Great spot for a date night or hang out with a group as you get to drink and play games. There's a variety of video games and pin ball machines ranging from 2-4 quarters. It's good fun for a good price. Also enjoyed some cocktails and beer here, which were under $15. There isn't a kitchen here, so the only food are bar snacks like chips, jerky, nuts, and such though.

I love Barcade! It's a fun place to play games from your childhood. There's something amazing about revisiting that youthful feeling. For beer lovers, they have over 20 beers on tap. They offer happy hour Monday through Friday, as well as a late-night happy hour option. The concept is straightforward: it's precisely what the name implies: a bar and arcade. Overall, 4 stars.

Barcade is a fun spot to hang with friends in Williamsburg. My friend and I finished dinner in the area and it was cold and raining outside, so instead of walking along the waterfront we decided to come here instead. We arrived Friday night around 8:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded. Many of the games were available especially if you just waited for a couple minutes. We exchanged 10 bucks into tokens and tried out a variety of games. The most expensive were the pinball machines which required 3 tokens (75 cents), but most of the other games only required 1-2 tokens. We had a blast trying a bunch of different games, but my favorites were Donkey Kong and the shooting game Galaga right next to it.

I've been to better Barcades but this one is not too bad. There's limited games compared to other barcades I've been too. Like missing some of those oldies like Dance Dance revolution or some games with shooting zombies. The games itself are pretty cheap, requiring one or 2 quarters. The bar is in the middle and has plenty of seating. It didn't really get full but we left around 11pm. No cover when we came, not sure if there normally is.

No cover at the door, its dirty grungy and just the way I like it. Barcade is supposed to give a dive bar feeling, otherwise youre in the wrong place. i loved the full wall of pinball machines to choose from. and they had a few of my favorite games Ms. Pacman and the 4player Pacman tabletop, dugout, donkeykong, street fighter and They even had Crazy Taxi !!? Which I havent seen in a LONG TIME. I'll always come back here again and again. Bigger and nicer then St. Marks, not as big as chelsea but a much friendlier atmosphere. Everytime I go to Chelsea Barcade the staff is so nasty and the security is an a**hole no matter the time of day, the type of crowd etc. I've never had a positive experience at the barcade in chelsea

I love Barcade, and it's a good spot to have a little fun on a late night. Service is pretty decent... they will definitely make sure you got a good drink. The bartender may have a heavy hand so, if you're a little weight 1-2 drinks are good while you play some vintage arcade games. I love this place after a good dinner or a night of dancing. It's a chill spot. Good people. Live, laugh, and love -Sha

Awesome spot to pop in for some local beer and some great arcade games. It's in a great area to walk around and pop in-and-out of different bars! They don't serve food, but they offer chips and wrapped snacks for you to purchase.

Honestly, 10/10. Such a blast. I went here on a date after dinner. We initially got $5 worth of tokens and then ended up doing $20 more. It was such a blast. Excellent for a date night or with friends. The highlights were the Godzilla pinball game and the Toy Story 4 game.

After having brunch near by we decided to pop in here for a few got some coins , since Ms Pacman was taken we gave Ninja turtles a spin I mean it was fun to just hang for a few playing the game was fun. Decent size location, there's a bar & seating are not bad, music playing .. it was cool for an hour or so.

Came here for a friend's birthday and had a nice time. I was under the impression that they may have bar food but they didn't, so I was slightly disappointed until finding a taco truck nearby. Anyway! I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of games they had and felt the pricing for the games were reasonable. It's a nice spot to hang for a bit with friends or maybe even a date if this is your vibe. I'd stop in for a few if passing by but don't think I'd go out if my way to visit again.

This is the third Barcade location that I have been to. Though it is the original location, I had been to the St. Mark's and Chelsea ones before this one. For me, this one is the worst one of the three. The main negative is unlike the others, they do not serve food here and just offer a few snacks like pretzels and chips. In terms of games, they do have a larger game selection than the St. Mark's location (but smaller than the Chelsea location). I saw a few machines that I did not see at the other locations. These included Captain Commando, Dariusburst, and Rampage.

This is the original bar arcade, Barcade for short. There is a nice selection of arcade games and special buzzy drinks that will put you in the mood to play Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Gunblade NY, Daytona USA , NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, and Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles. Whenever I am in New York City, Philadelphia, or Newark I stop into a Barcade for some fun arcade gaming and alcoholic beverages to forget the rest of the world.

Always a good time when I go to Barcade. I've been to Jersey City and Newark (which is now closed) so I was excited to checkout the original location. My friend and I weren't drinking, we were there mainly for the games and conversation. After sitting at the bar for about 2 hours just talking, I can appreciate the bartender didn't pressure us to order alcohol. 5 stars bc I love that this location allows you to bring outside food (unlike the JC location that serves food) I will add this location is more handicap accessible bc it does not have stairs to access cetrain games. This could be a big deal for anyone with mobility concerns. Street parking available.

Had a fun time at Barcade with friends. Fun to grab a drink and play the games. It got a bit crowded so just something to think about.

What happened to Marble Madness?! So sad to come and see it's no longer there...

I would like to know if this establishment has the old school games like pacman, ms pacman, donkey Kong, centipede etc?

It has Pac-Man and Mrs Pac-Man. No donkey Kong or centipede. But it has other old school options, like street fighter 2, mortal combat, frogger, etc.

Is there air hockey?

No. Arcade video games and pinball only.

How many games are there? Does it get too crowded to play anything?

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator. A perfectly functional though unexciting wheelchair accessible restroom is available.
