similar. Did I mention that I drove over an hour and 15 minutes to the dealership based on the confirmed appointment that we had? Obviously, being somewhat dissatisfied with the events that had occurred thus far, I decided to depart the dealership. Having been in business for a very long time, I thought that perhaps the sales manager would like to know what had happened. I contacted Shaun, the sales manager, and informed him of my experience. To his credit, he apologized profusely. He also told me not to leave the area and that he would call me back within 15 minutes to give me other options as well as a new sales person with whom I could work. Well, it's been over a month and I've yet to hear anything from the manager. Almost comically, the salesperson followed up the next day via text to ask how it went. I told him exactly what had happened and to no surprise, he did not respond again. I'm truly in awe at how this dealership stays in business and will never forget this experience. Inappropriate and Unprofessional Behavior My experience with Cesar Nava at BP Ford of Long Beach was completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I went to test drive a Bronco, but instead of focusing on the vehicle, he kept making inappropriate comments and asking personal questions. He asked if I was single, why I didn't have a boyfriend, and even said I was "too cute to be single." He then started talking about taking me jet-skiing to Catalina Island, That he normally rents them out. But, he would gladly take me for free. He also mentioned he bartends and could invite me to places, and even suggested I text him with "hello, hook me up" He also asked for my number, and when I refused, I decided to leave because I couldn't handle his unprofessional behavior anymore. What made it even worse was that Cesar mentioned he was "top sales." I don't see how someone who treats customers like this could possibly be at the top of anything. He couldn't answer basic questions about the Bronco's features, which made it clear he wasn't even interested in helping me make an informed decision. I left without even wanting to know more about the car. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. I will never go back to BP Ford of Long Beach. If you're looking for professionalism, respect, and real customer service, avoid this place entirely. read more
