Awesome movie theater we are so lucky to have in this neighborhood! This is a fun place to catch a movie. Quick service during the movie and a great variety of snacks and meals. And don't forget about the bar upstairs! It's a great place to meet with friends for a tasty drink. The $10 mystery cocktails are always fun and a good deal. Can't recommend this place enough.

Nitehawk is a 3 level Cinema Cafe on the Corner of Prospect Park W & 14th Street. The location, just across the traffic circle from Prospect Park, is extremely convenient for Windsor Terrace, Park Slope & South Slope. We went to see Wicked, which we thought my Grandson would enjoy. He did, except for the "To Be Continued" ending. I'm a Musical Theatre lover. So I'm not always enamored with changes made for movie adaptations of Broadway Musicals or the Non Musical Theatre actors cast in the leading roles. That said, this review is for the theater not the movie. Nighthawk Cinema is ticketless. The server checks your digital seat confirmation on his first path through the row. Service was a bit slow. Our server could have easily taken our order when he checked our tickets so the food would have arrived quicker. It was written on the small sheet of paper provided for that purpose. I had checked the menu before arriving at the theater since I'm on a perennial diet. It was clever that they offered at least one menu item that was movie themed. For Wicked it was a cocktail, Elphaba's Elixir. I chose the Cornflakes Encrusted Chicken Tenders, which were surprisingly large & tasty. They came with Fries, which I never eat. But.....I did anyway. Of course I had to try the Elphaba's Elixir. The cocktail was good but was served in a tiny martini style glass. My Grandson chose the same, sans the cocktail. My son went with the more traditional popcorn. The food & drink were served without any napkins, straws, eating utensils or water. I first asked for a cocktail straw with the drink, because of shaky hands & lip. I was brought a regular sized straw which wouldn't stay in the tiny cocktail glass. I had to hold it for quite some time before the food was served. That finally provided a place to put the straw between sips. A request had to be made for water since the chicken & fries would have been a choking hazard otherwise. I removed a star from the otherwise excellent review because of simple & affordable necessities that should have been provided at the prices charged, The auditoriums were small with theater style seating. Ample sized non adjustable tables served two seats each. It was quite easy to slip into the comfortable seat with plenty of leg room. It was harder for this senior citizen to get up.:) The auditoriums were on 3 different floors with stairs or an elevator taking patrons to the upper floors. After the movie we waited for my son to pull the car around from his street parking spot. My Grandson & I waited in a comfortable alcove that had obviously been created in a renovation that removed the ticket booth. The remaining microphone portions mounted in the glass were a fun thing for my Middle School aged Grandson to play with. I explained that they had been a part of a ticket booth, pointing out the wood covering in the payment slot. In the midst of explaining to him about ticket booths, my son arrived & came inside because we weren't watching for him. I told him why we missed his arrival. Laughing, he told my Grandson "Yes, there was a time when theaters actually used paper tickets." :) Who would have thought that this would be archaic for Gen Alpha? Overall the theater experience was positive. The location is convenient & the theater comfortable with accessibility. But I'll always bring paper towels & request water instead of a cocktail.

As I start to frequent Nitehawk more it is growing on me. It gives more of a family owned business than a commercial movie theater, that gives the feel of a local Brooklyn neighborhood spot. The service for food and drinks inside of the theater is impeccable. The servers are friendly, fast, and they come around often to clean your table, which is crucial if ordering more than 2 items.

Come early! Then you can accurately order your food and enjoy the experience. We came after the credits and were able to order food but it was hard to read the menu. I did order the in house beef jerky. It was tasty and they gave a huge portion. I ordered a half pour. I would recommend stopping at the bar first they had happy hour! The seats were comfortable and I would go again. Parking is a little rough so leave with 10 minutes to circle the blocks. The service was laid back and inviting. I will be back!

Saw the new Bob Marley movie One Love it's was amazing. The movie is based life of reggae singer and songwriter Bob Marley, from his rise to fame in the mid-1970s up until his death in 1981. Irie Rastafarian man The theatre is awesome. They have food service however this night the staff was a bit overwhelmed so I just got an ice coffee which was perfect bold as I like it.

Was a really fun location to enjoy a movie and a meal with the family. The butter popcorn was amazing (a bit too much butter for my taste, but great nonetheless); my wife had their truffle popcorn which was the best! Good selection of drinks, especially non-alcoholic beer which I was very grateful for. Service was very good, and friendly. Just wish the seating was set differently; maybe I'm just spoiled with today's "stadium" seating found in newer theaters; the seating here was OG (where you hope the person that sits in front of you isn't super tall); but then again, that's the charm of such a theatre, right?!

I really wanted to like this theater because it is the reincarnation of my former dating spot, The Pavillion, but it looks like it got downsized. The theater looks great from the front. They got a concession stand now that looks like a bar and a section to sit with new couches. The seats where you go watch the movies are smaller or at least it feels that way because of how squished we are to the next person. The tables are small that it seems impossible for two people to eat at the same time so we ordered one menu item each time to make sure we had space to place them. The soft beverages should have been free refills like the way it is in Alamo but was half off for refills instead. The truffle popcorn was too small for the price that was charged. There seemed to be more cocktail options than food in the menu. I did enjoy the pina colada, which relaxed me with a well-balanced amount of alcohol. The truffle popcorn was tasty but just not enough. I did not enjoy their nachos which has super spicy cheese. The movie screening was great so it wasn't a terrible experience but I've had better movie-dining experiences.

