Overcharged and Completely Ignored Extremely disappointing experience. I discovered that I was overcharged on every food item compared with the prices they advertise online. I contacted them to question the price differences and request that they refund the difference between the prices charged and the prices advertised online, but their customer service has been completely nonexistent. I emailed their advertised customer service/info address at least five times over the course of a week and did not receive a single response--not even an acknowledgment. I also reached out to their corporate office and received no response there either. Mistakes can happen, but refusing to even acknowledge a customer's complaint is unacceptable. I am still owed the difference in pricing, and despite making repeated attempts to resolve this directly, this business has made absolutely no effort to address the issue. If you have a problem with a charge, don't expect customer service to help. Based on my experience, there simply isn't any. read more

Me and my friends went to bowl 360 to catch up with each other and play a couple of games. It was $25 per person to play for two hours with shoes included, which is not a bad deal. Nothing really stood out at this bowling alley, we had a good time and I enjoyed the experience. Just NO!!!!! We came to Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate a friend's birthday and unfortunately the experience was incredibly disappointing. The service was honestly some of the worst I've experienced. A few highlights from the evening: 1. The women's restroom was extremely dirty -- toilet paper and trash were all over the floor, which set a poor tone for the night. 2. Drinks took nearly two hours to arrive, despite multiple inquiries, and when they finally came they weren't even what we ordered. 3. Our server disappeared for over 90 minutes. There was no check-in, no explanation, and no handoff to another staff member. 4. The music didn't match the crowd or the atmosphere, which made the overall vibe feel off. 5. Staff and management seemed completely disengaged, as if they simply didn't care about the experience customers were having. 6. When I raised concerns, management refused to refund the $50+ we spent on two basic drinks that took hours to arrive. At the very end of the night they tried to "make up for it" by replacing our cold curly fries -- but the second order was just as underwhelming. 7. To make matters worst they cut our lane time. Overall, it was a really frustrating experience, especially for what was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration. I come here often for their $10 bowling deal which includes two hours of unlimited bowling per person and shoe rental. The deal is every day from 10am to 1pm. The bowling alley is clean and seems newly renovated. They have a decent number of lanes in the place but it does get packed as the day goes on. There are food and drinks to order for an additional cost as well as arcade games upstairs. Staff are always helpful and friendly. If you ask the manager to extend your time at the end of the two hours if you want to finish up your current game, they're happy to do so! Cheaper than some other bowling alleys in NYC, but you get what you pay for: a poor bowling experience. The balls are extremely greasy, and the lanes are poorly taken care of--there was trash on our lane past the foul line that we had to remove in order to play. Also the pins are string pins, which behave poorly. The waitress came by the second we sat down and asked if we wanted any food or drinks, and I said "not right now, but later" and then she never came back again. I wasn't gonna mention this, but I saw that other people have complained on here about M.I.A. waitstaff, so it felt worth mentioning. There's a distinct smell of bad weed that wafts through the place periodically. They play music videos and clips from random Marvel movies all along the wall above the pins for some bizarre reason--and if that wasn't distracting enough, the clips jitter and pixelate periodically due to a crappy connection or something. This place is great during the middle of the week. I went with friends on a Wednesday night and it was empty. The place was clean and service was done quickly. We had asked to use 2 bowling lanes (we were a group of 6 people and wanted to do 3-3) but they had placed us all on one lane and when we brought it up they said they could no longer do to labes as they had entered all the names already. Which was odd as we still have not started playing. We were able to play 3 games. The food staff was very nice. This might be the worst bowling experience of all time. There wasn't one positive part of our time there. Chips were stale, couldn't salt the fries, out of half their menu, couldn't get drinks and out of water in the machines. Came here for their Super bowl special $10 pp for 2 hours of bowling between 10AM - 1PM and it was a great experience for the price. It was just 2 of us in a lane so we were tired by the end of the 2 hours. I imagine if you had more people to a lane you would want more time. Facility was clean and bathroom smelled like bleach so at least it's clean lol. I didn't really see any waiters or workers asking for orders but I only came for bowling so didn't matter to me. Music was fine nothing provocative. I did see someone throwing a birthday party on the other side with a bunch of kids. Downside is I didn't feel like my lane was well oilled and the balls didn't feel very clean so I had to really scrub my hands after. Again, I think this place is great for the price. I used to come here often in high school when Bowl 360 was Shell Lanes. It's gotten a bit of a face lift under new management, though much of the bones are still the same. It's still a low key neighborhood spot which I appreciate. Bowl 360 is a solid family friendly venue, though their menu is upgraded with more drinks and food for the 21+ crowd. Worth coming for a fun night out with friends or on a date. They have a $25 per person deal for two hours unlimited bowling that includes shoe rental on Sunday-Thursday 1pm until close. For a party of 4, you can play maybe three games before you run out of time to complete a fourth. read more

I've been to the Bowl 360 in Queens-- I was unaware that they had taken over the prior bowling alley (Shell Lanes). Upon arrival, I waited upstairs in the gaming area until the rest of my family arrived. I noticed a couple of the games weren't operable and that each game cost two bucks. While we waited, we ordered a bunch of food upstairs, where they have seating. One major difference here is, you have to pay for each item as you go, it's not the standard cumulative bill. This was a nuisance because it was over 20 of us, and three of us planned on splitting the bill because two others paid the bill for the shoes and bowling. So I'd say beware of that fact, if you do plan on splitting the bill here for food. The place got very crowded and the seating area isn't very large, but we didn't feel cramped with the folks next to us, on either side. The music was kid friendly and the environment wasn't bad. Our server was excellent, at some points, we thought she took awhile and we struggled to locate her; however, they appeared to have a lack of staff because she seemed to be the only one working on our side. I saw two people at the table for shoes, but toward the late afternoon/evening, the crowd picked up big time. I'd say be prepared to wait here a bit. Overall, this is a pretty decent bowling area and it's good to have a decent bowling, other than Melody Lanes, which is very close to me, but is a little run down and lacks many food options. read more

I applied to have a corporate event here and once I got a call from the business to finalize the booking, I was told I need to pay in full 3 days before the reservation. Okay maybe I can put a deposit down. Nope. Full payment. I wouldn't mind usually but the corporate card must be charged the day of the event. Even after explaining this to the manager we were still declined. We were even willing to walk in but then was told we most likely will not get lanes together. Visited Bowl 360 Brooklyn with a group of friends for a night out. I used to frequent this place when it was Shell Lanes, and while there have been cosmetic updates, there's a downside - they now have string pins, which isn't ideal. If you're planning to visit during the day, it might be a decent experience. However, I strongly advise against going late at night. On our visit, there were five of us, and despite being told we had an hour left, we were only given one lane. The service was slow from the start; it took us 15-20 minutes just to place a drink order. The wait staff kept blaming a system issue, but we noticed other lanes managing to place their orders smoothly. In the end, we only got to play one full game, and the second game was cut short to just four frames. It felt like they took advantage of us, providing poor customer service and essentially scamming us out of our money. We wanted to finish our game, but they would not allow us to finish. They ended up closing up our lane and pushed us to leave the establishment. Logically, we should have been split to 2 lanes. But according to their calculations 1 lane was enough for 5 peoples to play 2 games within an hour. read more

I hosted my son's 13th birthday here. We invited a few of his friends to go bowling. Parents and siblings were welcome. There was fun. There was food. We brought a sheet cake from BJ's and brought it along. There was a dining table and chairs by each bowling lane. We ordered pizza, chicken tenders and fries off their menu. One jumbo pretzel and a medium Pepsi for ten dollars. It's small inside but the music is good. Very up beat. The type that makes you want to boogie. This place is dreadful and it pains me to say it because I used to actually enjoy this spot in the past. They closed it for renovations and I guess they had to get rid of most of the staff but the new staff that's here has a lot of room to improve. Let me start by saying I paid over 700 dollars for a two hour event. A friend of mine loves bowling so I wanted to surprise her with a bowling party. I ordered two shareable platters in addition to the wings that are part of the package. Now let's start with the service, if someone pays for an event you expect the staff to be prepared and to be warm and welcoming. You expect things to be put in place and that was simply not the case here. The staff seemed confused, there was a long wait before we could begin our game and a longer wait for the actual food which didn't come till almost an hour into our game. Now let's discuss the food, the food was all terrible food and not worth the money. The sliders I ordered were all over cooked, slightly burned and so dry you could choke. The sea food platter was also overcooked, tasted rubbery and had no flavor. The wings were also over cooked, I mean how could you mess up chicken? These people could! The only few saving graces here is the fact that the actual atmosphere is great. To be specific, the lanes here are fun to bowl on and they also play good music with a mix of pop, hiphop, and rnb tunes. Another thing is that the alcoholic drinks are not watered down here and are pretty good as well. If I would have known this would be my experience I would have just went to the bowling alley and paid for two hours on a lane instead of buying the event package. I also will never eat any food from here again until I see that they improve not only with their service staff but with their food quality as well. I had been to this place before and wanted to check it out. Figured it might be a fun place. The ambiance was fine. I didn't have the food but it looked like you could get it anywhere. Nothing special. The service was ok. The employees were very helpful and had a pleasant demeanor. I had no issues. My biggest issue was the fact that they did not honor their MLK promotion. I decided to go here because of their MLK promotion. When I arrived I had to wait for about 30 mins for a lane to open up. This was expected, no problem. When I went up to pay the attendant said that their manager said that it was a mistake and they had to charge $25 per person instead of $15. They weren't honoring the online promotion. I had already made plans and dedicated to this event and changing wasn't an option especially since I waited 30 minutes already. This promotion was on their website for a few days. If it was a mistake they should have taken it down immediately. A reasonable person would believe that this was not an accident since the promotion was advertised for several days. When I arrived at 1pm I saw no signs or any indication that the promotion was an error. If there is an error in your promotion you should fix it immediately if you don't then you should honor it and learn from your mistakes. At the very least offer some kind of alternative. It was 3:53 pm and your add was still up. It is poor business practice to bait and switch your customers. The irony here is that you used the image of a great individual who fought for a better society and you disgraced it by deceiving your customers. You have lost my trust and respect as a patron.