First time here and I was very pleased, vintage style movie theater with a dine in twist. I love the menu here they have movie inspired drinks and appetizers. I came to see beetle juice. The theaters are big. The have a restaurant and bar on the second floor which is pretty cool. I had the neon demon which was a frose drink very delicious and refreshing followed by a blink twice inspired drink which was also really good. For food I tried the corn flakes fried chicken tenders and fries, yum. I seen people rave about the chicken here and it is amazing. Fresh nicely seasoned, fried to perfection and so were the fries I'm not too big on fries but it definitely hit the spot. The pretzel dogs are also a must. Service was quick and easy. Very nice

I love this place! The convenience is undeniable why I come here! There is assigned seating and the kitchen is stocked! They make movie themed drinks that change with the movies rotation! And you can bring the kiddos and indulge as well! Yes they have kids menu! Yes they have brunch! Yes they have candy and popcorn! Yes, one flight up is a full stocked bar!!! Yes you will never leave here! Until you run out of money!!!

I enjoyed their Crescent Dip, which is a hummus dip with whipped feta and comes with a massive chip. The Full Moon Rice I wasn't really a fan of. After those two, they came out with the entree, which they called Fire, Water, Earth; essentially beet, halibut, and short rib. These were alright, not amazing. The third and final course came during the intermission of the show, which was a bunch of dessert treats and they were delicious. The show itself was fantastic. It was more than just aerobics, has there are also singing, dancing, and violinist. You may get wet in the front so FYI. There's also some fire involved. Overall, a well put together show. My only issue was whoever was working the salad station was entirely too heavy-handed with the sliced radishes. Ease up on those next time, partner. The show: exactly what you probably expect/fear/need/want - equal parts goofy and interesting, ridiculous and intriguing. It's well thought out, constructed and paced. (We were 'warned' from the start - how much 'we' put into it is what we'd be getting back out and that's legit... some people were completely "in it" and you could tell they loved every second of the adventure, whereas my in-laws started to fade after about 90 minutes.) I should fess up I was positive my "thinking outside of the box" was going to snag me the win but I completely flubbed and it's safe to assume my final guess was the WORST one of the night. The three hours went by smoothly... lots of laughs, lots of interacting with the other diners (suspects!) as well as the actors and before you knew it - crimes were being solved, tabs were being closed and it was time to head back into the cruel streets of the city that never sleeps. We were a party of seven (which is how many were seated per table) and I think we would've had an even better time had we been split up or went as a smaller group (so we could mix-and-match with other people, including the performers). The line to get inside, the line for pictures, and even trying to find our seating created a very chaotic atmosphere. We made a reservation for 9 people but were seated for 8, which resulted in two children having to share a chair. That was disappointing and felt unfair, especially considering the cost of the experience. The show itself was entertaining and the host was very kind, but the food was just mediocre. The potato was dry, and the chicken was unevenly seasoned -- one section had an overwhelming amount of seasoning while other parts had very little. For the amount of money spent, everything felt just "okay" rather than worth the price. Leaving the venue was also stressful. Guests for the next show were entering while our crowd was trying to exit, causing everyone to crash into each other and making the experience feel even more chaotic. Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves, but as an adult, the entire experience was overstimulating and not something I would personally rush to do again.

Travis also took the time to tell us about special events at the Speakeasy and even allowed us to take some photos. His exceptional service made our visit memorable, and we will certainly make IPIC our primary theater moving forward.

The staff came across as nonchalant and not very engaged, which set the tone right away. The food didn't help either--the spicy tuna was completely flavorless, not crispy and the drinks were underwhelming. We also weren't told ahead of time that you have to pick up your food and drinks yourself, which was surprising since we're used to full service at your seat. On the positive side, the popcorn and truffle fries were decent, but everything else fell short. The seats were just okay--not particularly comfortable. The bathroom situation was also frustrating--it's located upstairs near the restaurant and wasn't well maintained. There were no paper towels, and overall cleanliness was lacking. Overall, this felt like a subpar experience, and I won't be returning. My cousin mentioned the New Jersey location is much better, so maybe it's just this one--but based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend it.

It offers a more intimate, neighborhood cinema experience with comfortable seating, staggered seating arrangements in some theaters, and often features discounted tickets on certain days, making it a popular local spot. ' Cobble Hill is a landmark, and yes, love supporting an independent theatre. There is a time and a place for "stadium seating" however, there is something to be said for a small theatre. I really like the idea of just 50 people sharing this intimate space. I really feel as if I'm in my living room watching the movie. The theater has been renovated over the years and I must say the seating is comfy, a bit elevated thus no " big head" issues, very clean especially the bathrooms. The popcorn is still delicious and I see they have an add butter "faucet" which has been recently added. CH still offers discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays; used to be $9 back in the day. I love supporting this theater and you can't beat Cobble Hill neighborhood which offers a wealth of restaurants, shopping and just a cool area to stroll and view the beautiful brownstones.
